The White Lotus has a premiere window for its highly-anticipated second season.
Variety has revealed that the HBO series will be back for a second run beginning in October, one month after the Primetime Emmy Awards, in which the first season is nominated in 20 different categories.
The publication also has an exclusive first-look image of Jennifer Coolidge, the only returning cast member from season 1 (beyond a guest appearance from Jon Gries), dressed all in pink and rocking a scarf around her head.

Coolidge recently appeared on The Jess Cagle Show on SiriusXM where she revealed that filming recently wrapped in Italy, stating: “It’s finished, but that was a long shoot. Everyone survived and especially, like, Mike White, you know, like he survived it. Can’t believe it.”
The actress stated that she’d love to reveal more about the upcoming season, but she knows she’d get in trouble for it.

The White Lotus will return in October for its second season. Season 1 airs on HBO Max or HBO Go in the US, while viewers in the UK can watch it on Sky Atlantic, Sky Go and NOW.

Married At First Sight groom Jack Millar’s relationship with new girlfriend Courtney Stubbs is going from strength-to-strength.
The couple looked loved-up while walking through the backstreets of Surry Hills, Sydney, on their way to the vet on Friday.
Arm-in-arm, the pair were all smiles as Jack’s little dog scurried alongside them.

A few days ago, I visited a local pub with a girlfriend, and standing at the bar together we ordered two glasses of wine.
The bartender promptly placed two stemless glasses on the counter and began pouring.
“Sorry but do you have glasses with stems?” I asked.
Instantly his demeanor soured and after finding a boringly old-fashioned wine glass, he filled it up with an exaggerated look of disdain.
“Oh, I don’t want to be precious, but I have prosthetic hands and there’s no way I could pick up that glass without smashing it,” I said.
My girlfriend and I casually laughed at the situation before the necessary apologies began rolling in.
Perhaps I should have stated it up front and saved everyone from the whole judgment-turned-apology exercise, but the situation was a fast-paced transaction with no room for explanations.
But life is full of fast-paced exchanges between strangers. And in the split seconds we have to process what is going on, we humans seem to regularly squeeze in enormous amounts of expectation, judgment and criticism.
So why has our community become so uncomfortable with the unexpected?
I have used prosthetic hands every day since my amputations nine years ago.
They are quite amazing gadgets. Able to open and close and with their skin-coloured cosmetic covers, they look just like real hands. Nail polish and all.
With them I can drive a car by simply grabbing a knob bolted onto my steering wheel and turning off the hand’s electric motor.
I can also hold a pen, sign my name and write. Amazingly my handwriting even looks exactly the same as it did before my amputations.
My robotic hands allow me to ride a bike, chop veggies and even paint.
But although they are life changing for a double arm amputee like me, my robotic hands are limiting in ways you wouldn’t always expect.
Simply buttering toast a slight twist of the wrist and even though these hands will easily require holding a knife, the wrist is static, so no warm toast for me when I’m home alone.
Also, my mobile phone doesn’t recognize the fingertips, so I need to use my nose or tongue to make calls and send messages.
But when I meet people for the first time, no one expects you to have robotic limbs. This always makes the introductory handshake loads of fun.
In the early days I would offer my cold, hard plastic hand without any explanation. Some people managed to keep a straight face and amazingly they would not let out a peep of acknowledgment.
But most would be startled and immediately apologise, often saying “Oh I’m sorry, I had no idea.”
I have learned over the years that this uncomfortable exchange seems to only rattle people.
So now I always stop and say, “Hang on a sec, I have prosthetic hands and I need to make sure I don’t hurt you.” Then I close my hand before shaking theirs.
I do this for two reasons.
Firstly, they have a strength of 26 kilos, and it is incredibly painful if I accidentally squeeze your hand. It’s a lesson I learned early on as I watched an elderly man’s face wince in pain.
Secondly, it gives them a chance to process the idea before they are presented with something they were not expecting.
That way there is no apology needed and we can all simply introduce ourselves and move on.

