Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson's shock split

Friends close to Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson have confirmed the couple have gone their separate ways after several months of dating.

Comedian Davidson, 28, and reality television royalty Kardashian, 41, have reportedly decided to be friends, according to a source who spoke exclusively to AND! News.

“They have a lot of love and respect for each other,” the insider said, “but found that the long distance and their demanding schedules made it really difficult to maintain a relationship.”

Davidson is currently in Australia while filming an upcoming comedy flick in Cairns, with Kardashian recently popping over for a visit.

It comes after the former Saturday night Live star said marriage and children were “100 per cent” in his outlook in an interview with actor Kevin Hart.

During the podcast chat, Davidson spoke about how becoming a father would be “his favorite thing ever.”

“(I’m) definitely a family guy,” Hart told. “My favorite thing ever, which I’m yet to achieve, is I want to have a kid. It’s like my dream. It would be so fun to dress up a little dude.”

Kardashian similarly hinted at her hopes of a future with the King of Staten Island actor, with sources recently telling People they were “very much a serious couple”.

The source did add, however, that Kardashian was finding long distance difficult while Davidson shoots his film Wizards! down under.

“The long distance hasn’t been easy for Kim, but they are making it work. They are still very happy, ”they said, adding that the SKIMS co-founder was looking forward to his US return from him.

“Kim loved visiting Pete in Australia in July. They had been apart for several weeks and they enjoyed a long weekend together,” the source said.

“Pete is still filming, but will be finished now in August. He has another project in the US though, so he will continue to be busy.”

The duo confirmed their unlikely pairing in November last year, causing a stir on social media with their steamy displays of affection. They first met when Kardashian guest hosted SNLwhere the pair shared a kiss during a skit.

In a cheeky moment on Hulu’s the kardashiansthe stunning mum-of-four said she originally pursued the comic because of his rumored “BDE” (Big D*ck Energy).

“So, this is how it went down with Pete. I did SNL, and then when we kissed in scene, it was just a vibe,” she said during a confessional interview, per People. ”And I was like, ‘Oh, sh*t. Maybe I just need to try something different!’”

“…A few days later, I called the producer at SNL and was like, ‘Hey, do you have Pete’s number?’ And they were like, ‘Yeah,’” she said.

“I text him. I wasn’t even thinking like, ‘Oh my God, I’m gonna be in a relationship with him.’ I was just thinking, ‘Heard about this BDE , I need to get out there, I need to jumpstart my …’”

Kardashian added, “I was just basically DTF (down to f**k).”

Over the course of their relationship, the pair made headlines when Kardashian’s ex-husband, Kanye West, made several public threats against Davidson, resulting in a lengthy text message exchange between the two men, in which Davidson urged the rapper to “grow the f **k up”.

Daniel Ricciardo, sacked, Oscar Piastri, McLaren, Alpine, Mark Webber, contracts, driver market, silly season

McLaren has reportedly told Daniel Ricciardo he will be replaced by compatriot Oscar Piastri next season.

Multiple outlets including Autosport are reporting Piastri has signed a deal with the Woking outfit for 2023, initially as a reserve driver, but then in the race seat to partner with Lando Norris once Ricciardo’s exit is arranged.

Ricciardo is contracted for next year after signing a three-year deal to prompt his exit from Renault (now Alpine) in 2020.

RacingNews365 reported the FIA’s contract recognition board has validated Piastri’s deal with McLaren, allowing it to supersede the deal Alpine believed it had.

Ricciardo’s future in the sport has been the subject of intense speculation this year due to his ongoing struggles with his machinery, leaving a significant disparity between him and teammate Lando Norris.

Norris currently leads Ricciardo 76-19 in the drivers standings.

Publicly McLaren has been supportive of the Australian, with CEO Zak Brown telling Fox Sports last month that Ricciardo would see out his deal with the team, and last month Daniel took to social media to underline his determination to continue until the end of his contract next season.

However, behind closed doors the team has been negotiating a deal with Alpine reserve driver Piastri in a sign it had lost faith in Ricciardo’s ability to turn his season around.

