Mario Kart 8 Leak Might Have Clues About Future DLC Courses

Mario and friends race along the new MK8 stage Waluigi Pinball.

Nintendo hasn’t revealed what the majority of mario kart 8‘s new courses will be, but players think they already know thanks to some clues reportedly left in the latest DLC files. Dataminers say the latest update contains a ton of leftover music references that hint at what 14 of the remaining 32 courses will be.

“Nintendo left then song prefetches to many future dlc courses in the BGM.bars of wave 2,” dataminer Fishguy6564 wrote on Twitter Thursday night. The discovery, apparently made by YouTube account recordreader, led to a list of music tracks pointing to various courses from past games in the Mario Kart series that would presumably appear in future DLC.

[SPOILERS] MK8D BOOSTER COURSE PASS MUSIC LEAK

The full list is:

  • Peach Gardens (DS)
  • Boo Lake of Broken Pier (GBA)
  • Alpine Pass (3DS)
  • Berlin Byways (Tour)
  • Waluigi Stadium (GCN)
  • Merry Mountain (Tour)
  • Rainbow Road (3DS)
  • Amsterdam Drift (Tour)
  • Singapore Speedway (Tour)
  • Los Angeles Laps (Tour)
  • Sunset Wilds (GBA)
  • Bangkok Rush (Tour)
  • Vancouver Velocity (Tour)
  • Maple Treeway (Wii)

Combining this apparent new info with Fishguy’s past datamining of the first DLC wave revealed a pretty thorough portrait of what types of courses could be coming in the future.

A lot of the courses are from toursthemobile Mario Kart spin-off. That’s not terrible news considering that the MK8 versions of many of those have been excellent so far. But players did quickly point out that if accurate, this means there are only two more Nintendo DS stages coming, and since one of them is Peach Gardens, not all of the fan-favorites like Airship Fortress, Luigi’s Mansion, and DK Summit will make the cut.

Fans will still have to wait a bit to see if these leaks get confirmed and how the rest of the question marks will be filled in. MK8‘s Booster Course Pass will add the remaining 32 new courses between now and the end of 2023.

The main character who becomes a Cave Raider grows with the help of more experienced Cave Raiders from the orphanage Nat, Shiggy, as well as help from Black Whistle Hablog and others. These familiar characters from Made in Abyss appear in the main story or are sometimes shown as having a connection to the protagonist in side quests.

At the start of “DEEP IN ABYSS” Riko and Reg have already set out from the bottom of the Abyss. We will meet them in the course of our exploration.

As you progress to deeper layers, you may visit facilities where a White Whistle (the highest rank) resides, such as the Seeker Camp in the second layer of the Abyss, and the frontline base in the fifth layer of the Abyss There are also quests that involve the current White Whistles, Ozen and Bondrewd.

Aim to Complete your Notebook

The Notebook, which is carried by the main character, records a variety of information, including people met, relics obtained in the Abyss, and primeval creatures encountered. Primeval creatures can be recorded in the notebook by observing them through a monocular. Be cautious while using the monocular, as the field of view is limited, so it is necessary to get somewhat close to observe them.

AAWireless Review – Use Android Auto Wirelessly

More and more current vehicle models offer the option of using Android Auto via the vehicle’s touch display. Unfortunately, it is still the case that you will need to connect the smartphone to the car via a USB cable in order to use it. Only very new cars provide this functionality wirelessly. But of course there are also users who still want to use this function wirelessly.

There are currently many manufacturers who want to offer this function with smaller devices. But so far only one company has stood with a mature solution. With AA Wireless you get a small device to connect to the car. You can use Android Auto functions wirelessly right away. The smartphone can now live in your pocket and connect via Bluetooth and WLAN to small adapters.

range of distribution

The scope of delivery of a wireless set is quickly explained, as it consists of only two parts. The adapter itself on one side and a short USB cable on the other. The cable is used to connect the adapter to the vehicle. The set does not offer any other parts and they are not required to use an adapter.

technical specifications

color: schwarz
Dimensions: 49mm x 49mm x 12mm
relationships: 1x USB-C
links: Bluetooth 4.2 and Wi-Fi: 2.4GHz / 5GHz ac/n
processor: Quad-core 1.3GHz
power consumption: 90mA to 330mA

die installation

Installation is incredibly easy. The first step is to download the AAWireless Companion app from Google Play Store for free. With this app you can do various settings and also run the new firmware on the adapter. Then simply connect the short USB-C cable from the delivery scope to the connection on the adapter and to the USB port in the vehicle. Now it takes a few seconds for the adapter to connect to the car and smartphone.

