Kanye West, Kim Kardashian: Insta post mocks Pete Davidson saying ‘Skete is dead at 28’

Kim Kardashian is reportedly furious with Kanye West over a poor taste post on Instagram targeting Pete Davidson who the reality TV star had recently broken up with.

The rapper, 45, shared a screenshot of a fake newspaper front page with the headline “Skete Davidson dead at age 28” on Instagram on Monday, reported the US Sun.

West has now deleted the post, apparently following Kardashian’s intervention.

The photo was a mock-up of the New York Times and was dated Monday, August 8 2022.

West has been using the nickname “Skete” for Davidson, 28, for months.

West’s latest post comes just days after it was revealed that Davidson and Kardashian have split following nine months of dating.

The Kardashians star and former SNL funnyman have broken up, and decided to just be friends, E! News reported late last week.

A source said: “They have a lot of love and respect for each other but found that the long distance and their demanding schedules made it really difficult to maintain a relationship.”

An insider later claimed Kardashian broke up with Davidson because she was “totally exhausted” by his “immaturity” and their 13-year age gap.

The split occurred sometime last week, according to the site.

Kim ‘incredibly upset’ with West

But despite the break up Kardashian has come into bat for Davidson saying the Insta meme posted by West was “appalling”.

“Kim won’t stand for this. She is demanding that Kanye take the post down, but he won’t,” a source told the Daily Mail.

“She has been vigorously defending Pete. Ella she’ll never get back together with Kanye over the way he’s treated the people she loves and respects.

“She won’t stand for this type of behavior from him.”

the new york post had further details from Kardashian sources.

“Kim is livid and incredibly upset … Kanye is back to his old ways and Kim will not tolerate his bullying behavior towards the people she loves and cares about,” a source close to the SKIMS founder told the Post’s Page Six column.

The musician – who has four children with Kardashian. – repeatedly targeted Davidson on social media after he began dating Kardashian in October.

He called Davidson a “d**khead”, threatened to “beat his a**” and accused the actor of trying to “destroy” his family in various rants.

Davidson has been spending part of the summer in Australia working on his new movie, David Michôd’s comedy Wizards!

The split comes amid rumors that Kardashian and West have reconciled.

They have four kids together – North, nine, Saint, six, Chicago, four, and Psalm, three.

The SKIMS founder filed for divorce from the rapper in February 2021 after nearly seven years of marriage.

However, Kardashian has seemingly dropped several hints recently that the two may be back on.

Earlier this month, she wore white bikini bottoms, and a matching white top that says “The Incredibles.”

Fans pointed out that West once talked about his love for the Disney movie, The Incrediblesduring an interview on Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

Kardashian has also taken to wearing clothes from West’s label Yeezy again.

Just last week, she posed with her daughters North and Chicago while all three of them wore Yeezy sunglasses.

They rocked black leather outfits and matching silver oversized shades in the series of selfies and photos.

One wrote: “YEEZY SHADES I’M TELLING YOU THEY’RE BACK.”

Another added, “They were cute together though for real,” and a third posted: “Kimye is alive.”

Dad who lost wife and kids in horror crash has also died

The Illinois dad whose wife, four kids and young family friend were killed in a head-on highway crash has also died, making him the eighth fatality in the horrid weekend smash.

Thomas Dobosz, 32, was initially airlifted to a hospital in critical condition after the Chevrolet van he was driving smashed head-on with an Acura TSX that was heading the wrong way on Interstate 90 around 2 am Sunday, Illinois State Police said.

Both vehicles “became engulfed in flames,” killing the 22-year-old Acura driver, Jennifer Fernandez, as well as Dobosz’s wife and four kids, along with a 13-year-old family friend who was with them.

But the dad was also “subsequently pronounced deceased,” police said in an update Wednesday, confirming that all involved were now dead.

An online fundraiser that has collected more than $100,000 per Thursday also shared the news “with a heavy heart.”

“Tom has gained his angel wings and is now with his amazing wife Lauren and precious children,” the fundraiser said, asking for people to “keep this family in your prayers.”

Fernandez had been alone in the Acura at the time of the accident, which is still under investigation, cops said. It’s unclear why the Acura TSX was heading the wrong way.

She was pronounced dead at the scene along with all seven passengers in Dobosz’s van, police said.