The matter came to a head after the Hungarian Grand Prix when Fernando Alonso abruptly ended negotiations with Alpine in favor of an Aston Martin contract for next season. When Alpine attempted to draft in reserve driver Piastri in his place he found his Mark Webber-led management team to be unresponsive.

Piastri later took to social media to deny he would race for the French constructor next season, making clear that the rumors of a McLaren move were real.

It’s unclear whether Ricciardo would be seeking a drive at another team and, if so, which teams he would be interested in dealing with.

Alpine team boss Otmar Szafnauer said earlier this week that he “didn’t think [it would be] an issue at all” to hire Ricciardo in a straight swap with the defective Piastri despite the older Australian having abandoned the French team at the end of 2020.

ESPN has reported that as many as four teams have contacted Ricciardo in recent months to gauge his interest in a change of scenery should he choose to leave McLaren ahead of time.

It’s bittersweet news for Australian Formula 1 fans, with Ricciardo’s loss also meaning Piastri will finally get his full-time F1 promotion after a year on the sidelines as Alpine’s reserve driver.

Piastri is one of his generation’s foremost talents. The 21-year-old Melburnian has been racing for just five and a half years but boasts three titles on his resume, including crowns in Formula Renault Eurocup, Formula 3 and Formula 2 in consecutive years from 2019 to 2021.

Only George Russell and Charles Leclerc boast similarly decorated junior careers, with both winning GP3 and F2 championships in successive years.

He was inducted into the Renault, now Alpine, driver academy in 2020, accelerating his rise — too fast, in fact, for Alpine, which had no F1 seats available this year to promote him into.

He was forced into the reserve driver role this season, and the team intended to loan him to Williams for at least the next two years on the assumption Fernando Alonso would re-sign with the team.

It’s since transpired that Alpine failed to take up its option to renew Piastri’s contract before he became a free agent, which happened to coincide with Alonso’s sudden defection to Aston Martin, thereby freeing him to sign with McLaren.

Twitter Is Tweaking the Design of Spaces, Experimenting With New Features

Twitter has confirmed it’s currently experimenting with the design and features on offer to users of Spaces audio chat rooms.

Screenshots of an early test version, published by TechCrunch, suggest an updated concept which has yet to be finalized; Twitter noted that these images are “inaccurate and outdated,” representing “an initial version” of the new experience. However, a new look, personalized daily digest, and themed stations are teased in the shots.

The redesign looks set to reorganize the audio chat room into different topics, for example Music and Sports. Topics were launched last year for creators to tag their audio programs, but were limited. They could now become a core feature of the Spaces experience.

As to when we’ll get to see the “new” Spaces, an official announcement is expected “further down the road,” according to Twitter, but no time frame was given.

Twitter introduced Spaces to a “very small” feedback group in late 2020, inviting select members to join its experimental audio chat rooms. By the summer of 2021, Spaces was available to mobile and desktop accounts with over 600 followers, with the option to include co-hosts and charge for exclusive live audio experiences.

The Duchess of Sussex turned 41 today, with the Royal Family taking to social media to wish her a special day, The Sun reported.

Sharing a photo of Meghan on their social media channels, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge wrote: “Wishing a happy birthday to The Duchess of Sussex!”

Minutes later, Prince Charles and Camilla posted: “Happy birthday to The Duchess of Sussex!”

Both posts featured pictures of the duchess beaming in white as she marked the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee at St Paul’s Cathedral this year.

The day saw her and Prince Harry sat at the other side of the aisle from Kate and Wills, with the seating order determined by working royal status.

It marked the first time the couple were seen with The Firm since the frosty Commonwealth Service at Westminster Abbey in March 2020, shortly before they officially quit royal life.

They have since made a number of bombshell claims about the royals, with fears more could come in Harry’s upcoming tell-all book.

The couple made their latest UK trip with their children Archie, three, and Lilibet, one, from California – where it’s likely they’ll stay for Meghan’s birthday.

However it is not yet known how the family will celebrate, a year on from Meghan’s 40 X 40 campaign which she set up to mark her 40th.

The duchess asked A-listers including Adele and Stella McCartney, as well as members of the public, to donate 40 minutes of their time to “help women re-entering the workforce” for the project.

