Hunted Australia viewers are left furious over a ‘wildly unfair’ twist

Viewers of Hunted Australia have been left furious over an ‘unfair’ twist that saw one half of a team get caught on Sunday’s episode.

Bondi couple Lavinia and Nick spent two weeks completely off the grid by avoiding friends and family, and not using the bank cards given to them at the start of the competition.

But eventually the pair found themselves in need of money because they were getting ‘cold, tired and hungry’.

However, just as they went to withdraw the cash they were entitled to spend, as per the rules of the game, the Hunters decided to throw a spanner in the works.

They froze the pair’s ATM card in a bid to catch them, even though all the other teams had taken advantage of this emergency cash resource.

In CCTV footage, Lavinia made several attempts to withdraw cash without luck.

The Hunters cheered back at HQ as she struggled to work out why one of their few lifelines had been taken away before they could even use it.

Viewers flocked to Twitter to express their anger and frustration, labeling the Hunters’ decision ‘unfair’.

‘I gotta say that freezing the bank account is wildly unfair,’ one viewer tweeted.

‘Hey freezing their bank accounts… is that fair?’ another added.

Meanwhile, several viewers accused the Hunters of ‘cheating’.

‘Here’s a card with $500, but you can’t withdraw it all at once, and we’ll cancel it at any time we choose to. This show is addictive but utter bulls**t.’

‘Don’t think it’s fair that the hunters cancel or freeze bank cards. It’s a game and that feels like cheating… too much power and now manipulation!’ another fan tweeted.

The shock twist comes after last week’s ‘unAustralian’ betrayal which saw aunt-and-niece duo Karen and Brittany get caught after being tipped off by their bus driver.

Also on Sunday’s episode, friends Puneet and Kris dropped by the remote country property of one of their contacts, but fled after becoming suspicious the Hunters where on their tail.

The Hunters managed to capture the pair, as well as Nick, leaving his partner Lavinia on her own with no money.

The Hunted team is still tracking down five contestants – Stathi and Matt, Jake and Rob, and Lavinia – who are on the run with just a few days left.

A man who accidentally made his mother an online star through home videos has released a film in her honor.

Jason said more than 100 million people followed Oma’s journey with dementia before she died in February.

“She would totally be looking at this and having a laugh saying, ‘I can’t believe that’s me’, that’s exactly what she’d be saying,” Jason told A Current Affairr.

Jason and his wife Megan filmed most of the documentary on their mobile phones, capturing the good times and the bad.

“Part of exposing our family to the world is saying, ‘Well, we’re happy to share our story and there’s a lot in our story that we know millions of people around the world are living,'” Jason said.

While it was Oma’s smile and adorable personality that captured hearts across the globe, Megan says the film also dives into the darker times when caring for someone with dementia.

“There is no rulebook, there is no roadmap. It was always about having sort of boundaries, is this safe, is this sustainable, is the rest of the family okay?” Megan said.

Many audience members at a Sydney screening had their own stories to tell, many relating to the dementia journey.

Retired nurse Lyn Edwards said even those working on the frontline in the fight against dementia can learn from the film.

“It’s time to open the doors wider and accept information, not just from the professionals but from the people who have learned experience,” Lyn said.

Clair Gardiner brought her 76-year-old mother Barbara to see Everybody’s Oma after stopping work three years ago to become her full-time carer.

“It’s pretty tough at the moment with COVID, because there are just no carers out there, so that’s pretty tough caring at home on my own,” Clair said.

Jason says Everybody’s Oma was an idea thought up over dinner with friends.

“If someone says, ‘Hey, let’s make a film about your family’, you’re probably not going to think about having 80 per cent of the shots of you walking around the house in your pajamas with your hair sticking up all over the place,” Jason said.

“It was important to show the raw honesty of life because that’s what’s reflected in households all around the country.”

About 1.6 million Australians care for someone with dementia.

