Billionaire’s date night in Malibu: Jeff Bezos, 58, and partner Lauren Sanchez, 52, head for dinner

Jeff Bezos and girlfriend Lauren Sanchez dined in style at Rihanna’s favorite Los Angeles restaurant where a steak will set you back $50.

The Amazon founder, 58, who is worth more than $167 billion, donned a white shirt and gray trousers as ex-news anchor Sanchez, 52, sparkled in a flowery dress.

Her beige leather Gianvito Rossi heels cost a cool $680.

The pair held hands as they left Santa Monica’s Giorgio Baldi late last night.

A starter at the celebrated Italian restaurant, which opened in 1990, costs up to $40, while pastas are $25.

Rihanna has been spotted at the site dozens of times over the past decade – and has reportedly been a fan since she was just 18.

The Barbadian singer, 34, used to show up every Sunday just after 5pm, the New York Times reported.

Although staff at the restaurant often tell customers not to ask for pictures, Rihanna is happy to pose for snaps with elated members of the public, diners say.

The latest Bezos and Sanchez spotting comes days after the pair returned from a visit to London, where they ate at Soho’s Ham Yard Hotel.

Lauren looked youthful in a plunging olive green crop top, which she paired with nautical-style high-waisted white shorts.

She carried a pink crocodile Hermes Birkin bag that is worth around $105,000.

Long-term boyfriend Jeff looked casual in light-wash jeans, a navy polo T-shirt and matching padded vest, which he wore with sunglasses and a baseball cap.

The loved-up pair put on a very affectionate display as they left the hotel hand-in-hand, with Lauren happily grinning for the cameras as they made their way into a waiting car.

During their romantic London getaway, the couple enjoyed a private tour of Buckingham Palace as well as a slew of extravagant meals at the city’s best eateries.

It’s unclear when exactly the businessman first started dating Sanchez, but it’s thought they got together while he was still married to ex-wife Mackenzie Scott.

Their alleged affair was exposed by the National Enquirer in January 2019.

Soon later, the businessman split from his wife of over 25 years and the mother of his four children Scott.

Sanchez was also married when her relationship to Bezos was outed, and it was her husband – co-CEO of Hollywood powerhouse agency WME, Patrick Whitesell, 56 – who reportedly introduced the two lovers in the first place.

Bezos and Scott, 51, finalized their divorce in April 2019, the same month that Sanchez and Whitesell ended their marriage.

Bezos and Sanchez made their first public appearance together in May of that year, before jetting off to St Barts for a romantic getaway.

They made their red carpet debut as a couple in January 2020.

Bezos was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, but grew up in Houston, Texas, and then Miami, Florida. I graduated from Princeton University in 1986.

He launched Amazon in 1994, which began as an online book store. He first became a billionaire in 1998, and has since increased his fortune by 12,425 per cent.

Bezos now rakes in more than $140,000 per minute.

Steve Martin says he will no longer ‘seek’ acting work, suggests retirement

Hollywood veteran Steve Martin has said he’s “not going to seek” any more acting work, adding, “This is, weirdly, it.”

The 76-year-old US actor, who has been a mainstay in film and television for more than five decades, said retirement is on the cards after he wraps filming on the upcoming third season of his breakout Hulu series, Only Murders In The Building, co-starring Martin Short and Selena Gomez.

In an interview with The Hollywood ReporterMartin suggested it was becoming difficult to stay in the game at the back-end of his career.

“There’s a time in your career when people are dying to see you… Now is the time in my career when I’m the one who’s got to show up,” he said.

Martin added: “When this television show [Only Murders In The Building] is done, I’m not going to seek others. I’m not going to seek other movies. I don’t want to do cameos. This is, weirdly, it.”

Martin, who is nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor (Comedy) at this year’s awards for his work on the series, made his name in showbiz in the ’60s for his writing work on The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hourbefore becoming a host on Saturday night Live.

After retiring from stand-up comedy, Martin successfully transitioned to the big screen in the ’80s, going on to star in hit films including Three Amigos, Planes, Trains And Automobiles, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, LA Story, Father Of The Bride, Pink Panther and Cheaper By The Dozen.

Over the years he’s won five Grammys, an Emmy, and was awarded the Honorary Academy Award in 2013, meaning he only needs to win a Tony to achieve coveted EGOT status (where you have won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony).

Martin retreated from the public eye throughout the 2010s, in which he occasionally featured in various projects, before his resurgence in 2020 in Father Of The Bride, Part 3(ish) and 2021’s only murdererswhich he created alongside John Hoffman.

On the personal front, Martin became a father for the first time at the age of 67, welcoming a daughter, Mary, with his wife of 15 years, Anne Stringfield.

While he did suggest he’d reached the end of his career, Martin also didn’t close the door completely.

“My wife keeps saying, ‘You always say you’re going to retire and then you always come up with something’ … I’m really not interested in retiring. I’m not. But I would just work a little less. Maybe,” he added.

Jeff Bezos’ unfinished mega yacht towed away after threats of egging

Jeff Bezos’ unfinished mega yacht was towed away from a Dutch shipbuilding yard before dawn Tuesday just weeks after Rotterdam residents threatened to pelt the luxury vessel with eggs if the city went through with plans to dismantle a landmark bridge to make way for the $500 million ship .

The 417-foot long, three-masted yacht, which goes by the name Y721, was relocated from the Oceanco shipyard in Alblasserdam to the Greenport yard just 24 miles away in Rotterdam, according to the German-language daily Der Spiegel.

Video of the towing was posted to YouTube by Dutch yacht enthusiast Hanco Bol.

“We never saw a transport going that fast,” Bol writes of what he witnessed. It took less than three hours for the ship to travel southwest along the Noord canal even though it normally requires nearly twice as much time to traverse the route, according to Bol.

He speculates that Oceanco, the company that was commissioned to build the yacht, chose the timing of the move in order to keep it under wraps given the considerable publicity it has generated.

Rotterdammers who were furious about plans to dismantle “De Hef” bridge, also known as Koningshaven, had threatened to pelt the yacht with eggs if it made the journey.

Bol writes that the yacht’s route was designed to avoid traveling through the Rotterdam city center and underneath “De Hef” — even though it would have saved more time.

Oceanco last month announced that it had dropped its request for the Rotterdam city council to approve the temporary dismantling of the bridge.

The company had indicated that Bezos, the Amazon founder and second-richest person in the world, was willing to foot the bill for the removal of the middle section of the span so that the yacht would be able to sail through the Nieuwe Mass River.

Bol speculates that Oceanco intentionally avoided towing the unfinished yacht underneath “De Hef.”

“I think that was intentional,” he told Der Spiegel.

“When I was standing on one of the bridges, they shined a searchlight on me, so it wasn’t easy for me to take pictures.”

According to Dutch media reports, it will take several more months for the ship to be completed.

The Post has reached out to Amazon and Oceanco seeking comment.