As soon as the connection is established, you can use the Android interface as you are used to. Except that the annoying wires between the smartphone and the car are no longer needed.

service

There is no such thing as the classic operation of a wireless adapter. Because apart from the reset button, there is no other button on the adapter that you can press. If you can talk about an operation, it can be done through the Companion app.

Where service is the wrong word here. Because this app is used only for settings or to update firmware. In other words, settings that you make once and are not required for active use. After all, the adapter only ensures a wireless connection between the vehicle and the smartphone. The Android Auto interface then operates in a classic way on the vehicle’s touchscreen.

The following settings can be made with the companion app:

  • usb-modus
  • withdrawal
  • wifi option
  • on off
  • wlan-timeout
  • VAG Crash-Fix
  • change dpi
  • tap-limit
  • media sync
  • tts-sync
  • automatic video focus
  • dongle mode
  • developer mode
  • reset to factory settings
  • firmware update
  • paired smartphone
  • help and support

Conclusion on the AA Wireless Android Auto Adapter

For us, the AA Wireless Adapter is currently the best adapter for wirelessly connecting your smartphone to the vehicle’s display. There are a few other manufacturers that offer similar hardware, but this adapter works best and most reliably. This adapter actually started as an Indiegogo campaign and in the meantime it has gathered so many fans that it has now set up its shop.

At the time of this article, the delivery time is seven days due to high demand. We are particularly impressed by the small dimensions, quick installation and quick response as long as the adapter is not connected to the smartphone. It is often enough to enter the vehicle and the adapter is already connected as soon as you start the engine. We can recommend this adapter to anyone who bothers to connect their smartphone to the vehicle with a cable every time. The smartphone can live in your pocket or in a tray and you still have the full range of Android Auto functions.

price and availability

The AA Wireless Adapter is available for a price of €83.00 per piece at the time of this article. There is currently a separate website for selling adapters. However, customers in Germany are currently being redirected to the Indiegogo website. However, this is not a problem, as you can also order the adapter here without any problems. Simply create a free account on Indiegogo and order the adapter.

When we ordered the adapter, it was delivered within a week. Since the developer of this adapter is based in the Netherlands, the package is not far from Germany.

Unless the shop can be accessed in Germany, you currently need to go through the Indiegogo website. The order itself is as fast as you know it from the usual online shops. If the adapter finds its way into Amazon or other stores, we’ll definitely be adding articles at this point.

Meta releases powerful dialog AI

Blenderbot 3: Meta releases powerful dialog AI

Image: Goal

Der Artikel kann nur mit aktiviertem JavaScript dargestellt werden. Bitte aktiviere JavaScript in deinem Browser und lade die Seite neu.

The dialog-optimized AI Blenderbot 3 can research information on the Internet and integrate it into conversations. Meta publishes a web demo and models of the system to collaboratively improve its security.

Blenderbot 3 is Meta’s version of Google’s Lamda, the AI chat system that recently successfully faked consciousness to a Google engineer. Blenderbot has been in the works since around 2020, with the goal of developing a chatbot with personality, empathy, and extensive knowledge of the world.

The last major update dates back to 2021, when Meta added to Blenderbot 2 the ability to research information on the Internet from reliable sources to reduce its susceptibility to nonsensical statements. Meta also integrated a long-term memory that allows the bot to store relevant information about its answers or talking partners.

Blenderbot 3 is based on Meta’s open-source language model

According to Meta, Blenderbot 3 scores 31 percent better dialog ratings than its predecessor in initial tests with human counterparts. The human testers rated Blenderbot 3 as twice as knowledgeable compared to the second version. In addition, the system is said to be factually incorrect in 47 percent fewer cases.