HammondCare’s Marie Alford says it’s predicted that 450,000 people will live with the disease by 2030.

“You’d be really hard pressed to find a family that hasn’t been impacted by dementia and by talking about it, we actually connect people to services earlier and that’s got to be a great thing,” Marie said.

Everybody’s Oma opens in cinemas on August 11.

Why everyone is talking about Florence Pugh and Olivia Wilde.

You may have heard rumors about Olivia Wilde and Florence Pugh feuding, while Harry Styles holds Pugh hostage in an utopian community and whispers ‘Don’t worry, darling’ in her ear, and Ted Lasso serves Wilde custody papers live on stage.

Confusing, huh?

Don’t worry (darling), I’ve got you covered.

Here’s everything you need to know the Olivia Wilde and Florence Pugh feuding rumors and their upcoming movie, Don’t Worry Darling:

Let’s start with the basics. what even is Don’t Worry Darling?

Don’t Worry Darling is an upcoming (sexy) thriller movie directed by Olivia Wilde. It stars Florence Pugh as a 1950s housewife who is living with her husband de ella (Harry Styles) in a utopian experimental community run by the company he works for. Soon she begins to worry that her glamorous company might be hiding some dark secrets.

Think The Stepford Wives but… sexier.

Watch the trailer for Don’t Worry Darling. Post continues below.

OK, this movie sounds brilliant. Why do people think Wilde and Pugh are feuding?

So it all comes back to Harry Styles. Doesn’t everything?

Wilde and Styles met on the set in 2020 and allegedly began having an affair while she was still married to Jason Sudeikis aka Ted Lasso.

According to “sources” and also “insiders” the pair were openly hooking up on set and Pugh was not happy about it.

“I can tell you for a fact that Flo seeing Olivia and Harry all over each other on set did not go down well as Olivia was still with Jason when she first hooked up with Harry,” one insider told The New York Post’s Page Six.

“Jason and the kids visited Olivia on set at the beginning a few times, so I think this all made people feel a little uncomfortable,” the insider added.

Wait… Ted Lasso is involved?

Well, kind of.

Wilde and Sudeikis got engaged in 2012 and they have two kids together – Otis, eight, and Daisy, five.

They separated in November 2020.

In an interview on Todaythe musical drama’s leading man also marveled at its longevity, and how it’s been able to garner new fans over the course of the last four decades.

‘I love it. I think it’s great,’ he told the co-host Willie Geist, adding, ‘It’s like all of those things that you think “Oh, my gosh, is it ever going to go away?” At a certain point, you have to embrace the beast.’

Bacon, 64, went on to add how ‘it was a great gift to be part of that movie. I certainly took it very seriously when I was doing it and I love that people will still come up and say that they just showed it to their kids.’

The Philadelphia native also credited the film’s enduring popularity to the Broadway musical that premiered back in 1998, and has since gone on to have traveling versions of the musical in the US and UK, while also having a couple of runs on London’s West End.

‘After the Broadway show (ended) its run, it then becomes available to be done in every single high school,’ he explained. ‘And there’s not that many plays, certainly musicals, where you can have a musical and a bunch of high school kids in it.’

The film’s popularity can also be attributed to the music, which included the title song, Footloose by Kenny Loggins and Let’s Hear It For The Boy, which was performed by Deniece Williams.

Just a few weeks ago, Bacon convinced his wife, actress Kyra Sedgwick, to take part in the ‘Footloose Drop’ challenge that went viral on TikTok.

The trend, which is set to Loggins’ iconic song, has one partner holding the other horizontally grabbing onto one hand and leg. Then, the partner unrolls the other toward the floor, catching them before they fall.

While confessing he didn’t remember these such moves being part of the original movie, Bacon and Sedgwick went on to pull off the faux drop in their video that was posted on his Instagram page; although she did suffer a wrist injury.

In the film, Bacon played a teenager who moves from the big city of Chicago to a small town in rural Southeast Texas, where he attempts to overturn a ban on dancing instituted by the efforts of a local minister, played by John Lithgow.

