Although he’s navigated onscreen situations as dicey as being lost at sea with a tiger, Dev Patel recently faced a real-life incident straight out of a thriller. The actor and his friends reportedly intervened in a “violent altercation” outside of a convenience store in Adelaide, Australia on Monday night.

Per 7News Australia, the fight occurred just after 8:45 pm, and during the altercation a woman stabbed a man in the chest. Patel, who was last seen in David Lowery’s 2020 fantasy epic The Green Knighttook a page from the film’s chivalrous book and stepped in to prevent any further violence.

“Dev acted on his natural instinct to try and de-escalate the situation and break up the fight,” Patel’s representatives shared in a statement. “The group was thankfully successful in doing so and they remained on site to ensure that the police and eventually the ambulance arrived.”

After emergency services were called, 7News reports that the victim was treated for non-life-threatening industries, while the aggressor was arrested and charged with aggravated assault causing harm. She has been denied bail.

The statement from Patel’s reps continued on to stress that the actor is not a hero for stepping in, and hoped that the altercation is getting attention would bring attention to a larger issue.

“This specific incident highlights a larger systemic issue of marginalized members of society not being treated with the dignity and respect they deserve,” Patel’s reps concluded. “The hope is that the same level of media attention this story is receiving (solely because Dev, as a famous person, was involved) can be a catalyst for lawmakers to be compassionate in determining long-term solutions to help not only the individuals who were involved but the community at large.”

Australian cricketer Michael Clarke confirms new romance with Jasmine Stefanovic’s sister Jade Yarborough

Michael Clarke has gone Instagram official with his new romance with a loved-up display with Jasmine Stefanovic’s sister.

Just a week after rumors surfaced of the former Aussie cricketer’s relationship with Jade Yarborough, the couple have confirmed they’re an item.

And what better way to announce a new partner than on a romantic getaway in Italy?

Yarborough was reportedly introduced to Clarke through her brother-in-law, TV personality Karl Stefanovic, and jetted away to Europe together last week.

Overnight, Yarborough showed off pictures of the pair roaming the cobbled streets of Italy together, confirming the rumors by posing with Clarke’s arm draped around her.

The pair appear to be having a luxurious break, with Yarborough sharing footage of them taking in the scenery on a boat, taking in the sunset and showing off a stay in a flashy hotel in the capital.

“Romaaa Issa my viiibe,” she wrote to her 10,000 Instagram followers.

While Clarke has yet to post about his new love on his own page, he appeared smitten in the pics shared by Yarborough, smiling for the camera.

Yarborough appears to have her fashion designer sister’s creative streak, working as an interior designer and founding homewares business Merci Maison.

Her Instagram page displays her love for holidays in the sunshine and get togethers with her girlfriends.

Their new relationship comes eight months after Clarke’s on-off romance with PE Nation designer Pip Edwards ended.

Clarke and Edwards started dating after his high-profile divorce from Kyly Clarke in 2020 and the pair are said to have remained good friends despite their split.

“We went to palm beach last weekend with my sister, her husband and two kids and all of a sudden because we are having a family holiday with our daughter we are back together,” he said.

“Kyly and I have said it from day one, we have such a great friendship, and the fact we can do that for our daughter, I don’t think there’d be an ex-husband and wife that are not together that wouldn’t ‘t want that for their child.”

Prince Harry ‘iced out’ by Charles over contents of forthcoming memoir

Prince Harry has reportedly been “iced out” by his father, Prince Charles, over the contents of his memoir due out later this year.

Citing a “very good” royal source, expert Neil Sean said when Charles and Harry had a brief meeting in Windsor ahead of the Invictus Games in Holland, Harry “refused” to talk about what he’d written in the book.

It led Charles to allegedly “ice” his son and stop the meeting after just 10 minutes, The Express reported.

“We know that Prince Charles spent very little time with his son Prince Harry,” Sean said on his YouTube channel.

“Charles wanted to have a one-to-one chat but that ended up being a very brief meeting.

“According to a very good source, allegedly, Prince Harry refused to detail anything about his forthcoming memoir to Prince Charles.”

Sean said the move meant Charles would have “to wait and see like the rest of us”.

“The fact they are remaining so tight-lipped means there have to be some bombshells in the memoir,” Sean said.

“Charles then iced his younger son with a very short meeting.

