Justin Sylvester nudges Today show co-host colleague live on-air

Viewers have hit out at a truly awkward segment which unfolded on US breakfast program, Today.

In the cringe-worthy clip, TV presenter Justin Sylvester is seen attempting to keep his co-host Jenna Bush Hager at arms’ length after she appeared to get a little too close for comfort.

During a cooking segment, Sylvester, 35, was receiving instructions for making chicken when Bush Hager, 40, patted his back and put one arm around his shoulders.

As Sylvester leaned out of the way, Bush Hager didn’t budge – so he proceeded to use one arm to push her away.

Bush Hager laughed at the diss, only to step back just as close to him.

when the Sisters First author continued to touch Sylvester’s back despite his arm still being held aloft between them, he glanced up, smiled and pushed her out of the way once more.

Bush Hager, backing up, raised her eyebrows at the cameras.

NBC viewers took to Instagram to bash her behaviour, with one calling Bush Hager’s actions “not cool at all” and advising her to “keep her hands to herself” from now on.

“He literally defined his personal space and she forced herself into it,” one social media user wrote of the awkward interaction.

Another added, “He was clearly uncomfortable and kept trying to push her off politely.”

Sylvester, who is a regular contributor to the Today show, often appearing alongside Bush Hager and Hoda Kotb, clarified in an Instagram Story video that his co-star was not “invading” his space.

“That’s not actually the truth,” Sylvester explained, calling Bush Hager the “nicest” person.

“What we were doing was we were both flirting. Well, I was flirting with the chef because he was cute, and I was pushing her out of the way so I could have a one-on-one moment with the chef.”

AFL: ‘Disgusting’: Melbourne Demons star Christian Petracca slams racist targeting of Kysaiah Pickett

Christian Petracca has slammed the racial targeting of Melbourne teammate Kysaiah Pickett on social media as “disgusting” as the AFL community rallies around him.

Third-year forward Pickett, known as ‘Kozzy’, kicked the match-winning goal in thrilling fashion for the Demons with 11 seconds left to pinch victory from Carlton on Saturday night.

The brilliant goal sparked wild celebrations from Melbourne and left a series of stony-faced Blues defenders to rue a wasted opportunity to lock in their finals berth.

But Pickett’s exhilarating moment was soured when an Instagram user racially vilified him, marking the second time in as many seasons the young Demon has been abused on social media.

Coach Simon Goodwin revealed in August last year that Pickett was “visibly distressed” after the previous occasion, with retired AFL champion Eddie Betts calling for clubs to unite to stamp out racism.

Melbourne is working with the AFL’s integrity department to try to identify the social media user responsible for the comments.

Petracca said people believed there were no consequences for their social media actions and could “hide behind their phone and write what they want”.

“It is absolutely disgusting,” the 2021 Norm Smith medalist told KIIS 101.1’s Jase and Lauren on Monday.

“It is just so unfair for a player who is an absolute freak. He is 21 years old, he is an Indigenous player.

“Indigenous players bring so much to the game – so much entertainment, flair, excitement and passion and they put bums on seats.

“To do that (racially vilify him) is just really frustrating, because … as much as clubs can put these statements out, it is so hard to control, because these days they are just keyboard warriors.”

Petracca said the long-term solution to this behavior was greater education.

“The AFL and all the clubs are really quick to respond to all that stuff – it’s just Instagram, and people make fake accounts,” he said.

“They are just trolls, it’s really disgusting and they don’t understand the human side of it.

“(We saw what happened) last year with the Eddie Betts stuff, and it’s all about education around footy clubs and showing us the history of Indigenous lands and what they’ve gone through.”

The Demons issued a statement on Sunday morning condemning the social media comments.

“Last night a Melbourne player was again subjected to racism on social media,” the statement read.

“This sort of behavior is abhorrent and needs to stop. It is saddening, angering and unacceptable that this behavior continues to occur.

“It is important that we, as a football community, call this behavior out and hold these individuals to account.”

On the first night she purchased $215.11 worth of products but spent just $10.92, with the haul including chicken thighs, two lots of prosciutto wrapped chicken, Nature’s Kitchen spaghetti bolognaise, lamb chops and sweet treats.