Along with Bacon and Lithgow, the cast also included Lori Singer, Dianne Wiest, Sarah Jessica Parker and Chris Penn, among others.

Secrets of world’s most exclusive sex club Snctm revealed by performer

Whispers travel across the dimly-lit room that an A-list female star is among the masked guests at a top-secret Snctm sex party.

Members, who pay up to $50,000 a year to attend orgies in lavish settings, are sipping champagne and cocktails by the bar, while some are already exploring each other’s bodies, The Sun reported.

This is a regular evening at work for Haley Grace, who puts on a tantalizing display with fellow performers, and has recalled her experiences working for the elite society.

The high-end erotic arts club, which launched in 2013, has become a sexy night-life staple in cities including LA and New York, offering guests the chance to realize their wildest sexual fantasies.

Haley is a performer, model, costume designer, and producer who has been working at the club’s intimate events since last September, often held in mansions or luxury penthouses.

Her specialty acts range from fire performance, burlesque, and roller-dancing to environmental character performances. She is also a professional mermaid.

She says her shows for Snctm are “expressive, elegant, and sensual,” and dare the viewer to transcend reality and enter a world of fantasy, reminiscent of the 1999 film ‘Eyes Wide Shut’ starring Tom Cruise.

In an exclusive interview with The Sun, she said: “I first heard of Snctm through a night-life venue I perform at, and my first

time attending was actually as a guest.

“I went with a date and we had an absolutely amazing time. I went to the next event again as a guest but alone.

“It was a different experience but exciting and satisfying nonetheless.“At this point, I had gotten to know many of the people involved in making SncTM and it really made me want to be a part of the

team, so I applied to become one of their performers.

“The following event they had I was making my debut performance. I have been a XXX performer for a year now.”

She admitted: “My friends know of my role with Snctm but I have never felt the urge to make it a family discussion.

“I’m polyamorous and also perform with my main partner.

“Doing acts with him is great because the performance is really enhanced when the chemistry between two people is real and they know each other’s bodies.”

When it comes to guest relations, she said performers do interact with them by mingling and flirting to ensure they are having a good time and getting in the mood.

However, as a general rule, performers do not hook up with guests.

“I don’t have any sexual contact with guests – I only physically interact with the other XXX models that I have consented to perform with,” Haley said.

“The show is always different and so is every evening. At the last Snctm party, I did a beautiful bondage scene while being serenaded by a violinist – it was divine.”

She says the crowd of up to 100 is made up of “beautiful, wealthy people” working in everything from business and finance to the arts, including many well-known faces.

Recalling one night in New York which sticks in her mind, Haley said she rubbed shoulders with a female celebrity and the pair had a memorable conversation.

Asked if she’s ever been starstruck at Snctm, she said: “Yes, there was one time I definitely was. And I got the opportunity to talk to them for a while.

“It was an A-list female star, people like to do this in secret and be able to kind of shed their inhibitions.”

Asked if the star got involved with any fellow guests, Haley giggled and replied: “I can’t speak on that.”

Quizzed if the club still gets many big names through its doors, she said: “I’m not really the best with celebrity names and faces, but people do get excited like, ‘Oh, so and so is here’. So that’s fun.

“The organizers are very strict about people’s phones, they are taken at the door. And they have really good security.

“Consent is also the most important thing. They really do a good job of making sure that it’s like a safe space for everyone, not just celebrities.”

The parties run from around 10pm until 3pm and Snctm has also hosted events in the likes of Miami and Moscow, with actress Gwyneth Paltrow even reportedly promoting the club.

“Typically when people arrive, men are in tuxedos, and women are dressed in evening gowns with sexy lingerie underneath,” Haley said.

“They’ll go over to the bar, get a cocktail. We’ll have some more ambient performers.

“And then the night kind of progresses from there. The performances are spread out between rooms.

