‘Khloé hasn’t shared a name yet. She is taking her time with the name, ‘the source continued, adding,’ ella She wants it to be just right.’

The news broke that the on-again, off-again couple were expecting a son together on July 13, about seven months after their last breakup.

They are already parents to four-year-old daughter True Thompson.

‘My happy sweet girl,’ the proud mom, 38, gushed in the caption of her latest Instagram post showing the little girl flashing her infectious smile.

‘We can confirm True will have a sibling who was conceived in November,’ a representative previously told People. ‘Khloé is incredibly grateful to the extraordinary surrogate for such a beautiful blessing. We’d like to ask her for kindness and privacy so that Khloe can focus on her family.’

The exes have had a rollercoaster relationship since they first started dating back in 2016.

In September 2017, rumors began circulating that the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star was pregnant with her first child. The NBA player, who was with the Cleveland Cavaliers at the time, was already a dad to son Prince, whose mother, Jordan Craig, was pregnant when he started dating the reality star.

Right before Kardashian gave birth to True in April 2018, it was revealed that Thompson had cheated on her on numerous occasions, but somehow they managed to stay together.

They eventually split in February 2019 when word got out that he had cheated with Kylie Jenner’s former best friend, Jordyn Woods.

Yet they found their way back to each other the following year, due in part to spending plenty of time together during COVID-19 quarantine.

They split again in June 2021 before reuniting, and then Kardashian ended the romance for seemingly the last time this past January.

Thompson is also the father to son Theo, eight months, whom he shares with Maralee Nichols.

Late mum wrote letter for kids and husband before dying

Before her tragic death in June, Dame Deborah James wrote down all she had learned about staying positive in the face of adversity.

The inspirational Sun columnist and podcaster was determined to share her life lessons in new book How To Live When You Could Be Dead, The Sun reports.

Here, in an exclusive extract, Emily Fairbairn shares Deborah’s beautiful final letter to husband Sebastien, son Hugo, 14, and 12-year-old daughter Eloise:

“I am currently sitting here next to the love of my life, Sebastien.

I never quite knew if you could really have a love of your life, but I now know what the very core of unquestioned love is between two people.

I have always loved my husband.

I fancied him from when I first met him, and I knew I would marry him after our third date.

It was clear to me that, while he wasn’t perfect, there was something about him that was right for me.

He respected me, and he never let me walk all over him or wrap him around my little finger.

He has always been, and always will be, the one person who can come and make everything better at 3am. He makes me feel safe.

If I look across any room 18 years later, I still find him the most attractive man there.

He had to mellow like a fine wine, because he has a stubborn side, which makes the three-year-old in me want to throw all my toys out of the pram.

He loves a feisty debate and loves to joke — sometimes I just prefer a movie and a glass of wine.

When I look back at our relationship and marriage, I realize that it didn’t just happen without work.

The complexities of daily life sometimes got in the way.

It’s easy to forget that the person you love is still there in front of you when things are clouded by the annoyance of childcare logistics, money pressures and living like ships in the night.

I wish I had learned at a young age that making time for your marriage to work should be as much a part of your time table as going to the gym or cleaning your teeth.

It’s important that you don’t allow the big arguments to build up, when all you really want is to forget about everything and cuddle the one person who you love.

As cancer brings my life to an end, I feel this cruel realization that I’m not fully able to be myself with the one person I have adored and needed in my life more than anyone else.

I feel robbed of the freedom of a body without pain to kiss with, the freedom for us to make whimsical plans for our future and retirement together.

Our goals and dreams have had to be adjusted week by week and day by day, depending on my cancer.

My husband has always been my rock. He holds me up when I can’t hold myself and wipes away my tears.

And yet I’ve wondered every day how it must have felt for him when the fairytale marriage he signed up for became a daily struggle to survive and fight for an extra moment of living.

I’ve wondered how he’s felt knowing he is about to become a widower.

I’ve wondered how he’ll remember me, and I’ve wondered if he will be OK.

To Hugo and Eloise, I can’t even speak about you without crying. You are my world.

I’ve learned that there are many ways to parent—nothing is right or wrong as long as there is love.

I’ve also learned that children are more resilient than we think.