The fundraiser identified them as his 31-year-old wife, Lauren Dobosz; their children, Ella, 5, Nicholas, 7, Lucas, 8, and Emma, 13; and the teen’s friend Katriona Koziara, who was also 13. The family, from suburban Chicago, had just started traveling to Minnesota for a vacation before the smash in rural Riley.

A separate fundraiser for Katriona said “she was in the prime of her youth and always seen with a smiling face and positive attitude.”

Highland Park shooting suspect pleads not guilty to over 100 felony counts, including murder and attempted murder

The man accused of killing seven people and wounding dozens more in a mass shooting at a Fourth of July parade in Highland Park, Illinois, pleaded not guilty on Wednesday. An attorney representing Robert Crimo III, the 21-year-old suspectsubmitted the plea one week after prosecutors announced that a grand jury had indicted him on 117 felony counts for the attack.

The suspect appeared for a brief hearing Wednesday in Lake County’s circuit court to enter a formal plea to the charges — 21 counts of first-degree murder, 48 counts of attempted murder and 48 counts of aggravated battery representing those killed and wounded during the parade in Highland Park, a suburb north of Chicago.

The suspect wore a COVID-19 face mask throughout the 10-minute arraignment and repeatedly told Judge Victoria Rossetti that he understood the charges and potential penalties he faces, including life imprisonment.

Lake County prosecutors in late July announced that a grand jury had indicted the suspect on the charges. The prosecutors had previously filed seven murder charges against the 21-year-old in the days following the shooting.

The multiple first-degree murder charges allege the suspect intended to kill, caused death or great bodily harm, and took action with a strong probability of causing death or great bodily harm to the seven people who died.

A representative for the county public defenders office, which is representing the suspect, has said the office does not comment publicly on any cases. An attorney with the office entered his not guilty plea during Wednesday’s court appearance.

Prosecutors have said the suspect admitted to the shooting eleven police arrested him following an extended search for the gunman who opened fire from the rooftop of a building along the parade route.

Authorities have reported that the ages of those wounded ranged from eight to more than 80 years old. An 8-year-old boy, Cooper Roberts, was one of the youngest victims and among the 38 people injured. He was paralyzed from the waist down when his spine was severed during the shooting. Cooper is now in a rehab-focused hospital.

A motive for the attack has yet to be determined.

In comments delivered after the hearing, Lake County State’s Attorney Eric Rinehart declined to say whether the suspect could face additional charges and said he would not comment on whether his parents could be charged.

Some in the community have questioned why the suspect’s parents apparently supported his interest in guns only months after he reportedly threatened suicide and violence.

George Gomez, an attorney representing the suspect’s parents, said Wednesday that they are not concerned that criminal charges could be filed against them. Both attended Wednesday’s hearing where they sat quietly behind their son.

Speaking with reporters afterward, Gomez described his clients as “devastated” and “heartbroken” for Highland Park and he said they are cooperating with authorities.

If convicted of killing at least two people, the suspect will face a mandatory life sentence, according to CBSChicago. Meanwhile, the attempted murder charges carry a maximum sentence of life in prison, and the aggravated battery charges each carry up to 30 years in prison.

The suspect is being held without bond and is expected back in court on Nov. 1, CBS Chicago reports.

Illinois Gov. declares state of emergency over monkeypox

Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker (D) on Monday declared a state of emergency over monkeypox in order to “expand the resources” needed to combat the current outbreak.

“The Monkeypox Virus is a rare, but potentially serious disease that requires the full mobilization of all available public health resources to prevent the spread,” Pritzker said in a statement.

“I am declaring a state of emergency to expand the resources and coordination efforts of state agencies in responding to, treating, and preventing the spread of MPV,” I added.

There are currently 5,000 monkeypox cases confirmed in the US, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Illinois currently ranks third in terms of cases — behind New York and California — with 520 confirmed cases.

Last week, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) declared a disaster emergency in the state in order to “respond more swiftly to the outbreak” of monkeypox. Some cities, including San Francisco and New York City, have also declared emergencies in response to monkeypox outbreaks.

The World Health Organization has already declared the outbreak of monkeypox in non-endemic countries to be a global health emergency.

Calls have grown for President Biden to declare a nationwide health emergency in the US over monkeypox, with a group of high-ranking members of Congress urging him to do so. Administration officials say the decision is still under consideration.