Blenderbot 3 in action. | Video: Goal

This progress is especially due to the upgrade of the language model: Blenderbot 3 is based on the 175 billion parameter model of Meta’s open-source language transformer OPT and is, according to Meta, about 58 times larger than Blenderbot 2.

Compared to GPT-3, Blenderbot gives more up-to-date answers 82 percent of the time and more specific answers 76 percent of the time, according to Meta. However, Blenderbot’s training data is more up-to-date than GPT-3’s.

Open-source approach for greater security

With the release of the open source model and a web demo, Meta’s primary goal is to drive data collection, discourse about, and advancement of secure conversational AI.

“Our research goal is to collect and release conversational feedback data that we and the broader AI research community can leverage over time to eventually find new ways for conversational AI systems to optimize both safety and engagingness for everyone who uses them,” Meta writes.

logo

Initial analysis of the web demo showed that 0.16 percent of Blenderbot 3 responses were flagged as unfriendly or inappropriate. The “ideal” 0 percent would likely require user-level customization, Meta’s research team suspects. It would be a difficult balance between security and willingness to engage in dialogue – the bot might try to change the subject on sensitive topics, for example.

Long-term goal: Language as the main interface for computers and useful virtual assistants

Meta refers to Blenderbot 3 as a “significant advance” over chatbots currently available to the public. However, the system is “certainly not at a human level” and occasionally gives incorrect, inconsistent, off-topic, or otherwise unsatisfactory answers, the researchers said.

Through interactions with the demo, Meta hopes to continue to improve the model and provide updated model snapshots to the AI community. The team’s goal is to one day “AI-powered computers that everyone can chat with in genuinely helpful and interesting ways.”

Head here for the Blenderbot 3 web demo, which is currently only available from the US The code, datasets, and smaller models are freely available from Parlai.

The most powerful 175-billion model, as with OPT, is only available to select individuals and institutions from the research community upon request.

Two MultiVersus Characters Are Already Banned At Evo Tournament

Due to some strict Evo rules, The Iron Giant, LeBron James, and a new MultiVersus stage are banned from this year’s professional gaming tournament.

One of the world’s largest professional gaming tournaments, Evolution 2022 (aka Evolution Championship Series), welcomes Warner Bros. MultiVersus, but not without banning two popular characters and a fan-favorite stage. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and leadership shift, the popular annual fighting game tournament has been postponed and has seen some changes over the last couple of years. However, after Sony Interactive Entertainment officially purchased the esports event early last year, talented gamers worldwide are ready to battle in fighting game contests.

Professional gamers worldwide train countless hours with competitive fighting games in the hopes of winning some serious money at the annual Evo tournaments. Games featured at Evo 2022 like dragon ball fighter z, Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate, Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition, and others require players to pay a small fee that goes into a prize pool. This allows high-performing players to win a more significant percentage of the pot. Previous winners have earned up to thirty thousand dollars in prize money. However, this year’s newest fighting game, MultiVersusmade a monumental entrance at this year’s tournament with a $100,000 prize pool, but not without banning some of the game’s newest content.

Official Evo 2022 rules for MultiVersus are banning any characters or maps released for the game after its open beta release, which includes The Iron Giant, LeBron James, and the newest Rick and Morty-themed Cromulons stage. As reported by game rantthe news undoubtedly disappoints talented players who are fans of the most recent MultiVersus content. The two characters and new stage will presumably be playable at next year’s tournament. Still, any new characters or levels released close to an Evo event are not allowed. This rule is in place so players and developers can iron out any performance or unbalanced issues with new content before thousands of dollars worth of prize money is at stake.

LeBron James And Iron Giant’s Multiversus Future

MultiVersus Lebron Iron Giant Banned Evo 2022 Tournament

Since MultiVersus launched its open beta on July 19th, players are discovering which characters from the game’s current roster of 17 fighters require adjustments. Professional esport tournaments have made a habit of banning over-powered characters. New content, including the new playable fighter Morty from Adult Swim’s hit animated series Rick and Mortywas recently delayed so MultiVersus‘ developers could work on balancing the game and improving the game’s questionable hitboxes.