There are mental snapshots of being a parent that will never leave you.

But the beautifully etched memories that will come to you in your death are not necessarily the ones you might expect.

One of my first is of Hugo when he was four days old.

He was lying next to me in our double bed in our flat, and he was looking for my breast to feed on — he was yellow and had a big conehead.

I remember looking at this little 6lb ball cradled against my tummy and thinking that it was only at this point that I had begun to understand what love was.

I now look at that same 14-year-old boy, who still takes the time to cuddle up next to me on the sofa, and I would give anything to continue being able to protect him in the way I did when he was just four days old.

I believe in self-fulfilling prophecies, I believe in rebellious hope and I believe my children will be OK when I die.

Because if I tell them they won’t be, then they might not be.

I want them to realize that life does not always go according to plan.

You can make plans, and you can have goals, but you have to be prepared for the fact that sometimes life is more interesting when you go off-piste — so be brave.

Take a chance and back yourself.

Remember to be your number one cheerleader.

Don’t leave the world and all it has to offer until retirement — experience it now.

Learn to balance living in the now and being present in the moment with your plans for the future (although this may be the hardest lesson of all).

Marry only for love.

Buy a dog — I bought Winston at one of the lowest points in my life and he has made me so happy. Nature and animals make me happy.

It is only towards the end of my life that I have really started to appreciate nature.

Take time out. Relaxing isn’t an indulgence — it’s a form of refilling ourselves. None of us can drink from empty cups.

Each day, do things that make you happy — build them into your life and never criticize others for the things that make them happy.

Every day we wake up not knowing if we will see the full 24 hours of the day, so as the sun comes up on a new day, we should feel blessed.

We are given 86,400 seconds every day, and we each choose how to use them.

It is only as they begin to slip away from us that we understand the value of each and every one of those seconds.

So, my greatest advice to you is that you can do whatever you want with those seconds. You can use them however you want.

The choice is yours, but the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.

Do you believe in yours?

Another post was made in June and showed the pair dressed up in a 1920s party attire after attending a Great Gatsby-themed party.

The pair ‘grew closer’ after Dr Teo ended 30 years of marriage and split with his wife Genevieve Agnew in 2018.

Dr Teo, 62, and Ms Agnew met when he was 25 while she was working at hospital as a nurse.

The neurosurgeon had discussed his relationship with his then-wife in several newspaper and TV profiles and public speeches, and his family regularly supported him at black tie galas for his brain cancer research foundation.

Dr Teo publicly announced the pair had split in a statement released in 2020 – saying they had split ‘two years ago but remain friends’.

‘This is something that is entirely private and confidential to us and not a matter of public interest,’ he said.

The statement was made during a turbulent year for the renowned, but controversial neurosurgeon, famous for his reputation of taking on patients who other doctors have deemed inoperable.

Criticism was also heaped on the surgeon over patients paying six figure sums to fund their surgeries, with many turning to crowdfunding platforms, such as GoFundMe.

The high private fees were charged as patients went outside the public system, Dr Teo explained.

Dr Teo previously said he would receive about $8,000 to $15,000 himself from a $120,000 surgery, with the rest shared among the medical team and to pay for costs.

when you cheat with a friend

“I’ve worked with people where the friends’ kids are at the same school,” says Shaw. “That can be very painful for children. [One might say] ‘Well, I heard your dad made the first move’, ‘Well, I heard your mum made the first move’.”

And the people who’ve reportedly had the sometimes affair suffer from professional backlash.

People have stopped buying teslas because of Musk’s “antics”. And former British prime minister Tony Blair lost a business associate after allegations surfaced that he’d had an affair with Rupert Murdoch’s then-wife, Wendi Deng, which reportedly ended her marriage to her. (“The Wendi Murdoch affair put me off,” recalled American billionaire Tim Collins, who was on the board of Blair’s Faith Foundation, and helped fund it. “The real man was revealed.”)

So, if the damage – and the potential for damage – is so great, why do people keep doing it?

In part, because it’s so taboo, says Lauren Rosewarne, a gender expert at The University of Melbourne who has written a book on infidelity.

