‘Daily Show’s’ Trevor Noah Brands Fox News’ Laura Ingraham ‘Super Karen’ for ‘Freak Out’ Over FBI’s Trump Raid

Reacting to the FBI raid on Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate Tuesday night, Trevor Noah declared that “no one in America is above the law…except corporations and rich people and police and celebrities sometimes—but aside from them, nobody is above the law!”

But that being said, TheDailyShow host added, “Even the perception that the Justice Department is being used to go after your political opponents could erode people’s trust in government.” So, he said, “The only thing we can do is wait and see how the investigation unfolds. Or, if you’re Fox News, you can just freak out right now.”

With that, Noah cut to an epic montage of the most unhinged commentary on Fox and other conservative media outlets over the past 24 hours, from Laura Ingraham claiming that “the real target of this investigation” is her viewers to Dan Bongino calling the raid “ Third World bullshit.”

“First of all, as someone from the Third World, maybe leave us out of your shit for once,” the South African comedian shot back. “My man, at what point do you realize it’s happening here? It’s you!”

As for “Super-Karen” Ingraham, Noah replied, “If the FBI is going to go after Trump for stealing classified documents from the White House, then what’s to stop them from going after you when you steal classified documents from the White House? Is that the country we want to live in, when anyone can be investigated just for the crime of doing crimes?! No lo creo!”

In the end, the host said he was amazed at “how quickly MAGA world turns on law enforcement—and America as a whole—whenever it suits them,” including Marjorie Taylor Greene posting an upside-down American flag on Twitter. “What happened to, ‘If you don’t like what’s happening in America, why don’t you just leave?’”

‘Daily Show’ Mocks Marjorie Taylor Greene’s ‘Hilarious’ Jan. 6 CPAC Performance Art

On Monday night’s DailyShowTrevor Noah used a good portion of his opening monologue to focus on this past weekend’s “special tribute” to the imprisoned Jan. 6 rioters at CPAC in Texas that he jokingly described as “very moving and not at all hilarious.”

The host was talking about a bizarre performance art piece in which an actor in an orange jumpsuit sat in a fake prison cell and openly wept to bring the plight of the insurrectionists to life for the conservative conference attendees. Among them was Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) who entered the cage to pray with him.

“OK, wait, wait, wait,” Noah said. “Help me understand the logic here. Marjorie Taylor Greene is praying for a fake prisoner? Who is this lady? Emphasizing that “this is a person who is actually part of running your country,” he added, “she must have the hardest time at Broadway shows. ‘They killed Hamilton!’”

In Greene’s “defense,” the host said the actor must have really “committed” to the role, shedding real tears for hour upon hour. “Which, in a way, is a powerful performance art,” he said. “Because isn’t that what conservatism has turned into in America? It’s just people in MAGA hats acting like they’re victims?” Noah mock-cried as he said, “There’s fewer white people now than there used to be…but we still have all the power…”

And as if this story couldn’t get any “crazier,” Noah then revealed that the actor playing the prisoner was an actual Jan. 6 rioter who pleaded guilty and avoided incarceration by “snitching on the other rioters.”

“So, yeah, just so you understand, this dude is pretending to be a prisoner that he helped send to prison!” I have added. “This is wild!”

‘Daily Show’ Breaks Down Funniest Moment of Alex Jones Trial

Trevor Noah spent a few minutes of his DailyShow monologue digging into Alex Jones, “far-right commentator and man who makes Donald Trump seem like a reasonable human being,” whose defamation trial took a shocking turn on Wednesday after it was revealed that Jones’ own lawyer had accidentally sent a trove of damning text messages to the opposing counsel representing the families of the Sandy Hook shooting victims.

“Today in the trial, one of the funniest moments came when he found out that his inept lawyer had screwed up and sent the prosecution evidence that proved Alex Jones committed perjury,” the host explained before sharing an extended clip from the proceedings with viewers in which the InfoWars founder is caught red-handed.

“Oh shit, that was funny!” Noah said, barely able to control his laughter at him. “Oh man, I like how he was so shocked he started turning into every emoji.” He added that, “at one point he even tried to give himself COVID,” joking that Jones’ coughing fit may have been him pretending to have the disease he’s been calling fake for years now.

“You know you’re in trouble when the truth chokes you up like you’re on an episode of hot ones,” Noah continued. “But you realize, this moment is huge. Because it shows that Alex Jones probably committed perjury, which means Alex Jones lies about stuff.”

That “shocking” realization led Noah to wonder if “chemtrails from planes aren’t turning the frogs gay,” before asking, “Was that also a lie?!”
