Bullet Train: Brad Pitt keeps list of actors he’s worked with

Actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson says his co-star Brad Pitt has a “good” list and “s***” list of actors he will and won’t work with.

The pair star together in Bullet Train, helmed by John Wick and Deadpool 2 director David Leitch.

Promoting his latest onscreen venture at Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland, the actor dished on what working with Pitt was like, Page Six reported.

Referring to Pitt as a “humble and gracious human being”, the actor told Variety: “He is in a new chapter of his life, I think.”

Taylor-Johnson, who has previously starred in action movies like Kick-Ass and Avengers: Age of Ultron continued: “He just wants to bring light and joy into the world and be around people who are there to have a good time.

“You work with many actors and after a while, you start making notes: ‘I am definitely not working with this person ever again.’ Brad has this list too: the ‘good’ list and the ‘s***’ list.”

A fight scene from the film – which was released in the US on Friday – between the two stars left Taylor-Johnson hospitalized after he sustained major injuries on set.

After implementing a “crazy mad Keto diet” in an effort to get “scrawny and lean” for the film, the actor fainted due to “low blood sugar levels” shortly after sustaining a hand injury.

“We were in a fight sequence and I got drop-kicked across the room. And the one sharp bit of the corner where there wasn’t any padding took a chunk out of my hand. I literally went wham, passed out,” he told Variety of the incident.

“Then I came back and was like ‘Should we go again?’ and they were like ‘No, no, no. You gotta go get stitches at the hospital.’ So then I spent the night in the hospital,” he added.

“When you sign up for a David Leitch movie you know you gotta get a couple battle scars, some war wounds,” he added.

The former politician slipped on a pair of black stockings, simple black pumps and completed the head-to-toe black look with a clutch adorned with silver chain detail.

Ms Bishop received a string of adoring comments when she posted photos of her look to her Instagram account.

Pip Edwards of Aussie activewear brand PE Nation wrote, “You stunner.”

“Va va va Voom!!,” Sunrise entertainment reporter Nelson Aspen commented.

One spot-on Instagram user compared Ms Bishop’s look to that of the late Princess Diana’s infamous ‘revenge’ dress which she wore at her first public event following her headline-making split from Prince Charles.

“Is that like Diana’s revenge dress?,” they said.

The skin tight mini black number certainly looked similar to the Christina Stambolian cocktail dress worn by the British princess.

It’s even more fitting given Ms Bishops very public split from long-time boyfriend David Panton who reportedly dumped her over dinner in July ending their eight-year relationship.

“I’m very busy,” Bishop told Confidential of her newly single life.

Just this month, Bishop hosted a Q&A with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy attended by university students from across Australia.

Ms Bishop also showed off a return to her iconic close-cropped blonde look after many months of growing out her hair post-politics.

“Ooo has she gone short hair again! I love her with short hair,” One fan, @amysuart commented below the photo.

Bishop told Confidential she rushed to the salon just hours before the event.

“It’s a post-Covid recovery haircut,” Bishop said.

“After we went into lockdown I let my hair grow and then it became so easy but I managed to get an appointment with Scott Sloan, whom I have a great deal of respect for, and he cut my hair so I’m feeling great. ”

Olivia Newton-John’s husband John Easterling posts Instagram tribute to Grease star

Olivia Newton-John’s husband has posted a tribute to the “most courageous woman” he has ever known, following the death of the Australian singer and Grease star earlier this week.

John Easterling announced on Tuesday that Newton-John passed away at the age of 73 at her ranch in California “surrounded by family and friends” after a battle with breast cancer.

On Thursday, Australian time, Mr Easterling reflected on his love with Newton-John on a post on the actor’s official Instagram.

“Our love for each other transcends our understanding,” the American businessman wrote.

“Every day we expressed our gratitude for this love that could be so deep, so real, so natural. We never had to ‘work’ on it. We were in awe of this great mystery and accepted the experience of our love as past, present and forever.”

Mr Easterling is the founder of the American Herb Company, and spent years in the Amazon rainforest studying plants with potential health benefits.

Newton-John was 58 when she started dating Mr Easterling in 2006, a year after the death of her former boyfriend Patrick McDermott disappeared at sea.

They married two years later.

She was formerly married from 1984 to 1995 to Matt Lattanzi, with whom she shared a daughter, Chloe.

In the post, Mr Easterling said his wife was generous and spirited, with a passion for life.

“At Olivia’s deepest essence she was a healer using her mediums of song, of words, of touch,” he wrote.

“She was the most courageous woman I’ve ever known.

