Abbie Chatfield trolled by followers of ‘scariest man on the internet’ Andrew Tate

Abbie Chatfield has revealed she’s been trolled by followers of the Youtube star dubbed “the scariest man on the internet”.

The reality-star-turned-TV host has revealed her DMs have been lit up by Andrew Tate acolytes aged in their early teens.

In the past couple of months Tate, 35, has become a viral sensation and lightning rod for disaffected young men, with his vile, misogynistic opinions: including that women are property and should accept blame if they are raped.

The British American former kickboxer says he only dates women half his age so he can leave an imprint and is reportedly under investigation for human trafficking and rape allegations in Romania, where he lives.

It’s understood he is googled more than Donald Trump and Kim Kardashian.

Chatfield, who is an outspoken feminist, said she had tried to avoid commenting on Tate so as not to give him “oxygen” in the media.

“I’ve had a really hard time with Andrew Tate because I exist in the realm of feminism and calling out misogyny, my podcast, my radio show I’ve been asked millions of times (to talk about him),” she revealed on The Project.

“But I do feel like I really want to ignore him. I want to try to suffocate him of any oxygen in media because the more I engage with his content, even to research for a radio segment, if I look at his TikToks or if he is tagged in a TikTok and I look at it too long that feeds the algorithm, that spreads out more to my followers and to the followers that are already engaging in that content. . . (but) it is getting a bit too big to ignore now.”

She said she was sure her listeners agreed that “yes, he’s disgusting, he’s awful, let’s move on”.

Chatfield said she had posted one Instagram story to her followers saying she didn’t want to comment on Tate, but that provoked a disturbing response from his fans.

“I’m getting DMs from early teen boys saying ‘I hope Andrew Tate destroys you’ or things along that line,” she said.

“I also get comments calling me Abbie Tate and comments on TikTok especially — that’s where it is really, really rife.”

Channel 10’s breakfast show sets new record for worst rating program ever as not one viewer in Perth watches

Channel Ten’s morning news broadcast has hit a new world record – but the milestone is nothing to be celebrated.

It has been revealed that the 30-minute breakfast program 10 News First: Breakfast, hosted by Lachlan Kennedy and Natasha Exelby, reached an all-time low last Wednesday when not even one viewer in Perth tuned in.

According to official TV ratings numbers provided by research firm OzTAM, last Wednesday morning, zero people in the city of 2.1 million people watched the show.

An OzTAM spokesperson told The Australian the dire result could be attributed to the use of “small underlying viewing samples” and Network 10 has remained optimistic.

“10 News First: Breakfast edition is maintaining its audience and increasing engagement as viewers become more familiar with the timeslot,” a spokesperson told the outlet.

The 8am program launched last month, taking over the first half hour of Studio 10, but it has been struggling to find its feet against its competitors.

The Seven Network’s Sunrise has once again taken the crown as Australia’s top breakfast show in 2022, with an unbeatable lead over its rivals.

For the 19th year in a row, Sunrise, hosted by David Koch and Natalie Barr, is number one in its timeslot and has an average national daily audience of 397,000 viewers, 31 per cent bigger than its nearest competitor.

Seven Network Director of Morning Television, Sarah Stinson, said: “We are proud that more than 1.01 million people start with Sunrise every morning across Australia, and we never take it for granted.

“As the world bounces back from the past few years, Australians continue to turn to Kochie, Nat and the team for breaking news, a sense of community and the light and laughs we all need to start the day feeling great and well informed.”

It’s a different story for 10 News First: Breakfast, whose first five days on air drew in an average of 17,000 viewers across the five major cities, but this dropped to just 15,000 a day in week two.

The show delivered the lowest ever ratings in Australian TV history on its second day, after just 44 viewers tuned in from Sydney and 43 in Perth, until last week’s abysmal ratings were released.

Despite the blow, the network has repeatedly denied rumours. Studio 10 could be on the chopping block.

It’s just the latest in a series of crushing blows for Network 10.

7NEWS to pay tribute to music legend Olivia Newton-John with Sunday night Spotlight special

Australia has fallen back in love with Olivia Newton-John’s music following the 73-year-old’s shock death on Tuesday.

The four-time Grammy award winner has re-entered the ARIA Charts with some of her most iconic hits.

Newton-John’s album Hopelessly Devoted: The Hits, which was released in 2018, has skyrocketed up the charts to the top spot of the Australian albums, and fifth for overall albums.

In the singles chart, she takes up three spots in the top 20 Australian Singles including two of her Grease songs, Hopelessly Devoted To You and You’re The One That I Want, as well as Xanadu.

Comments made by her daughter Chloe Lattanzi, left, back in 2018 have also come to light. The two women shared a special bond that only grew stronger through the years.

“We both struggled — me with addiction, anxiety and anorexia, and Mum with feeling helpless during my darkest hours,” Lattanzi wrote in a column for Woman’s Day in 2018.