With gaming becoming a much more mainstream hobby every year, professional esport events will continue to grow in both popularity and in how much players will be able to earn. The famous multiplayer fighter Super Smash Bros Ultimate was surprisingly absent from Evo 2022, and MultiVersus seems determined to take its spot. If developers can provide new and exciting content for players and keep the game balanced, MultiVersus might be able to earn a long-term place in subsequent fighting game tournaments.

Fitbit’s ending support for PC music file transfers

If you’re the owner of a Fitbit Versa, Versa 2, or Ionic, you’ll soon no longer be able to transfer music from your computer to your Fitbit device. In a support page spotted by 9to5GoogleFitbit says it’s discontinuing its Fitbit Connect app, leaving you with only two ways to download music to your device: a paid subscription to either Pandora or Deezer.

Fitbit Connect is a companion app for Mac and Windows computers that lets you sync fitness data between devices and transfer music to legacy Fitbit devices. Fitbit has slowly been phasing out the software in favor of its mobile app, as it no longer recommends that users download it on its setup page.

But without access to Connect, there’s no way to download music to your Fitbit without a paid subscription to either Pandora or Deezer. On its support page, Fitbit says “you may be eligible for a 90-day trial” of either service, which will run you $9.99 / month for Deezer Premium or $4.99 / month for Pandora Plus once the trial’s over.

This change doesn’t affect newer Fitbit models, however, as they don’t come with the option to transfer files between your PC and Fitbit device (devices like the Versa 3 and Sense already only let you download music through Deezer or Pandora). If you own an older Fitbit that has the ability to store music, you’ll still get access to the music files you have on your Fitbit device right now — you just won’t be able to download any additional songs without Pandora or Deezer past the October deadline.

Many users use their Fitbit devices to control the music they’re playing on their smartphone, whether they’re streaming music through Spotify or listening to songs already downloaded on their phone. But still, having access to local music files can come in handy if you’re listening to music offline or want to use your Fitbit without your smartphone.

While Fitbit doesn’t explain why it’s getting rid of Fitbit Connect, it’s possible that there just isn’t enough demand to keep the service up and running. Google (Fitbit’s parent company) didn’t immediately respond to TheVerge‘s request for comment.

10 JRPGs to play in August 2022

JRPGs are beloved around the world for their challenging gameplay, rich stories, and unforgettable worlds. It’s a genre that produces amazing video games every year, but the real question is, what JRPGs should fans look to play in August 2022?

As expected, there are thousands to choose from across both modern and retro consoles, as well as PCs. With that in mind, this list is the opinion of a writer with a deep love for JRPGs. Obviously, these picks can vary from player to player, depending on what they are already playing and what they prefer in their games.

What JRPGs should fans look to play in August 2022

Some readers may notice that there are repeats from the previous month’s list of JRPGs and that’s because those games are still excellent and worth a replay nonetheless. Fortunately, there are plenty of amazing games for players to enjoy in the month of August 2022.

While many of these games are classics from previous consoles, they are all readily accessible on more modern platforms, making them easier to acquire without spending a fortune.

10 JRPGs worth replaying

  • Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade
  • Person 4 Golden
  • Dragon Quest 3
  • Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night
  • final fantasy x
  • Yakuza: Like a Dragon
  • Star Ocean First Departure R
  • chrono trigger
  • Tales of Vesperia
  • Yakuza 0

10) Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade

youtube-cover

Now that Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is fully available on the PlayStation Plus system, it’s a great time to pick it up if fans haven’t already done so in July. It’s the definitive way to play the game, and while it only covers the time spent in Midgar, it’s still a memorable adventure.

Furthermore, the characters from the initial Squaresoft game have more time on screen and have been given more depth and personality. Though the action RPG gameplay was a major adjustment, fans have really taken to it.

With difficult optional encounters and the fun Yuffie DLC, it’s a great time to play this title, making it one of the JRPGs to revisit this month.

9) Final FantasyX

youtube-cover

Though the PlayStation 2 version of Final Fantasy X is heralded as one of the greatest JRPGs of all time, the HD Remake is much easier to pick up and play. It comes with a number of quality-of-life improvements, apart from the enhanced visuals and remastered score.