“Her bandwidth for genuinely caring for people, for nature and all creatures almost eclipses what is humanely possible. It is only the grace of God that has allowed me to share the depth and passion of her being for so long.

“In her most difficult times she always had the spirit, the humor, and the will power to move things into the light.

“Even now as her soul soars, the pain and holes in my heart are healed with the joy of her love and the light that shines forward.

“Our family deeply appreciates the vast ocean of love and support that has come our way.”

Newton-John’s niece, Totti Goldsmith, told Channel 9 on Wednesday that the British-Australian actor would be buried in California.

She the family intended to accept a state memorial if the Victorian government offered one.

Celeste Mountjoy: the 10 funniest things I have ever seen (on the internet) | comedy

Mand dad got dial-up internet in 2005 and it rocked my world. No longer would I have to spend my afternoons doing normal kid things, I could now spend quality time with my cool, very age-appropriate internet boyfriends in the dark shadows of the world wide webs. Not only that, but the era of viral videos was on the come up and I was there for the ride.

I have been shaped by the internet, I have grown beside the internet. It feels like a disgusting and very smart sibling, who I have a love/hate relationship with. I was asked to curate a list of my top 10 internet favorites and these are the first 10 that came to mind… I hope you enjoy them.

1. Snoop Dogg and Paris Hilton rap together

My favorite celebrity collab! I love when two worlds collide to create something that makes you wonder, “Should this have been created?” Sweet P and the DO Double GY!

2. Fabio and the goose incident

I have a complicated relationship with birds. That’s something that Fabio and I have in common, as well as being graceful blondes with immaculate physiques. Fabio had a traumatic run-in with a goose in 1999, during a ride on a rollercoaster, surrounded by beautiful women.

Something that I love about this video is that we never see the incident itself take place, only the aftermath. Goose blood smeared across his face from him, he keeps his composure as the beautiful women ask him if he’s OK. Fabio refers to the event as “a miracle, but not a freak accident” and warns that it will happen again, even calling for the rollercoaster to be shut down. (Definitely not because he’s a little bit embarrassed.) A true man of the people.

3. Kim Cattrall scatting

I love when someone starts passionately scatting with reckless abandon to the twang of a lover’s upright bass. Kim Cattrall is the scatter in question? Say less!

4.Recess Therapy

Recess Therapy is an Instagram account that interviews kids in New York City about various topics. I’m not a huge fan of kids generally, but I love these kids a lot. Here’s a clip from my favorite episode. If I could birth a kid half as funny as Kiki I might think about having a kid.

5. Let there be a thousand blossoms bloom

The 2017 marriage equality plebiscite is up there with one of the most ridiculous things the Australian government ever decided was an alright idea – but out of it we got this completely unhinged clip of Bob Katter that I can quote word for word to this day. I don’t have much in common with Katter but we do share the belief that a thousand blossoms should be able to bloom.

6. Kermit sings Once in a Lifetime by Talking Heads

One of my favorite songs, covered by my favorite frog.

7. Reducer

This is one of the funniest pages on Instagram. I almost exclusively communicate with my friends through these images. They always hit right. To call them memes would be a disservice – it’s the unwell gals’ favorite news source.

8. Nina Simone’s story about trying to kill a guy

Nina Simone is hands down one of the most powerful and unique artists of all time. This is a clip from an old interview with the BBC where she spoke about attempting to kill the owner of a record label after he stole from her. She does not have any remorse, and she wipes a tear away after laughing about it; I always laugh along with her. Imagine being that cool.

9. Schwan Attacken

Back to my relationship with birds: I went through a real rough patch when I found out swans have teeth. I was in Berlin at the time and noticed that the birds were more aggressive than others I’d met. I think that really colored my experience of Berlin – the fear of not getting let into Berghain, and the fear of a bird attack at any moment. Anyway, I came across a German Schwan Attacken channel which I would often lie in bed watching. I guess it was some kind of obsessive exposure therapy. However, I still live in fear of the beak, and I never got into Berghain.

10. Jeff Goldblum as the Big Bad Wolf

Jeff Goldblum as the Big Bad Wolf in the 1980s production Faerie Tale Theatre. The smooth jazz and the wolf prosthetics that actually just make him look like a huge rat man always do it for me. “A coward… I like that in a man.”

Armie Hammer: Alleged victims come forward in House of Hammer trailer

Armie Hammer’s alleged victims have come forward in the first trailer for a new documentary series.

Following a series of scandals, the film star is reportedly “totally broke” and selling timeshare properties from an office cubicle in the Cayman Islands.