“I hated that my life was broadcast all over the world. It was horrifying to me. For my mum, it was also a terribly hard time. She felt powerless and didn’t know what to do.

“We were just talking about it and she said to me, ‘I did everything I could. I feel you to every specialist, every person I thought might be able to help’. I told her, ‘You know mum, all I really needed was you’.”

On Sunday night, Channel Seven will air a special 7NEWS Spotlight episode, Olivia — A Magical Life, in tribute to the legend.

A never-before-seen interview will give a rare glimpse into the musician’s private world with her husband John Easterling.

The sole surviving Bee Gees member Barry Gibb, UK music veteran Cliff Richard and Delta Goodrem will also share intimate and heartfelt memories of Newton-John.

With a magical musical tribute from the female singers she inspired including Wendy Matthews, Dami Im, Katie Noonan and Samantha Jade, the trio will put on an unforgettable performance of one of her biggest hits.

Newton-John passed away surrounded by her friends and family on her California ranch after a long battle with cancer.

Larry Emdur walks off in hysterics live on-air – leaving co-host Kylie Gillies confused

Larry Emdur has had a serious case of the giggles, laughing so hard that he had to momentarily abandon a segment on Friday’s The Morning Show.

The hilarity began when the normally unflappable Larry – widely known for his composure and immaculate articulation – tried to pronounce a dinosaur name.

But his attempt at “diplodocus” came out completely wrong, sounding more like “dipo-lacko-ducko-dos”.

After his failed try at the word, co-host Kylie Gillies corrected him.

Larry then tried to continue with the script – but became totally immersed in a giggling fit.

Composing himself just long enough to be able to speak again, he protested that the way he had pronounced “diplodocus” was the way that “everyone says it”.

“It’s not just me,” he insisted.

The laughter continued, with Larry doubling over as he giggled, before waving his hand about, as if telling the cameras to stop rolling on him.

A still-incapacitated Larry then began shaking his head, before momentarily walking off camera.

Somewhat confused, Kylie asked him: “Did I say something wrong? No what, tell me”, before inviting Larry back into camera view.

Larry grabbed his glasses and tried to re-read his script, as Kylie asked, “What, diplodocus?… I don’t get it.”

Joking, Larry then said, “Please, (you) read the words.”

‘I don’t understand’

Kylie tried to continue with the segment, but ‘laughing Larry’ was not done.

Wanting to make his point, he said that “All I was saying was that people say that”, referring to his unique pronunciation of “diplodocus”.

“But I don’t know if that’s the word, exactly,” he said.

Kylie looked over to the producers off-camera, laughing, before telling her co-host “I don’t understand”.

Larry then asked Kylie how she pronounced “diplodocus”, prompting her to gently sledge him.

“No, no, no,” she joked, “You didn’t know the word (diplodocus) and you made it up (the pronunciation).”

Larry eventually managed to snap back into focus and continue with the segment.

His uncontrolled laughing fit was a rare departure from his normal on-screen composition.

Away from The Morning Show, Larry is also known for his laser-sharp focus and crisp diction as host of The Chase Australia.

Armie Hammer documentary to explore his scandal-plagued sex life and cannibal claims

Armie Hammer and his scandal-plagued sex life is set to be the subject of a new three-part documentary series.

House of Hammer, which will air on Discovery Plus next month, includes testimony from two alleged victims of his extreme sexual fetishes.

The actor checked into rehab in May 2021 for substance and sex issues after he was accused of rape and battery by a 24-year-old woman, allegations he strongly denies.

A text — apparently from Hammer to one of his alleged victims — read: “I am 100 per cent a cannibal. I want to eat you.”

Courtney Vucekovich, one of a pair of women who claim the 35-year-old actor assaulted her, detailed the abuse she allegedly endured at his hands, saying that things started fantastically “but then things change” as he “pushes your boundaries a little bit at a time”.

She detailed how the mention of cannibalism meant she spent ages “freaking out” and it was the only thing Hammer “wanted to ever talk about”.

Vucekovich also claims she got a message from him that said: “I’m going to bite the f*** out of you” and that he texted photos of rope to her.

Of the rope, she said: “The ropes were around your neck, your wrist, your ankles, and you’re completely immobilized. I was closing my eyes until it ended.”

Julia Morrison, the second accuser featured in the documentary, claims she received a text from Hammer that read: “I have a fantasy about having someone prove their love and devotion and tying them up in a public place at night and making their body free use and seeing if they will f*** strangers for me”.

Morrison says that she also got a voice note from the Rebecca star, saying: “My bet was going to involve showing into her place and completely tying you up and incapacitating you and then being able to do whatever I wanted to every single hole in your body until I was done with you”.

In the three-part series, the women share a string of texts — which they assert came from Hammer, who according to reports works as a timeshare dealer in the Cayman Islands — detailing his apparent intentions.

One reads: “You are mine! Do you hear me? I own you now. I’ll own you forever”.

And, in another: “I decide when you eat, when you sleep. When you f***.”