The woman went back the next day and spent $3.95 on $75.60 worth of groceries.

This haul included bread, red velvet cupcakes and plant-based burger patties.

“After last night I wanted to see if I could back it up! Seems our store has decided 8pm is the time to start marking down,” she said.

“Only stayed for bakery and meat, there was three of us getting meat so I just took the sausages and let the others go but there was about 10 different items. Had to leave after meat but they seem to do bakery, then meat, (before marking down) the dairy fridges and around in a circle.”

Social media users were keen to share their own experiences.

“That’s the kind of price I see too in my Adelaide stores, even just before shop shuts,” one social media user said.

Another added: “I’m jealous as I never get goodies like this but I’m also super happy for you!”

A Coles spokesperson said items are regularly discounted to avoid waste.

“We know our customers love good value so when a product is near it’s Best Before date we often mark it down so it can be enjoyed for a cheaper price, instead of being wasted,” the spokesperson told news.com.au.

“Markdowns do not uniformly take place at the same time across all stores.

“There are many things that can impact when this takes place including stock on hand, delivery schedules and team member rostering.”

K-Pop fans are excited over a new coffee range inspired by boy band BTS that has landed in Coles for half price.

One eagle-eyed shopper took to TikTok to share that they had spotted the range at their local supermarket in Melbourne last week.

A clip posted to TikTok that showed the two different beverage options stirred excitement among fans, with many claiming they would rush to the supermarket.

“Going to cabbages asap,” one social media user said.

A third said: “Only time I’ll ever drink coffee.”

Another added: “OMG we need to get down to Coles right now.”

There are two beverages in the range – a ready-to-drink Vanilla Latte and a delicious cold brew Americano coffee in specially designed bottles featuring the band.

Kelis accuses Beyoncé of ‘theft’ for sampling her song on Renaissance

Kelis accused Beyoncé of “theft” after Queen Bey sampled her hit song Milkshake on her new album.

Kelis singer, 42, took to Instagram to share her grievances on Friday, the day of Beyoncé’s Renaissance album release, reports the new york post.

“My mind is blown too because the level of disrespect and utter ignorance of all 3 parties involved is astounding,” read a comment from Kelis’ @bountyandfull Instagram account on a fan account’s post.

“I heard about this the same way everyone else did,” she continued. “Nothing is ever as it seems, some of the people in this business have no soul or integrity and they have everyone fooled.”

When an Instagram user called the track “the collab the world really needs,” Kelis clapped back.

“It’s not a collab it’s theft,” she wrote, going on to call the sampling “ridiculous.”

The chef subsequently posted Instagram videos describing her “issues” with Beyoncé, 40, saying that she feels “sensitive about [her] s**t” as a musician.

“Not only are we black female artists in an industry where there’s not that many of us, we’ve met each other, we know each other, we have mutual friends. It’s not that hard to contact [me],” she said. “It’s just common decency … even if you’re gonna do it anyway.”

Kelis clarified that her “real beef” was not with the Ivy Park creator, alleging that producer Pharrell Williams “swindled” her out of the rights to her music.

“Pharell knows better,” she claimed. “This is a direct hit at me. The reality is, this is frustrating. I have the right to be frustrated.”

After calling the move “passive aggressive, petty [and] stupid,” Kelis shared a second video captioned, “There are bully’s [sic] and secrets and gangsters in this industry that smile and get away with it until someone says enough is enough. So I’m saying it today. I’m coming for what’s mine and I want reparations.”

Fans have shared mixed feelings via Twitter about Kelis’s accusations.

“She just wanted to be notified. I totally understand her indignation at her, ”one social media user wrote, while another added,“ Beyoncé could [have] left Kelis’ name off it. Instead, Bey put Kelis’s name on the list of sample credits. … Kelis needs 2 take up her misplaced anger from her with her from her former label from her. ”

A third noted that it’s “OK to understand Kelis’ point and still support Beyoncé,” explaining, “My hope is that a conversation takes place between them. Black queens can have conflict and also resolve.”

Beyoncé’s Renaissance album hit streaming services on Friday — although all 16 tracks were leaked online two days prior.

Page Six has reached out to representatives for Kelis and Beyoncé for comment.