The first trailer of House of Hammer, released on Wednesday by the US network Discovery, includes footage of two of Hammer’s exes, Courtney Vucekovich and Julia Morrison, coming forward to detail their claimed harrowing experiences and include screenshots of messages and voice notes the Social network star allegedly sent them, reported the new york post.

“I have a fantasy about having someone prove their love and devotion and tying them up in a public place at night and making their body free use,” one alleged message from Hammer says.

Another voice memo, purportedly sent by Hammer, employs more violent imagery.

“My bet was going to involve showing up at your place and completely tying you up and incapacitating you and being able to do whatever I wanted to every single hole in your body until I was done with you,” the memo says.

The three-part series also features Hammer’s aunt Casey Hammer, who is the granddaughter of Armand Hammer, the businessman who made the family fortune in the oil business.

“I’m about to reveal the dark, twisted secrets of the Hammer family,” Casey says in the trailer.

the Call Me By Your Name star, 35, has called all of the allegations of sexual misconduct and abuse “bulls – t,” while his lawyer, Andrew Brettler, has denied any wrongdoing.

“From day one, Mr Hammer has maintained that all of his interactions with” every sexual partner “have been completely consensual, discussed and agreed upon in advance, and mutually participatory,” Brettler told the new york post‘s Page Six in a statement.

Armie, who has been living in the Cayman Islands near estranged wife Elizabeth Chambers and their two children, spent six months in a Florida rehab center, which was paid for by Robert Downey Jr.

House of Hammer premieres in September in the US. It’s not clear when it will be available in Australia.

Issey Miyake, famous Japanese fashion designer, dies aged 84 | fashion

The Japanese fashion designer Issey Miyake, renowned for his innovative pleated clothing and for producing 100 mock turtlenecks for the Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, has died of liver cancer in a hospital in Tokyo. He was 84.

The Issey Miyake Group released a short statement about his work saying: “Miyake’s dynamic spirit was driven by a relentless curiosity and desire to convey joy through the medium of design.” It stated that “as per Mr Miyake’s wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service”.

Much like Andy Warhol, Miyake was interested in the overlap between art and design, and fashion. Throughout his 52-year career, the designer maintained an “anti-trend” stance, always referring to his designs as “clothing” rather than “fashion”.

“I am most interested in people and the human form,” Miyake told the New York Times in 2014. “Clothing is the closest thing to all humans.”

Perhaps best known for designing the polyester-cotton mock turtlenecks indelibly linked with Steve Jobs, it is believed he produced 100 at less than $200 each. Designed to alleviate “decision fatigue”, along with Jobs’ Levi’s 501s and New Balance 991s, the tops became shorthand for late 90s Silicon Valley uniform, based on the idea that busy people’s minds are on more important things than picking out ties.

Born in Hiroshima in 1938, Miyake studied graphic design at the Tama Art University in Tokyo. But piqued by the crossover between disciplines, he pivoted to fashion and moved to Paris to become an apprentice to Guy Laroche and eventually work for Hubert de Givenchy around the time Audrey Hepburn was wearing his dresses by him.

After witnessing the 1968 student protests, Miyake became disenchanted by an industry designed to dress only the wealthy. It was this interest in fashion as art and function, democratic but aesthetically pleasing, which led him to establish the Miyake Design Studio in 1970, and show his first very wearable collection in New York in 1971. One of his earliest pieces was a jersey body , hand-painted using traditional Japanese tattoo techniques.

A keen sportsman, function became the lynchpin of Miyake’s work. His most famous and most affordable clothes from him, the Pleats Please line, was launched in 1993 as a retort to the price and unwearability of high-end fashion.

Featuring capes and trousers, and flowing sleeveless tabards made from heat-treated polyester to create permanent pleats, the clothes never creased, could be machine washed and be rolled instead of folded. The line remains one of the first and best examples of gender-free clothing and still fetches hundreds of pounds on resale sites.

It was Miyake’s cynicism about the fashion industry, in particular the speed at which it was produced, that gave his designs such longevity in reputation and design. In an interview with the Village Voice in 1983, Miyake outlined his opposition to the fashion cycle: “I want my customer to be able to wear a sweater I designed 10 years ago with this year’s pants.”

Mikyake saw technology as a solution to the problem of overproduction, with one such solution the late 90’s “One Piece of Cloth” idea (later known as A-POC) which pioneered the idea of making clothes out of a single tube of fabric, cutting down and waste and showing exactly what could be done with a knitting machine, a computer and the right knowhow.

Many of his designs are in museums, including the Museum of Modern Art’s permanent collection. In 2010, he received the Order of Culture in 2010 and in 2016 he was decorated as a Commandeur de l’Ordre National de la Légion d’honneur.