She promoted the initiative in a glitzy comedy video recorded at her home in exclusive Montecito.

A year on, there has still been no follow-up on the campaign, which also featured comedy star Melissa McCarthy.

Ioan Gruffudd obtains restraining order against Alice Evans: report

Ioan Gruffudd has reportedly been granted a three-year restraining order against estranged wife Alice Evans – amid claims she harassed him and his new girlfriend, Bianca Wallace, on social media.

“Ioan had no choice but to up his legal fight over Alice,” a source claimed to the Daily Mail in an article published Tuesday.

“She had become increasingly volatile and seemingly intent on destroying his career with her character assassination. He hopes this will put an end to it.”

Gruffudd, 48, was reportedly in attendance inside the Los Angeles court to witness the domestic violence restraining order granted, though Evans, 54, did not make an appearance.

According to the filing, Gruffudd claims Evans “has used her social media accounts to continue to harass, threaten, and disturb the peace of both me and my girlfriend, Bianca Wallace.”

Gruffudd requested that Evans not be allowed to post any harassing messages about him or his girlfriend to social media or to share any text messages between the two of them, his girlfriend or their kids. He also asked that Evans not contact his employer of him.

the Fantastic Four actor filed for the restraining order in February, seeking to bar Evans from contacting or coming within 100 yards of him and Wallace.

Gruffudd alleged at the time that Evans “repeatedly told me between August 2020 and our separation on January 1, 2021, that if I left her, she would make false public accusations about me, sell false stories about me to the press and destroy me and my career.”

He also claimed that Evans threatened to tell people he had “abused her and her daughters” and that she would “call the police on [him]” if he did not comply with her demands, according to the petitions.

The filing adds that Evans allegedly “threatened to write a fake diary that reflected an abused victim, and to have the diary published; and … threatened to destroy [his] mother.”

Gruffudd further alleged that Evans harassed him on social media and made “hundreds of harassing, abusive and threatening communications by text, voice message, [and] video message” and even sent “threatening emails” to his mum, Margaret Griffiths.

Evans vehemently denied the claims, saying that his complaint was “a ploy to gain some sort of advantage over me in our divorce proceedings.”

Gruffudd, who married Evans in 2007, filed for divorce in March 2021 after Evans claimed via Twitter in January of that year that the actor had abandoned their family.

“My beloved husband/soulmate of 20 years… has announced he is to leave his family, starting next week. Me and our young daughters… are very confused and sad. We haven’t been given a reason except that he ‘no longer loves me,’” she said at the time.

Gruffudd and Wallace then went Instagram-official in October 2021. Months later, in January 2022, Evans posted a scathing message about Wallace on social media.

“She wants to put a stake in my heart. I’ve never seen such a lack of empathy,” Evans said.

In February, Evans asked the court to grant her custody over their two children: Ella, 12, and Elsie, 8. Gruffudd hit back, claiming that Evans would make fun of his “saggy vagina eyes” in front of their children.

Peaty spoke to the BBC on the pooldeck after finishing outside the medals and said losing in the Commonwealth Games meant little to him after already scooping up three Olympic gold medals.

“It doesn’t feel amazing, but it doesn’t feel bad either,” Peaty said.

“That’s no disrespect. I’m still four weeks into my program, I can’t put that expectation on myself.”

Retired English swimmer Mark Foster responded to Peaty’s comments, saying: “I think he’s trying to say it doesn’t matter, but it does matter.

“It’s the Commonwealth Games, it’s a multi-sport event and I think when he was growing up, the Commonwealth Games would have been a big deal.

“But the fact that he’s won lots of Worlds and Olympic Games, maybe he’s trying to play it down to himself that it doesn’t matter.”

The Birmingham Mail reported fans on social media said Peaty’s comments were “arrogant” and “disrespectful”.

“Adam peaty is disrespectful to every other athlete at the Commonwealth Games Acting like he doesn’t care While all the other athletes are trying they best to win medals,” one Twitter user wrote.