“It was always just, like, panting from afar,” Australian singer Rick Springfield, pictured in New York around 1981, said of the girl who inspired his number one 1981 hit, Jessie's Girl, about lusting after a friend's girlfriend.

“It was always just, like, panting from afar,” Australian singer Rick Springfield, pictured in New York around 1981, said of the girl who inspired his number one 1981 hit, Jessie’s Girl, about lusting after a friend’s girlfriend. Credit:Getty

“The sexiest words anyone ever hears are, ‘We shouldn’t be doing this’,” says Rosewarne. “If you look into the psychology of why people cheat, often the taboo is part of the appeal. We’re attracted to people and relationships that seem naughty… Who’s the wrongest person you can have sex with? Your partner’s sister, or her her best friends. ”

Such affairs have long made for salacious plot points in books and films from the 1960s and 1970s like Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice and John Updike’s novel Couple’s, a way for the main characters to jazz up their staid, suburban lives. It’s also why people do it today, says Rosewarne.

Another key driving factor? convenience.

“It’s the idea of people cheating with people who are within arm’s reach,” says Rosewarne. “It’s why politicians have affairs with their secretaries.”

Frequently, such a liaison begins when one person shares with the other that they’re having problems in their relationship, says Shaw. (According to Shania Twain, this is how she partnered with her second husband, Frédéric Thiébaud. The two consoled each other after Twain’s first husband, Robert “Mutt” Lange, had an affair with Thiébaud’s first wife.) “There’s a certain intimacy sort of cocoon that can come about, that leads to various sort of intimacies,” she says. “Generally, that does happen because you have [already] registered that person is attractive to you.”

So how do these new connections fare in the long run?

“Personally, I’ve more often seen the big mistake type of affair, where it blows up the friendship group, and you don’t necessarily partner with that person [you’re having an affair with],” Shaw says. This is often because it was an “opportunistic” affair that lacked substance or because it doesn’t stand up under the stresses of everyday life, she says.

The dramatic circumstances of the pairing often bonds people together in the beginning, says Shaw. “Because they’ve put so much on the line, they’ve often lost their whole friendship group, might have had to move away; it’s kind of ‘us against the world’,” she says. Shaw. “But it also means there’s quite a lot of pressure. Anytime you’ve spent together has been fairly ‘cloak and dagger’, so you haven’t necessarily been out and about in the world, and it’s only when you take up the reigns of domestic life, that you then start to see all the other elements in a relationship.”

But this is assuming that having a relationship with your partner’s friend, or your partner’s ex, is actually taboo, says Dr Jessica Kean, a gender and cultural studies expert at The University of Sydney.

loading

“I often research queer communities or unconventional relationships where people are really outside of social norms already and pretty open to negotiating [different relationship configurations],” says Kean. “In the queer community that I’m a part of, it’s a small community, it’s not that uncommon for people to date their friends and re-date their friends, or date other friends… It might be the same if you’re in a small country town. There’s a limited dating pool, to some extent and, you know, you’ve got to make these choices sometimes.”

Either way, people might want to think long and hard before engaging in a relationship that will – more likely than not – erode many of your relationships.

Because, says Associate Professor Justine Gatt, UNSW, how much social support we have has a direct impact on our brain, and on our wellbeing.

“If we have higher levels of social support” – good relationships whether that be with family, friends, colleagues or romantic partners – “it’s associated with higher wellbeing, lower levels of stress and loneliness. And it can protect us from cognitive decline as we get older.”

So, how to safeguard your own relationship?

“It’s one of those things… if [people] only spoke up early, went to their partner and said, ‘My thoughts are wandering, my mind is drifting, I’m not on track, we need to work on our relationship’,” says Shaw. “Unfortunately, people often think, ‘It’s a bad patch, everybody’s daydreams. It’s really only a friend.’ They start to convince themselves of all sorts of things. ‘There’s no harm done. Nobody knows.’”

My Kitchen Rules viewers praise new judge Nigella Lawson: ‘Massive upgrade’

Nigella Lawson has completely charmed viewers with her My Kitchen Rules debut, as fans declared she will “save the series”.

The British home cooking queen, who was earlier announced as Pete Evans’ replacement for the 2022 season, appeared alongside French chef Manu Feildel on Sunday night for the struggling cooking show’s much-anticipated return to screens.