Loth to give interviews, Miyake had a pronounced limp – a result of surviving the 1945 atomic bomb dropped on his home town of Hiroshima when he was seven. Three years later, his mother died of radiation exposure.

In a rare 2009 op-ed for the New York Times, Miyake recounted just how much that day, and his mother’s subsequent death, informed his creativity. “I have tried, albeit unsuccessfully, to put them behind me, preferring to think of things that can be created, not destroyed, and that bring beauty and joy. I gravitated toward the field of clothing design, partly because it is a creative format that is modern and optimistic.

“I did not want to be labeled ‘the designer who survived the atomic bomb’.”

An $18 million trail of financial misery has been uncovered in relation to former bankrupt Robert Tidy including a string of his failed business ventures.

Tidy’s lifestyle resembles that of a billionaire, with first class flights and luxury hotels all posted to social media.

But he now has an even larger number of burnt investors wanting their money returned after his latest venture called Zipett, also collapsed this week.

“Guys, it’s with the heaviest of hearts I must be honest and update you all with news from overseas,” he wrote in an email to investors informing them the latest Zipett project has “ended for now.”

This development comes just over two weeks after A Current Affair first raised question marks over Tidy’s abysmal financial history which resulted in him filing for bankruptcy three times.

A statement of affairs for his 2007 bankruptcy reveals $5.1 million in unpaid debts to 28 creditors, the largest being his father the late Colin Tidy, a well-known Sydney bookmaker.

His bankruptcy in 2018 contained $7.9 million owing including almost $1 million to the Australian Tax Office.

But Tidy shouldn’t be punting in this country at all, he’d been disqualified from betting with any Australian wagering operator since 1997 due to “defaulting” on bets.

A Current Affair has also obtained videos and pictures distributed by Tidy among his investor group showing 179 bets worth $168,000 in a single day.

A former staffer of Tidy’s who requested their be concealed, said they witnessed him gambling at Townsville Casino whilst bankrupt.

“So we’re probably talking $5000-$10,000 at casinos on the pokies.”

The former staffer also said they doubt ten per cent of profits from some of his various ventures are given to charity, as Tidy claims.

“I’ve never seen a cent go to a charity and I don’t believe there’s ever been a cent go to charity.”

When A Current Affair confronted Tidy at a Sydney hotel last month, he claimed to have donated “easily over $300,000” and named Youth Off The Streets as a recipient of “maybe $100,000”.

Father Chris Riley told A Current Affair “there is no indication” anyone named Robert Tidy “has ever donated to Youth Off The Streets.”

Tidy provided a 25 year-old note indicating he did once pay for children and staff from the charity to attend a State of Origin game, all the way back in 1997.

An $18 million trail of financial misery has been uncovered in relation to former bankrupt Robert Tidy including a string of his failed business ventures.
A statement of affairs for Tidy’s 2007 bankruptcy reveals $5.1 million in unpaid debts to 28 creditors, the largest being his father the late Colin Tidy, a well-known Sydney bookmaker. (Nine)

Hercules and Buckley claim they were not aware of Tidy’s questionable financial history or the extent of his gambling sprees until after they had invested

The Sunshine Coast couple were taken out on fishing trips by Tidy and also wined and dined at expensive restaurants, even celebrating his birthday with him.

“He said that we were his family that he never had,” Buckley said.

They claim Tidy eventually started offering investment information, suggesting it would be better to sell some shares and invest with him “because the money would be a lot safer with him.”

When the project eventually collapsed, Tidy explained in an email that they knew the investment “was going to be HIGHLY AGGRESSIVE.”

Hercules claims he told her it would be “minimal risk” and wouldn’t have invested had she known it was highly aggressive.

Tidy answered a series of questions via email, claiming he “did not say there was no risk” in relation to Hercules’ investment.

He also stated his bankruptcy trustee was informed of his gambling, which involved bets placed for other people.

He admitted to gambling at Townsville casino while bankrupt which he claims his trustee approved.

Olivia Newton-John secretly visited grieving, injured Perth girl in Princess Margaret Hospital

Olivia Newton-John’s selfless attitude can be best described in a secret hospital visit to a grieving and badly hurt girl in a Perth hospital in 2003.

Emily Barker was just 11 and in critical condition in Princess Margaret Hospital after a crash in Beechboro that killed her 39-year-old mother, Catherine. Their car and a truck had collided after lightning had knocked out traffic lights at the scene of the incident.

Soon after, the girl’s father Ron — knowing Newton-John was in Perth for a concert — rang her record label to try to organize a spirit-lifting visit.