“He wanted to have a mature, adult conversation about what the book will contain, and whether the royals should be concerned about anything.”

Prince Harry’s “intimate and heartfelt” memoir – reportedly set to capitalize on the Christmas market – has previously been described as the “final nail in the coffin” for his relationship with the Royal Family.

Harry announced the memoir to the world in July 2021, promising it would be “accurate and wholly truthful”.

“I’m writing this not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become,” the 36-year-old said in a statement.

“The manuscript has been finished and gone through all of the legal processes,” a publishing source told the Sun.

“It’s done and out of Harry’s hands. The publishing date has been pushed back once, but it is on track for the end of the year.”

The book could spell a permanent end to Harry and William’s relationship. Credit: Getty

Palace insiders, however, have reportedly spoken out about a “growing sense of shock and fury” within the firm about the upcoming book.

Royal sources have claimed Harry’s decision to pen a tell-all autobiography blindsided Prince Charles and ruined any remaining hope of a reconciliation.

“This is the no-going-back moment – the final nail in the coffin of the Royal Family’s relationship with Harry,” a “senior royal source” told Mail Online.

“The emotional turmoil as they wait over a year for publication is going to be torturous.”

Another source said: “Prince Charles didn’t know anything about it. This is really painful, it’s going to be difficult for him to take. The assumption is that he will take another kicking from Harry.”

Prince Harry has reportedly been ‘iced out’ by his father, Prince Charles, over the contents of his forthcoming memoir, which is due out later this year. Credit: Getty

“The real disappointing thing for Charles is that he used to get on with Harry so well, actually far better than William. He feels so let down by the whole thing.”

Insiders have also claimed that Harry’s book will spell the “end of any close relationship” with Prince William, who is said to have labeled Harry’s recent behavior as “shameful and tasteless”.

“Harry’s been going around to people saying he can’t remember his childhood and his mother that much. Now he’s going to write a book about it. How does that stack up? a source added.

“What’s really telling is even the relatives he remains closest to, like princesses Eugenie and Beatrice, are stunned by what he’s up to.”

Three-time Olympian and doctor Jana Pittman to enlist in Army Reserve following stint on Seven’s SAS Australia

Is there anything Olympian Jana Pittman can’t do?

If juggling six children while working as a doctor – during the pandemic mind you – wasn’t difficult enough, Pittmann wants to add another spinning plate.

“My goal is to join the Army Reserve,” Pittman told The Sunday Telegraph.

“I am halfway through that application, but I had the twins, so it has been delayed.”

The 39-year-old and her husband, Paul Gatward, announced the arrival of Willow and Quinlan in March last year, just months after her impressive stint on Seven’s SAS Australia.

After putting her mind and body on the line during the second season of the hit military-style show, it seems the real-life Wonder Woman has what it takes to join the military.

She said her decision was influenced by her brother, grandfather, brother-in-law and father-in-law are all veterans.

“We have a lot of family involved in the military,” she said.

“My brother was an ex-Afghan veteran, my grandfather was in the Army and my husband’s brother is in the Army, as is his father. Also my grandparents were Dutch and went through (Nazi occupation in) World War II.

“So we have seen first hand how the war can impact them when they come home. I have grown up with a lot of respect for veterans.”

Pittman’s brother Ryan was involved in the military for “several years” and did tours in Afghanistan.

The champion hurdler revealed it was her brother who inspired her to become involved with the Legacy Centenary Torch Relay, a six-month campaign that acknowledges veterans and families of veterans.

“This is my opportunity to thank the men and women who have represented our country,” she said.

“I think it is so wonderful they are getting 2000 people to hold the torch in various places around Australia.”

Pittman has already built a very impressive career.

She’s best known for her sporting prowess, having competed at three Olympics, been a two-time world champion in the 400m hurdles, and for her Gold medals at the 2002 and 2006 Commonwealth Games.

In 2019 she completed her medical degree and is now specializing in women’s health.

“I feel incredibly lucky to have a career after sport,” she admitted on SAS Australia.

“I know a lot of my friends have really struggled with it.

“Sport, for me, was almost an accident. I wanted to be a doctor from the age I could remember. I remember carrying a little doctor’s bag around that my granddad gave me, and it was full of all sorts of pretend instruments and stethoscopes and things. And so that was my goal.”