“We have different stage pieces. There’s a lot of attention to detail, decor, props, things of that sort, lighting, and music.

“A lot of times we’ll have live musicians. I’ve done scenes where I was also being serenaded by either a harpist or violinist, there can be a really beautiful, dark ambience.”

While many sex parties involve guests going off into private rooms to get down and dirty, Haley said Snctm is more of a “play party.”

“The point is really more to play in public,” she said. And then there are people who are fly on the wall [voyeurs].”

Guests get down to business – kissing and engaging in foreplay, in either couples or groups, while others go all the way and enjoy full sex in front of fellow members.

Haley said since events were canceled throughout the pandemic due to safety, Snctm is now more popular than ever, insisting: “We’re always packed out.”

Snctm has thrived under new ownership for the past few years and they have also welcomed a new creative director, Inka Nevala, an award-winning performance artist who also goes by Lou Lou D’vil.

Haley said the majority of her parties have been in New York, with a few in Los Angeles, and she’ll arrive at the event in the afternoon to have her hair and makeup done.

“Next, I will do a run-through and discussion with the creative director and my performance partner(s) about the scenes I’m in.

“Following that I get into costume and do a photo shoot. I usually have plenty of time to relax and socialize until getting ready for the doors to open and the real fun to begin.

“I’ll often start the evening doing a more ambient performance and then later on in the night will do the more intense sex scenes on the main stage with my partner(s).

“I’ll typically have three performative moments throughout the night.”

Haley said she’d encourage couples or single women to join Snctm, describing it as a “sexual oasis” and ”a unique experience.”

She added: “If you are a sexually open-minded person, or want to open up more, it’s a great way to find like minds and try new things.

“The feedback I get from guests is really positive. A lot of first-timers have expressed to me that they were surprised with how open and inspired they felt being there.”

Pat Carroll dead: Voice of Ursula dies aged 95

Pat Carroll, the actress known for voicing the underwater villain Ursula in Disney’s animated tale, The Little Mermaid, died on July 30. She was 95.

The Emmy Award-winning actress passed away at her home on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, while recovering from pneumonia, according to Variety.

Carroll found a niche as a comedian on the late-night circuit beginning in the 1940s, and voiced several cartoon characters through the years before earning an Emmy for her work on Sid Caesar’s Hour.

Born in Shreveport, Louisiana, Carroll’s family moved to Los Angeles when she was five years old, and she picked up acting in local productions shortly after.

She graduated from the local, all-girls Immaculate Heart High School, whose notable alumni include Meghan Markle, Diane Disney (the daughter of Walt and Lillian Disney), Mary Tyler Moore, Lucie Arnaz, Tyra Banks and Yara Shahidi.

After enlisting in the Army, she attended the Catholic University of America, and began her career in the industry with the 1947 film Hometown Girl.

She co-starred as Prunella in a 1965 production of the musical version of cinderellaand worked on Laverne & Shirley, Busting Loose, The Ted Knight Show and She’s The Sheriff.

Other appearances included The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Love Boat, Designing Women and ER.

She won several theatrical awards for her one-woman show on Gertrude Stein. The recorded version won a Grammy for Best Spoken Word, Documentary or Drama in 1980.

In 1989, she played the villainous sea witch Ursula and sang Poor Unfortunate Souls, a role she once said was one of her all-time favourites.

She reprized the infamous character’s voice for a number of Disney video games and television shows, most recently in 2020 with The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse short series.

Carroll is survived by daughters Kerry Karsian, Tara Karsian and granddaughter Evan Karsian-McCormick.

Beauty and the Geek Australia 2022: Four more Geek makeovers

Beauty and the Geek’s four remaining ‘Geeks’ underwent their makeovers during Monday’s episode of the reality series – and one got an instant tick of approval from his ‘Beauty’, who leapt into his arms for a lingering kiss.