And her star-power could prove to be the winning ingredient to bolster MKR‘s ratings, with viewers rushing to social media to give the 62-year-old their tick of approval.

At one stage during the premiere episode, which saw Victorian father-and-daughter duo Peter and Alice cooking first, Lawson ditched her cutlery to chomp into a lamb cutlet, much to the delight of people watching from home.

Prior to the show airing, Lawson took to Twitter to say she was “excited and nervous in equal measure”, as she urged her followers to tune in with a “glass of wine or mug of tea”.

The 12th season of the Channel 7 cooking show follows a two-year hiatus for MKRwhich suffered declining ratings in 2019 and 2020.

Presumably in a bid to compete with its rival prime-time show, Channel 9’s Married At First Sightthe series was copping criticism for overdoing it on the dramatics and straying from its humble roots.

In an effort to reinvigorate the franchise, the network parted ways with original Judge Evans following a slew of controversies, and promised the series would be bouncing back to its core values of “real food and real people” in 2022.

Meanwhile Evans, 49, responded to the news of Lawson’s appointment back in April, wishing his “dear mate Manu” the best for the future of the series.

“I wish Channel 7, the crew and my dear mate Manu ️all the very best on their upcoming series,” he wrote on social media at the time.

“I will always cherish the many years we spent together, creating so many wonderful memories.”

It’s understood Lawson will only feature in half of the season, with former MasterChef judge Matt Preston joining Feildel for the back half.

Celebrity chefs Colin Fassnidge and Curtis Stone are also set to return as guest judges.

Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall rattled by woman’s foot act on plane

Passengers have to put up with a lot of things on flights, but if there is one thing that no one should have to deal with, it’s bare feet in your face.

Whether it’s near you or in your peripheral vision it’s an act that happens unfortunately all too often.

The latest traveler to be confronted by another flyer’s feet was Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall – and she was so shocked by what she had witnessed on a flight, she recorded a TikTok and shared it with her 1.9 million TikTok followers to also feel her pain.

“Breathtaking views at 38,000 – feet,” she British singer captioned the video.

Jade filmed herself looking stunned before flipping the phone to show a woman a few rows in front with her leg stretched so high, her foot was touching the overhead locker.

In the two days since she posted it, it has already clocked almost five million views and over 13,000 comments with many grossed out by the act.

“I’d be screaming if I’d seen this,” one person wrote.

“I want to cry,” said another, while a third yelled: “WHY DID SHE START POINTING THEM?”

One user described it as “absolutely foul”.

“People are so wrong on a plane – morals, manners and politeness go out the window.”

Others were more concerned for Jade.

“I hope you are OK after experiencing this Jade,” one person joked, to which the star responded: “A little rattled but I’m OK hun.”

“Imagine you did this in a plane and ended up on Jade Thirlwall’s TikTok,” another said.

A cabin crew member also chimed in saying it is her “greatest fear”.

“’Madam, please may you remove your toes from the ceiling?’” she joked.

Others complimented the woman on her manicured toes while some wished they were “that flexible”.

“I’d be p**sing myself trying not to laugh,” one user added.

Some couldn’t believe the man sitting next to her was completely unfazed.

“The fact the person next to them is talking to them like this is a normal occurrence,” they wrote.

However, as much as the passenger’s foot act was the center of attention, fans also couldn’t help but applaud the singer for sitting in economy, particularly given her popular and successful British band Little Mix has a net worth of £48 million ($ A83 million), according to The Sunday Times Rich List 2020.

“Humble queen not flying private,” one fan commented.

“Imagine being on the same plane as Jade Thirlwall,” another wrote.

It is unclear where Jade was flying to or from, but it comes after she had her phone stolen in Ibiza.

“Shoutout to whoever stole my phone. Not having one for a little while was truly bliss. Anyways, here’s me being a basic b**ch in Ibiza a cutla weeks ago,” she said in an Instagram post alongside a selfie on the party island.

It appears Jade is no stranger to flying on commercial flights.

“I was sat next to her in the airport and didn’t want to bother her for a pic. Regretted it ever since,” one fan wrote.