Another posted: “Adam Peaty, I think you need to take a deep breath, have a word with yourself and take a look at the para swimmers. Used to really respect you and what you were trying to achieve but feel let down by tonight’s comments.”

World record-holder Peaty qualified second-fastest for the 50m breaststroke final, scheduled for Wednesday morning, behind Australia’s Sam Williamson.

After moving through to the end, Peaty appeared to apologize for his comments.

He wrote on Twitter: “Thankful for all the supportful messages I’m getting at the moment. It has been an incredibly hard time the past few months, but mostly the last few days.

“It’s heartbreaking,” Peaty said.

“I don’t see the point in doing something I wouldn’t do that well at, at the moment. We’ll see.

“I don’t know what went wrong. With 25m to go I had nothing in the tank. Maybe that’s overexposure on the foot. Sometimes you just have a bad race, I can’t pinpoint where I went wrong. There’s a lot of debriefing to do. I need a full reset now.

“It was a slow ending, I can’t remember the last time I went that slow. It just didn’t go right. Of course, I’m disappointed, but that’s what makes you go faster next time.

“I’ve kind of lost that spark, whether it’s with my foot, but I’ll be looking to find that over the next months and into the next two years.”

Travel chaos: Airline experts warn delays and cancellations will continue for months

An aviation expert has warned travel chaos “pain” could continue into next year as the industry struggles to meet soaring demand after stripping services during the pandemic.

Flight Center managing director Graham Turner cautioned travelers to be wary of delays and cancellations until at least the end of the year as airlines contend with inexperienced and ill staff.

“Bear in mind the aviation industry, and you know travel industry generally, has two-and-a-half years when we had to absolutely cut to the bone everything and now building that back up is quite difficult,” he said on Channel 9’s Today show.

Mr Turner admitted the aviation industry was experiencing a “tough period” and asked travelers to exercise “a bit of patience”.

The travel boss noted the chaos was more manageable for domestic travelers despite the mass cancellations and delays.

On Monday, 40 flights between Sydney and Melbourne were canceled and hundreds of people were left sitting on plans after a computer outage grounded Qantas plans.

“Domestically, our experience is although there are delays, a lot of changes, quite a few cancellations, generally most people are getting away and getting to their destination,” he said.

“It is a bit harder internationally because if you get international cancellations it can be quite hard to get seats.”

Mr Turner said there would continue to be “pain” for travelers for at least the next couple of months as the industry grapples with staffing issues and the effects of the ongoing pandemic.

Happily, he predicts, traveling around Australia will be much easier by the end of the year when “all of this really settles down”.

“Domestically, it will improve and we certainly predict by October/November, assuming the Omicron does settle down, it will be much better off,” he said.

While the news will surely be welcomed by local travellers, those looking to travel internationally have no reassuring timeline for when the dust will settle.

The bleak news comes as Australia’s airports gain international attention for all the wrong reasons.

Sydney’s Kingsford Smith International Airport was recently ranked one of the 10 worst airports in the world for flight delays.

Meanwhile, social media has been flooded with angry travelers reporting lost baggage, delayed or canceled flights and staggering queues.

Believe it or not, these are all things Robyn Lambird says strangers have said to them.

But they’ve embraced their profile as a Paralympian to shatter misconceptions and make their mark on and off the race track.

The beauty in disability and diversity

Lambird is a non-binary wheelchair racer from Perth, and made their Paralympic debut at Tokyo last year, winning a bronze medal in the T34 100m final.

Their immediate focus is the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham where they’ll contest the women’s T33/34 100m.

It will hold special significance for the England-born sprinter to compete in front of family members, including both sets of grandparents, for the first time.

The 25-year-old also competes in the national wheelchair rugby league, studies digital and social media at university, and has built an impressive following online as a content creator and activist.

Lambird’s Instagram account is full of engaging posts, educating, entertaining, and illuminating.

It ranges from fashion tips to training diaries, to important messages around queer pride and disability awareness.

Lambird has cerebral palsy, and one of the clear messages they want to get across is that disability isn’t a dirty word.

“I think on some level in our society, we still see disability as this inherently negative thing,” Lambird said.