Commonwealth Games 2022: ‘Two champagne bottles down’ rugby 7s mum Rachelle Levi’s hilarious Sunrise chat

They’re calling her the new Dean Boxall.

Rachelle Levi — proud mum of sisters Teagan and Maddi who were part of Australia’s Commonwealth Games gold-medal winning women’s rugby 7s side — was “two champagne bottles down” and could not contain her excitement when she was interviewed by Sam Mac on Sunrise on Monday morning.

“Oh my god, I’ve been up all night and I’m the most excited mother in the whole world. I absolutely love my daughters and I love the Aussie girls, they are the best!” she said.

“Woohoo, two champagne bottles down already, yesss!” she excitedly told Mac, who responded: ”At the Olympics it was all about (swimming coach) Dean Boxall, right, as the most passionate supporter, well I see your Dean Boxall and I raise you Rachelle, over here. Are you ok?”

Dean Boxall became an instant social media hit for his reaction in the immediate aftermath of Ariarne Titmus’ victory over her American arch rival at the Olympics.

Throwing his head back and rattling the safety barrier in wild scenes he later explained he was paying homage to 1980s and 90s wrestling star The Ultimate Warrior, who he described as “my favourite”.

Nat Barr and David Koch were in stitches over Rachelle’s interview, with co-host Edwina Bartholomew questioning how her daughters might feel about their mother’s outing on national TV.

“Imagine winning a gold medal and waking up the next morning with messages ‘Your mum’s on TV, she’s had two bottles of champagne, she’s a riot!’”

Kate Middleton and Prince William ‘in conflict’ with Prince Andrew’s daughters

Prince William and Kate Middleton are reportedly at loggerheads with two other members of the royal family in the wake of a recent controversy.

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, the daughters of Prince Andrew, are reportedly furious that their father is now excluded from official royal events.

WATCH THE VIDEO ABOVE: Queen’s guard terrifies tourists

For more Royal Family related news and videos check out Royal Family >>

Prince Andrew’s fall from grace began in 2020 when his relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein came under the microscope.

After the royal gave a disastrous interview to the BBC denying that a teenage girl was “sex trafficked” to him on three occasions, he was gradually removed from high-profile public duties.

Prince Charles, Prince William and Kate are understood to be the royals most against any kind of reintegration of Prince Andrew back into public life.

That’s causing some anger from Prince Andrew’s daughters, according to royal commentator Neil Sean.

“There is a big story in the royal family that has remained largely under the radar, and it’s to do with Prince William, the Duchess of Cambridge, and William’s father Prince Charles,” Sean recently told The Express.

“According to very good sources, Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice are seemingly struggling to remain cordial with Prince William, Catherine, and Charles.

“It stems from the deal organized by William, the Queen, and Prince Charles to remove their father Prince Andrew from royal duties following his disgrace in recent years.”

Sean said the “thawing” between the two families in the past two years had been difficult.

“Prince William and Charles are doing this for the benefit of the monarchy,” he said.

“They are reading the public mood, which is saying that Andrew should permanently retire from public life.

“But Andrew wants to make a return which he thinks could be achieved by his daughters carrying out charitable work.”

Sean said when Prince Charles takes the throne, any kind of reinstatement of Prince Andrew would be highly unlikely.

Things could get even more complicated because Princess Beatrice and Eugenie have remained on good terms with Prince Harry and Meghan, while relations between the latter two and William and Kate have definitely cooled.

It’s understood Prince Charles desires a “slimmed down” monarchy that would not include official royal roles for Beatrice and Eugenie, let alone their father.

It was recently revealed that Princess Beatrice attended her father’s “train wreck” BBC interview in 2019.

The BBC producer who secured the interview, Sam McAlister, said she was taken back that the Princess wanted to be there as her father was grilled.

“Imagine speaking about the things we had to talk about in that tiny room, face-to-face with her father who is accused of those heinous acts,” McAlister said.

“To be frank, the only thing worse than speaking to a prospective interviewee about allegations of sexual impropriety and sex with a 17-year-old girl is having to do so in front of his daughter,” she wrote in her book Scoops: Behind The Scenes Of The BBC’s Most Shocking Interviews.

“Princess Beatrice was polite and engaged, but, unlike her father, she was obviously anxious about the meeting and clearly there to protect his interests.”