As for the bare feet, it’s also not the first time something like this has happened.

In May, a passenger was left horrified when another flyer shoved their bare feet onto their seat’s armrest during a flight.

The traveler was flying from Melbourne to Adelaide when the incident occurred

A video shows a person looking at the camera in horror before zooming in on the bare feet poking through from the seat behind and on the armrest.

The passenger then appears to notice they are being filmed and quickly whips their feet back.

Experts have also warned travelers to never be barefoot on a plane.

California-based podiatrist Ebonie Vincent, who is also behind the US TV series, My Feet Are Killing Mesaid that being barefoot leaves travelers exposed to bad bacteria.

NAthanial Harland was four years old when his daycare teachers noticed the usually playful boy was lethargic and alone in a corner. That day a doctor listened to the child’s chest and told his family of him to take Nathaniel straight to hospital – he had a heart murmur.

Further testing showed his heart had been damaged from an earlier, undiagnosed bout of rheumatic fever, a serious but entirely preventable disease that has been all but wiped out in most developed countries but which is still present in New Zealand and Australia.

“That was a huge shock… it was a huge change in our life… I was at the hospital 24/7 with Nathanial and my husband took on the role of full-time carer at home,” said Natasha Harland, his mother.

Nathanial, now 12, has to undergo regular, painful injections and has just also been diagnosed with lung disease. He gets heart palpitations and has had bouts of falling unconscious, Natasha said.

“He has a high pain threshold, so when he says he isn’t feeling well, that is the time for us to call an ambulance because he goes downhill quite quickly.”

Rheumatic fever can be a deadly autoimmune disease triggered by untreated step-throat or, as New Zealand researchers have recently discovered, untreated skin infections. It can be painful, cause neurological effects, and can develop into irreversible rheumatic heart disease, requiring long-term drug treatment and, on occasion, heart valve surgery.

It is a disease divided down racial lines in New Zealand – 93% of cases present in Pasifika and Māori children. Pasifika children are admitted to hospital for rheumatic fever 140 times more often than children of “European or other” ethnicities, while Māori children were admitted 50 times more often. On average 140 people die from rheumatic heart disease each year. Roughly 160 new cases are diagnosed a year but many cases go unreported.

There is no cure, but a government-funded project is under way in New Zealand to assess whether a vaccine is possible.

Like many children diagnosed with rheumatic fever, Nathanial is Māori (Ngāti Maniapoto). Less typically, his family did not face the socioeconomic and housing pressures of many of those who contract the disease; overwhelmingly, rheumatic fever is a disease of poverty.

New research published in the journal The Lancet has uncovered the strongest evidence yet that those who live in overcrowded housing develop skin infections and those who lack access to primary healthcare are more likely to develop acute rheumatic fever.

Lead author Prof Michael Baker, from the University of Otago, said it was the first time researchers had investigated risk factors for group Astreptococcal infections of the throat (strep throat) and skin (strep skin) that can cause rheumatic fever.

“It is now the most iniquitous disease probably in New Zealand,” Baker said.

“It has alarmed pediatricians and epidemiologists for decades that we still have this disease in these populations – and when you look at the literature to figure out what’s driving the risk factors, there is literally nothing there.”

Baker was also involved in a 2021 study that, for the first time, showed a link between skin infections and the disease. “[The studies] are all pointing in one direction and that is: skin infections … are likely to be the major driver of rheumatic fever and therefore need to be a major focus for preventing this disease.”

It was a major step forward to have identified a key pathway driving the risk of rheumatic fever, he said.

“That’s the real evidence we need to convince clinicians they should go all out on treating skin infections.”

More than 10% of New Zealand’s population lives in overcrowded housing. The reasons are many, but a runaway housing market, high rents, stagnant wages, a lack of social housing and increasing costs of living are the most significant factors. Meanwhile, the country has widespread problems with damp, moldy housing.

The study found that supplying suitable housing and minimizing household crowding could reduce the incidence of acute rheumatic fever.

Creating better living conditions must be the long-term priority, said Distinguished Prof Philippa Howden-Chapman, from the University of Otago, who sits on the board of Kainga Ora, the country’s public housing agency.