The innovative turn-based combat returns in Final Fantasy X, and also has the added benefit/challenge of the Expert Sphere Grid. It completely reshapes the sphere grid, allowing players to try various different approaches to the game. On top of that, it also includes FFX-2, making it a two-for-one in JRPGs.

8) Person 4 Golden

youtube-cover

While Persona 5 is one of the best games in the entire franchise, one should never underestimate the power of a good whodunit. Persona 4 Golden is a murder mystery and is available on PC, as well as classic PlayStation consoles.

When it comes to JRPGs, this title is a masterclass in telling tragic stories, even in comparison to other Persona titles. The turn-based combat is crisp, and it is strangely satisfying to assemble a crew of powerful demons to draw power from. All in all, it is a game that genuinely delivers on every level.

7) Dragon Quest 3

youtube-cover

As the godfather of JRPGs, Dragon Quest 1 first came to North America with the name ‘Dragon Warrior’ in August 1989. With that in mind, why not play one of the greatest Dragon Quest games of all time, DQ3? It’s available on mobile devices as well as the Nintendo Switch, and brings a ton of challenges and sharp gameplay with it.

The port has updated graphics and allows players to experience a classic NES RPG anywhere they go. Players control the son of the legendary Ortega and must take up after their father to seal away an evil force once and for all.

Players have great customization options in picking whatever kind of party they want, from Wizards and Soldiers, to Goof-offs and Merchants. It’s an amazing game and still holds up decades later.

6) Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night

youtube-cover

Though not traditional in terms of JRPGs, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is a Metroidvania/Action RPG from the creator of Castlevania. Legendary producer Koji Igarashi (IGA) developed the game himself and crafted a ‘Metroidvania’ that is absolutely worth exploring.

The visuals are sharp and dark, and are paired with a fantastic musical score. Players explore a vast castle akin to Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, defeating enemies to collect Shards that grant a variety of useful demon powers. It also comes with several built-in optional modes and characters, such as the Randomizer mode.

5) Yakuza: Like a Dragon

youtube-cover

Yakuza: Like a Dragon is still worth a play, as it is considered one of the greatest games in the entire Yakuza catalog. As Ichiban Kasuga’s first outing as the main protagonist, the shift to a turn-based RPG was one that was initially controversial. That said, it was received positively by critics and fans alike.

Not even counting the main story, it has tons of side quests to take on, mini-games to play, and one of the better collections of karaoke songs to play when it comes to Yakuza.

4) Star Ocean: First Departure R

youtube-cover

Interestingly, Star Ocean 1 is a game so good that it has been remade multiple times. Though it can be found on the PSP, alongside a remake of Star Ocean 2, Star Ocean: First Departure R was later ported to the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

It’s a game that many JRPG players may have missed out on, and has become more accessible than ever. It tells a classic story that blends futuristic technology with fantasy characters and races, with excellent action-based combat.

Star Ocean is a classic franchise, and it’s a great time to take a trip back in time to where it all began.

3)Chrono Trigger

youtube-cover

It’s not a controversial statement to say that Chrono Trigger is one of the greatest JRPGs of all time. The classic Squaresoft RPG from the ‘Dream Team’ (consisting of legends Akira Toriyama, Hironobu Sakaguchi, and Yuji Horii) is truly an exceptional game. Though it’s not a cheap game to buy for the SNES, it’s also available on the Nintendo DS and more recently, mobile and Steam releases.

Though the Steam release did not start off as an enjoyable playthrough, it was updated and fixed, making it worth a try here in August 2022. With 10+ endings, a beautiful score, and top-notch gameplay, there’s never a bad time to play Chrono Trigger.

2) Tales of Vesperia

youtube-cover

For this writer’s money, the best game in the Tales franchise, Tales of Vesperia is a must-play. Originally released in the United States on the Xbox 360, it was remastered and given a Definitive Edition on more modern consoles.

The story of these unlikely heroes coming together to form the Brave Vesperia guild and trying to save the world is a unique one in the Tales franchise, without a doubt. It also has one of the best JRPG characters ever, in the very good dog Repede.

1) Yakuza 0

youtube-cover

While the latest Yakuza game is the beginning of Kasuga Ichiban’s career as the main protagonist, Yakuza 0 is the beginning of Kiryu Kazuma’s. A prologue‍ to the Yakuza franchise, the title is set in the late 1980s. It features some of the best music tracks, side quests, and antagonists in the Yakuza franchise as a whole.