Check out the impressive makeovers below…

Jason

Victorian muso Jason, 29, had perhaps the night’s biggest transformation, losing his shaggy hair and beard – and stepping out with a discernible new air of confidence and even a few male-model poses.

He said he’d changed a lot since the show started, explaining that on his first day, he could “barely muster standing within 20m of the Beauties.”

Jason came out to wild reactions from the rest of the contestants, one of whom summed up the mood by saying: “Who the hell IS that?”

The Beauty he’d been paired with, Emily, could not stop screaming.

“When I saw myself in the mirror, I didn’t recognize myself. I saw someone new…almost like a long-lost brother or something. It was really wild to see myself like that,” Jason said.

“I feel like a weight has been lifted off me. Something as simple as not having beard hair to fiddle with or hair on my face to block my view of things is tremendously powerful for my confidence.”

Aaron

NSW train driver Aaron said he had come “so, so far” on the show, listing a few of his “firsts”.

“I’ve conquered my fear of dogs, jumped off a train through a firewall, posed with my shirt off and grown so much. I’ve changed so much through this experience,” he said.

Emerging post-makeover with a new haircut and outfit, Aaron said he felt “so, so happy… I’m ready to start living now.”

His Beauty Karly was full of praise, dubbing him her “sexy Aaron-cini ball.”

anthony

A self-proclaimed Harry Potter superfan, 26-year-old Anthony suffered bullying at high school and had never quite built his self-confidence after that trauma.

So it’s understandable that his makeover was an emotional experience – he shed a tear or two when he first looked at himself in the mirror.

“It was very emotional,” he said. “It was like, ‘why can’t you love yourself? Why can’t you be proud of who you are?’”

Thankfully his Beauty Tegan was there to be his biggest cheerleader, dubbing the new-look Anthony “a bad boy rich sugar daddy.”

Michael

Fans who’ve been watching this season will know that 25-year-old children’s party entertainer Michael has already developed quite the connection with his Beauty, Tara.

Even so, it was a shock when the new-look Michael stepped out – and an overwhelmed Tara immediately ran into his arms to give him a long, lingering kiss on the lips.

For Michael, it was the dream outcome.

“That was so romantic. I have dreamt of a moment like that. I really felt, really happy… very wanted. I didn’t know she could move that fast in heels!” he said.

Tara couldn’t hide her excitement at the new-look Michael.

“Obviously I fell for you before (the makeover) but this is a cherry on top – I’m not complaining,” she said.

“A sexy bonus?” asked host Sophie Monk.

“I’m glad to be your sexy bonus,” said Michael.

After that loved-up moment, it was a bittersweet end to the episode, as Jason and Emily were eliminated from the competition.

The four makeovers came after fellow contestant Christopher underwent his big transformation last week.

Bindi Irwin has captured the moment her one-year-old daughter Grace Warrior waved at a photo of her late grandfather Steve.

Posting to Instagram on Monday, Bindi, 24, shared a video of her cherubic toddler searching for posters of Steve outside an animal enclosure at Australia Zoo.

‘Is he over here? Grandpa Crocodile. And he’s in his construction hat!’ Bindi cooed from behind the camera as little Grace pointed at a poster of Steve wearing a hard hat.

‘You love Grandpa Crocodile. Yeah, love, love! Good girl. Love for Grandpa Crocodile,’ she continued, as a wide-eyed Grace beamed and waved at the poster.

Crocodile Hunter Steve tragically died in September 2006 at the age of 44, after being pierced in the chest by a stingray barb while filming a wildlife documentary in Batt Reef, Queensland.

Bindi was just eight years old at the time.

‘There’s a lot of information, opinions and advice that you get, and as a new parent you go, ‘I have to follow all this,’ and you feel a pressure to try and be the perfect parent, come up with the perfect routine ,” Chandler told the publication.

‘I think the best advice I got was the fact that you can read every baby book, you can take everybody’s advice on board, but at the end of the day, you know what works for your child,’ Bindi added.

‘And that was so freeing for me.’