“We are undergoing the largest public housing build since the war really, certainly since the 1970s – the government is putting a lot of money in there and it seems to be starting to create a bit of equilibrium.

“But the lag always has tragic consequences, with people getting these infectious diseases.”

‘A national embarrassment’

The rates of hospital admissions for children with acute rheumatic fever and rheumatic heart disease have remained high over the past 20 years in New Zealand, despite efforts to reduce them, according to a report released in June by Cure Kids, the country’s largest charitable funder of medical and scientific research for children’s health.

“On many measures, New Zealand is currently one of the worst places in the developed world to be a child,” said judge Frances Eivers, the children’s commissioner, who provided commentary for the report.

“It’s a national embarrassment,” said Dr Ruth Gorinski, the chief executive of Heart Kids NZ, the only charity dedicated to supporting and advocating for children with heart problems, including those who have acquired rheumatic heart disease.

One of the key election promises of the prime minister, Jacinda Ardern, before being elected was reducing child poverty, and on entering government she made herself the minister for child poverty reduction. She has made good on some of those promises, but not all.

“It’s not going to be an effective investment of any amount of money that Jacinda pours into it until she looks at a collective approach,” Gorinski said. “It needs to be equity focused, family and whānau-centred, developmentally and culturally appropriate and have the voice of young people.”

Harland wants to see a national register established, so strep infections can be tracked, schools can be informed and communities at risk can be supported.

“Este [problem] has been around for years and years – and what has been done about it? Nothing that I can see.”

Moon Knight Season 2 Receives Discouraging Update From Producer

Moon Knight had a stellar first season on Disney+. The Oscar Isaac-led MCU series crafted a unique standalone story that tackled mental health while also introducing another powerful hero. After the show’s incredible run, fans were curious if Moon Knight would receive a sophomore run, similar to Tom Hiddleston’s Loki series.

While promoting the show’s finale, eagle-eyed fans noticed that Marvel Studios’ official Twitter account noted the sixth episode as the “season finale” rather than a “series finale,” teasing fans that Season 2 could be in the works. In addition, the official Twitter account of Disney+ Hotstar India also posted a tweet that could hint at the possibility of seeing the show’s second season by saying:

“Can’t decide what’s harder. Dealing with heat or waiting for the 2nd season of #MoonKnight”

Now, an important update about Season 2 has emerged straight from the show’s director.

Will Moon Knight Season 2 Happen?

In a previously-released TikTok video, Moon Knight director and executive producer Mohamed Diab and Oscar Isaac teased a potential Season 2 announcement for the MCU series.

However, when responding to a fan on Twitter, Diab clarified that there are currently no discussions about the MCU future of the titular hero, indicating that no movement has been made on a second season:

“There is no talk about a future for the character yet but this is soo valid.”

The user’s tweet also mentioned that Moon Knight‘s creatives should reach out to Jewish creators to improve the Jewish representation in the show’s future, which Diab fully agreed with in his “this is soo valid” response.

Where Will Moon Knight Show Up Next?

Mohamed Diab’s latest comment could suggest that the team has yet to go back to the drawing board to address where Moon Knight is headed. Still, Marvel Studios could be keeping the plans for the character under wraps before revealing them to those heavily involved with the first season.

Given the show’s success combined with the cliffhanger ending of Season 1, there’s a strong chance that Moon Knight will return to continue telling the story of Oscar Isaac’s intriguing MCU hero. This is on top of the growing interest from the show’s cast and crew.

Marvel Studios creative and Moon Knight executive producer Grant Curtis previously emphasized his hopes to have the full “amazing cast” join him in a potential Season 2 or any other future related projects.

The show’s head writer Jeremy Slater already teased that the potential of answering the question of whether Jake Lockley is an ally or an enemy to Marc Spector and Steven Grant in Season 2 could be exciting to explore, meaning that a storyline is already in place if Marvel you decide to greenlight a sophomore run.

If Moon Knight is not renewed, there are still more ways for the character to return in other projects, such as Blade and Marvel Studios’ Halloween special. The character could also make the jump to the big screen in his own solo movie. Considering the character’s interesting backstory and skill set, Moon Knight could be utilized in many different projects down the line.

Moon Knight is streaming on Disney+.