“[The idea that] this tragedy happened to someone and that’s why we shy away from the word disabled, and all of these other euphemisms, differently abled.

“But, to me, the word disabled is a source of pride because I’m proud of who I am now. And everything that I’ve done in my life, I’ve done with my disability, not despite it.

“It’s not our bodies that make us disabled at the end of the day, it’s the opportunities that we don’t have or it’s because the world is not accessible to us.”

Lambird says it’s up to everyone to advocate for people with a disability.

“If you as an able-bodied person go into a cafe, and you realize that it’s inaccessible, maybe ask why that’s the case? Or what can be done to make that environment accessible?,” they said.

“And if you notice that there’s no disabled people in your workplace, maybe you should be questioning that, why isn’t there opportunities for people with disabilities to get into those spaces?”

Role model for queer community

Lambird is also passionate about standing up for the queer community, something which has taken more prominence since they became the first out non-binary athlete to win a Paralympic medal in Tokyo.

“I think afterwards, I realized how important that was… in terms of helping other people to feel welcome in the sporting environment and to know that they have a future in the sport, if that’s what they want, and that they can they can be themselves,” they said.

“That’s the thing that I really love about sport is it has this opportunity to bring people together to create this great sense of community.”

Lambird’s positive experiences in sport started in wheelchair rugby, which is a mixed gender sport.

They think it’s worth exploring whether more sports can follow its lead, to make it more inclusive for trans and gender diverse people.

“I just think everyone should have the opportunity to go to reap the benefits of sport, both mentally and physically,” they said.

“Sport has changed my life and has given me so many things, and I couldn’t imagine not being in the position that I am now.

“So I think we really just need to start sitting down and having conversations about how we can open that up to everyone and ensure that everyone feels like they have a place.”

There is no normal: finding a community online

Social media is an important part of Lambird’s life, giving them the opportunity to tell their own story, which is often overlooked by the mainstream media.

“Any media that focuses on disability and tries to accurately portray that experience is important, but the people that really know what it’s like to live with a disability and to navigate the world as a disabled person are disabled people.

“And having that opportunity to take control of that narrative, and to show what disability looks like for us, and what is our truth, it’s incredibly important.”

Lambird still has a long sporting career ahead of them, but they have an eye on the future as well, and their ability to create lasting change.

“I think I always just find the beauty in diversity. Diversity is one of the world’s greatest teachers, I think we can learn so much about the world and our place in it just by listening to others,” they said.

“I’ve been very lucky to find an amazing community online and on social media, people that are just trying to lift each other up regardless of their gender or sexuality or their disability.

“And I think it’s challenging that idea that, there is not normal.”

Lambbird will compete in the T33/34 women’s 100m at the Commonwealth Games on Wednesday August 3 AEST.

Inside Ash Barty's secret wedding to long-term love Garry Kissick

Ash Barty is notoriously secretive about her private life but pictures from her intimate Queensland wedding have pulled back the curtain.

The tennis great married her long-term love Garry Kissick in a private ceremony earlier this month, breaking the news on social media on Saturday night.

Captioned ‘Husband and wife’, the pair revealed little about the day they said ‘I do’.

Barty stunned in a Suzanne Harward-designed dress, whose gowns can cost upwards of $10,000.

The pair also tagged the Balter Brewing Company, suggesting the craft brewery provided refreshments for the evening.

Barty’s friends and family kept the news of the nuptials under wraps until the couple posted on social media.

Guests included Australian tennis stars Pat Rafter, Alicia Molik and Casey Dellacqua, according to the Courier Mail.

Kissick popped the question in November last year.

Barty revealed the happy news in an Instagram post, sharing a photo of the couple embracing with an engagement ring visible on her finger.

Barty has, for the most part, kept her relationship with Kissick relatively quiet.

The couple met at the Brookwater Golf Club in 2016. The sporting duo immediately clicked and went public with their relationship in 2017 when they attended the John Newcombe Awards together.

Kissick is an aspiring professional golfer, and works as the irrigation technician for the greens at the Brookwater Golf & Country Club in Brisbane.

The 29-year-old is a passionate Liverpool supporter and part of the PGA Trainee programme.