Local health authorities and public health experts have said that declaring a public health emergency would help coordinate the national monkeypox strategy and allow for data to be more easily shared between states and the federal government.

Greg Norman’s LIV Tour forces PGA Tour’s $590m prizemoney first

Faced with a growing challenge from the Saudi-backed LIV Golf Series, the US PGA Tour announced a 2022-23 season schedule on Monday offering a record $AUD590 million in prize money.

The PGA increased the prize money at eight invitational tournaments, with The Players Championship set to pay out $35m, and will offer $206m in bonus money, including $107m for the FedEx Cup playoffs, which will be trimmed to 70 players from the current 125.

The move comes as the LIV Golf Series — spearheaded by Aussie legend Greg Norman — has offered the highest purses in history to lure big-name talent from the PGA to its upstart tour, which is set to rise from eight events in 2022 to 14 in 2023.

LIV Golf has drawn protests and claims of “sportwashing” from critics citing Saudi human rights issues but such stars as Dustin Johnson, Phil Mickelson, Henrik Stenson, Bryson DeChambeau, Paul Casey and Patrick Reed have jumped to the rebel series that debuted in June.

The US PGA, which will return to a season that coincides with the calendar year starting in 2024, tightened its playoffs and boosted select purses after comments from fans, PGA commissioner Jay Monahan said.

“The overwhelming sentiment was they wanted more consequences for both the regular season and the playoffs and to further strengthen events that traditionally feature top players competing head-to-head,” Monahan said. “We feel strongly we’ve accomplished all of these objectives.”

The 2022-23 PGA season will have 47 tournaments, including three playoff events next August with a field of 70 at the St. Jude Championship in Memphis, 50 at the BMW Championship in Chicago and the top 30 in points advancing to the season-ending Tour Championship at East Lake in Atlanta.

After the season ends, late 2023 will feature events for those outside the top 70 to earn status for the 2024 PGA campaign plus a series of “international events” featuring the PGA top 50 in a limited field, no-cut format. No other details were revealed about those events.

The St. Jude and BMW will see a jump in prize money from $21 million to $28 million.

The January Tournament of Champions will see its purse rise from $12 million to $21 million next year. It will become the lead-off event of the PGA season when the schedule changes in 2024.

Four events will see prize money jump from $17 million to $28 million — the Genesis Invitational in February hosted by Tiger Woods, the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill in March, the Jack Nicklaus-hosted Memorial in June and the WGC Match Play in March.

Prize money will jump from $28 million to $35 million for The Players Championship in March.

The Scottish Open, Barbasol Championship and Barracuda Championship will remain co-sanctioned with the DP World Tour.

The 2022-23 campaign will begin on September 15-18 with the Fortinet Championship at Napa, California, with the Presidents Cup the following week at Quail Hollow.

The CJ Cup has been moved from South Korea to South Carolina and will be played in October with the Bermuda Championship the following week.

The Rocket Mortgage Classic, won Sunday by Tony Finau, will start June 29 next year while the 3M Open moves to the end of July.

We may never know who won the $1.3B Mega Millions jackpot

There’s a chance the identity of the winner of the $1.337 billion Mega Millions jackpot will never be known — thanks to an Illinois law allowing people who score more than $250,000 to keep their names secret.

The winning ticket to the mind-boggling fortune was sold at the Speedy Cafe Speedway gas station in Des Plaines, lottery officials have said.

No one has come forward yet to claim the massive prize — with lotto officials saying it’s not even clear whether the winner was an individual or pool.

Illinois is one of a few states that allow lotto winners the option of anonymity.

Some other states offer some form of lotto anonymity, including New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, North Dakota, Ohio, South Carolina, Texas and Wyoming, according to a list compiled by Fox News.

But in New York, winners should expect to be required to attend a public announcement or press event, according to the state lottery’s website.

“The New York Lottery is a government agency and Lottery prizes are public funds, so we owe it to all our players to disclose the names of winners,” the site says.

Still, lotto anonymity has gained momentum in recent years, including in New York, where a proposal was passed the state legislature in 2019 before being vetoed by then-Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

Cuomo’s 2019 veto message advised winners who wish to try to keep their identity hidden to create an LLC to collect the winnings on their behalf.

The winner of the all-time high ticket — for $1.537 billion, purchased in South Carolina in 2018 — has yet to be revealed.