It displays a fantastic view of late 80s Japan, during the economic boom that the country experienced at the time. It also gave players the first chance to really experience Goro Majima’s story, and see what shaped him into the man he would become.

There will never be a shortage of exceptional JRPGs to play. For the month of August 2022, this is just one writer’s selection of some games that are sure to not disappoint, no matter how many times they are played.

‘GoldenEye 007’ fans are creating a full game mod based on ‘The Spy Who Loved Me’

There’s a mod in the works for Nintendo 64 classic golden eye 007 that turns another James Bond film into a full game. Fans are building a playable version of The Spy Who Loved MeRoger Moore’s third, and some would argue best, Bond movie.

As spotted by YouTuber Graslu00 posted a playthrough video showing 11 levels of The Spy Who Loved Me 64. The mod depicts the key events and locations of the film, taking Bond from the Alps to the pyramids of Egypt and a supertanker in the Atlantic Ocean. It includes Moore’s likeness, as well as characters such as Anya Amasova (aka Agent XXX) and villain Karl Stromberg. It’s possible to run the mod on an emulator in 4K at 60 frames per second, though you can also play it on an N64 console.

It’s a work in progress, as Graslu00 notes. The build of The Spy Who Loved Me 64 that’s available is a demo of the first three levels with a peek at a planned four-player multiplayer mode. It looks like there’s quite a way for fans working on the game to go, though. The stage select screen shows 20 levels including, curiously, Bond’s childhood home of Skyfall — that seems to be one of the multiplayer maps.

Meanwhile, there’s an official James Bond title in the works. It emerged in late 2020 that Hitman studio IO Interactive is developing a game that delves into the superspy’s origins. It’s expected to be the first official Bond game since 2012’s 007 Legends.

Google’s Quoted Searches Will Now Appear In Bold So Users Can See The Most Relevant Results / Digital Information World

There’s nothing more worrisome on the web than not being able to find exactly what you’ve searched for. And to help with issues circulating around that very theme, Google is launching a new feature.

The search engine giant unveiled how its quoted searches would soon be arising in bold. The move is designed to help users witness their most relevant searches first, before getting lost in the wide amount of information scattered across their screens.

The new tweak to the tech giant’s quote searches is sure to add a great degree of effectiveness when searching for a certain result.

But for now, it’s going to be limited to searches on desktops only, although the firm does plan on expanding the initiative further to mobile devices soon.

Hence, the next time users end up making a quoted search on their PC, the term questioned would be highlighted in bold for greater prominence when it arrives in the search results pages.

You can specifically find the bold text in the snippets preview version of the page on Google that the company would portray under every search result.

The company announced the decision via its blog post that was published yesterday. Here, Google elaborated on how it wished to make things simpler for users’ search queries, and for that, they’re bolding their queried searches.

The change will take place after users press on the link and go to visit that particular content in question.

In case you might not be aware, quoted searches are for those occasions when a user wants a particular search result to include a specific term, sentence, or even a phrase. To put it simply, many see it as a great tool that really narrows down your searches when a regular Google search fails to find results that users might be in search of.

In the past, Google prevented itself from highlighting text observed in certain quoted searches. And that was related to the fact that the quoted text could be found in other parts of the page. Hence, it wouldn’t end up producing the most helpful reviews or little snippets of where the information could be found.

Developers agreed and felt that it would just affect the entire readability factor as irrelevant snippets would pop up showing the term in different areas of any web page.

On that note, Google worked hard and finally found a solution, keeping in mind input from its loyal users.

He spoke about all the feedback that he had received regarding its quoted searches. People wanted to see where their quoted terms popped up across a page as it added more value and ease to their search.

This was much more user-friendly and had a great readability factor when compared to a simple summary of what the page was all about.

Now we hope users don’t expect every single term mentioned in their query or quote to be bold on the web page because that’s very difficult.

Google adds that it would also be searched for the highlighted term in the description text, ALT area for text, and the Meta too.

Hence, if you like the sound of that, go ahead and try it out on your desktop computers today.