The scandal, which was prompted by texts leaked in January 2021, has been labeled “bulls***” by the act, who has daughter Harper, seven, and son Ford, five, with his ex Elizabeth Chambers. He has since been fired from many projects in Hollywood.

MKR judge Nigella Lawson stuns fans as her real age is revealed

The addition of British home cooking queen Nigella Lawson to MKR’s judging team has been a huge hit, with viewers praising her grace, class, beauty and cooking insights.

But they are also blown away by her age, with many fans revealing they thought she was about 20 years younger than she actually is.

Lawson turned 62 in January this year – a fact that some fans are having trouble understanding.

“Can someone explain to me how Nigella Lawson can look so stunning ALL THE TIME?” one MKR viewer wrote on Twitter.

“She (is) 62yo and looks 42.

“What kind of witchcraft is she performing!”

“Gosh I didn’t know her age she’s a stunning human,” one follower answered.

“She literally has looked the same for 20yrs!

“Look at her neck, not a single wrinkle – I’m telling you, forget what ppl tell you, endulge (sic) in butter and cream and sweets, and chocolate and lush velvety rich sauces – and live and look like #QueenNigella! ”

“If I don’t age like Nigella Lawson, I don’t want to get old at all,” another observed.

Another simply wrote: “Nigella Lawson is 62. I refuse to accept this.”

Lawson said her trick to looking youthful was staying out of the sun – and eating “lots of fats.”

“I think what ages a face most is disappointment and a lack of enjoyment,” she once said.

“So I try to do what I love.”

Lawson has been famous for a lot longer than many people realize, however.

She shot to fame in the 1990s with her first cookbook and her TV career began in 1999 with the show Nigella Bites.

She’s since amassed a legion of fans who love the pleasure she takes in cooking and eating food.

“Not only is she a bona fide food-lover & relatable to all us home cooks but it’s her personable nature, positive energy, insightfulness & unique way with words that makes her so endearing,” one MKR viewer wrote on Twitter.

“Oh Nigella just brings so much warmth to this new season of MKR!” another noted.

Others have noted the nice rapport between Lawson and long-term judge Manu Feildel.

Speaking to 7Entertainment, Feildel said he was “thrilled” to be working with Lawson, whom he described as a “lovely” person.

Feildel said while he was a trained chef and Lawson a home cook, they both felt the same way about what made a great meal.

“We’re pretty much on the same page when it comes to that, actually,” he said.

“It doesn’t matter if you’re a home cook or if you’re a chef – I think if you love food, you know what’s right and what’s wrong.

“I might know a bit more about technical ways of cooking something, but at the end of the day, the judging is pretty much about putting a fork of food in your mouth and you either like it or you don’t.

“It’s that simple.”

MKR continues on Channel 7 and 7plus Monday to Wednesday nights at 7.30pm.

UK Good Morning Britain host Richard Madeley slammed for ‘creepy’ Olivia Newton-John comment after her death

A UK breakfast TV host has been slammed by viewers after making “creepy” comments about singer Olivia Newton-John just hours after news of her death broke.

Good Morning Britain host Richard Madeley paid tribute to the 73-year-old Grease star but copped a lashing from Brits over his choice of anecdote.

Madeley referenced an iconic 1970s modeling picture of Newton-John that had been shared in countless tributes following her death, including by her Grease co-star John Travolta.

“I wish I’d met her, I wish I’d interviewed her. It never happened, I always regretted it actually as years went by,” Madeley said.

“That publicity picture… the one of her in the denim shirt. It was a very famous poster of her by her in the 1970s. ”

And he went on to confess many of his former colleagues had a schoolboy crush on the star.

“That poster was on the wall of a radio station I used to work in back in the 70s and I’m not exaggerating, it basically stopped traffic in the corridor,” he said.

“It was up there for months! The guys would just stop and look at it.”

Insulting, inappropriate and very, very creepy.

Viewers were less than impressed by his comments, which came as many Brits learned the news of Newton-John’s death, following a cancer battle, aged 73.

“Richard Madeley’s weird angle on the loss of Olivia Newton-John today on (Good Morning Britain) was uncomfortable to watch,” one Twitter user wrote.

“Just kept on the line of how attractive she was & if she acknowledged how beautiful she was & how her colleagues would stare at her poster.”

One viewer described the comments as: “Insulting, inappropriate and very, very creepy.”

Some even called for Madeley to lose his job over the remarks.

“This creep needs to be fired,” one furious viewer wrote.

TV veteran Madeley, who is known for his cringeworthy live TV moments, is widely thought to have been the inspiration for comedian Steve Coogan’s show Alan Partridge.

Coogan has previously admitted Partridge’s character is similar to the host.

Last week, Madeley was in viewers’ crosshairs again for an awkward comment about England Lionesses soccer player Chloe Kelly.

While discussing her team’s Euro 2022 win, Madeley got a little too familiar with the player, referring to her as “Coco”, admitting he uses the same nickname for his daughter, who is also named Chloe.