But it’s been interesting to see how people are reacting to the various additional accommodations that I’ve been asking for recently.
For example, finger food. Not a food group designed to be eaten with robotic fingers.
A few weeks ago, I attended a function at a local club and when the chef brought out the finger food to the table and inquired if we needed anything else. I asked to borrow a fork.
“What kind of forks?” I have asked.
“Just a regular fork would be great,” I said.
He returned with a bowl of cake forks and handing them over said, “It is finger food, normally you’d just use your fingers.” And yes, I have tut-tutted as he went.
Certainly, he is quite right and although no one wants to be too difficult, if I used my fingers, I would be picking sushi out from between my fingertips for the next few days.
“Sorry but I have prosthetic hands and I can’t do finger food.”
“Oh God, I’m so sorry.” And sure enough, he continued apologizing for most of the night.
Perhaps as a community, we could all try harder when we come across others that don’t fit the mould.
Instead of being surprised, we could focus on the ways we can accommodate them and their varying abilities. That way all of us might experience the true charms of our humanity, in all its tiny and joyous nuances.
And then perhaps when you meet someone like me the moment won’t require an immediate apology.

The couple, who left the show officially as boyfriend and girlfriend, had also told each other they were falling in love during a cute picnic date.

“He flew down to Melbourne, I flew up to Sydney… he met my family, I met his family and then I took off overseas to Europe for a couple months,” Tara told 9Entertianment.
Michael ended up meeting Tara overseas and the pair traveled around Europe together. When they got back, Michael decided to make the big move to Melbourne from Sydney.
“It’s been fantastic. We thought we already knew each other so well from everything we went through on the show, but we’ve learned so much more about each other afterwards,” Michael said.
The pair also share the house with their co-stars Alex and Sam.

Before the lovebirds were eliminated from the show, they confessed to each other they could see themselves falling in love, and it wasn’t long after filming that they actually dropped the L-bomb.
“We said we love each other just after we finished filming,” Tara revealed.
“I thought I was already fully in love, but every single day I fall more and more in love [with Michael]. It feels like the most genuine relationship and the most genuine connection I’ve ever experienced.”

Michael was “immediately smitten” by the Beauty who ticked all his boxes from the moment he met her, but he wasn’t expecting to find love on the show.
“I came onto the experience just expecting to have a really good time and to learn from someone that I wouldn’t really understand. And instead, I met someone that just makes so much sense to me,” he said.

“The show allowed us to experience a lifetime of things together in such a short time, and since then we’ve only fallen more in love with each other,” the pair wrote alongside a series of loved-up snaps.

“You two are just perfect! 🥰 I love you guys so much,” Tegan wrote.

Renée Zellweger defended natural aging in a new interview with The Sunday Times this week.
The 53-year-old two-time Academy Award–winner shared that she had had a revelation after turning 50 a few years ago.
In her interview, she criticized ‘anti-aging’ cosmetic products for messages to consumers ‘telling us we don’t need to look our real age.’

Zellweger may have shocked some readers when she admitted that she couldn’t wait to turn 50, which she saw as an improvement over her 20s.
‘Turning 50 felt like a whole new beginning without the nonsense, the point where you can stop listening to all those voices in your head and all those expectations and projections people have of you and become more authentically yourself,’ she admitted.
‘Like, good luck all you suckers out there because you’ve got to survive a lot to get to my age, and I’ve earned my power and voice.’
But the conversation turned to the actress’ appearance, particularly circa the mid-2010s, when she was rumored to have had cosmetic surgery that changed the appearance of her famously squinty eyes.

In a Huffington Post op-ed from 2016, she appeared to deny having had surgery to change the appearance of her eyes, though the wording was vague enough to leave some wiggle room.
But now Zellweger is fed up with cosmetic products that are advertised in a manner to convince people that they need to look younger than their true age.
‘All those ads telling us we don’t need to look our real age if we just buy all their creams and their fixes and all that garbage they want to sell us?’ she mused to The Sunday Times. ‘I’m like, what, you’re saying I’m not valuable any more because I’m 53? Is that what you’re saying? There is a big difference between being your absolute best, most vibrant self and wanting to be what you’re not.
‘To be vibrant and beautiful you must embrace your age, otherwise you are living apologetically and to me that’s not beautiful at all,’ she added.

Whether or not The Jerry Maguire star made changes to her appearance years ago, she has returned to her more recognizable look since then and had renewed critical and commercial success after winning her second Academy Award for her Judy Garland biopic Judy.
Elsewhere in her interview, Zellweger opened up about a six-year stint starting in 2010 when she stepped away from Hollywood.
‘I guess I reached a point where I had to play a different game,’ she explained. ‘I don’t know if it was because it was a heightened experience for me being a woman of that age or because back then cinema was so culturally important, the center, in a way, of everyone’s consciousness. But it felt pretty chaotic.’
The actress, who has lately been dating British TV presenter Ant Anstead, mentioned that she tries to steer clear of the public’s interest in their relationship.
