Jane Fonda, 84, opens up about her face lift admitting she is ‘not proud’ and will not get another

Jane Fonda recently discussed her regret of getting a face lift in the past as she grew older.

The talented 84-year-old actress has been in the Hollywood scene for decades, and recently starred in the hit series, Grace And Frankie.

In an interview with Vogue published on Tuesday, the star openly admitted she had gotten a face lift, but wouldn’t repeat the procedure.

The Book Club actress appeared in a recent H&M Move campaign, which prompted Jane to sit down with Vogue to discuss the new collaboration. The collection of ‘movewear’ items is set to be available on August 4.

Amidst the interview, the award-winning star talked about her face lift when on the topic of aging.

‘I had a facelift and I stopped because I don’t want to look distorted. I’m not proud of the fact that I had one,’ she stated.

The 9 To 5 star also added, ‘Now, I don’t know if I had it to do over if I would do it. But I did it. I admit it, and then I just say, okay, you can get addicted. Don’t keep doing it. A lot of women, I don’t know, they’re addicted to it.’

Jane touched on how aging didn’t have to be scary, and that she wanted to bring awareness that there are ways to age in both positive and healthy ways.

‘I want young people to stop being afraid about getting older. What matters isn’t age, isn’t that chronological number. What matters is your health.’

‘I’m almost 85, but I don’t seem that old,’ she explained. ‘So getting young people to stop being afraid of being old, helping people realize that just because you’re a certain age doesn’t mean you have to give up on life…’

The Oscar-winning talent explained how grateful she was that she is still healthy for her age.

‘I mean, every day when I get out of a car, I thank the goddesses that I have strong thighs, that I’ve worked out to keep strong thighs,’ she said.

Jane has reflected on aging before, and in an interview with Glamor earlier in May, she explained that she wanted to have no regrets as she continued to grow older.

‘One of the things that I knew for sure is that I didn’t want to get to the end with a lot of regrets, so how I lived up until the end was what was going to determine whether or not I had regrets,’ the star stated to the publication.

‘It totally changed the way I thought about myself and about how I wanted to live the last third of my life. And I realized the importance of being intentional about how we go through life.’

The talented actress continues to be active and works out, from simple walks in nature to fitness routines.

‘When you get older, you realize that staying healthy is joyful and critical because age isn’t so much chronology. You can be very old at 84, which is my age, but you can also be very young,’ she told Glamour.

Jane began acting on the Broadway stage, with her Hollywood career kicking off in the 1960s, starring in successful films such as Sunday In New York (1963) and Barbarella (1968).

She won two Academy Awards for Best Actress in the 1970s, garnering various other nominations and awards in the years to follow.

Aside from being passionate to being on the big screen, the star has had a love for dance and fitness for years.

Beyonce REMOVES Kelis sample from her song after Milkshake artist accused singer of ‘theft’

Beyonce has apparently removed a sample of the 2003 Kelis song Milkshake from her song Energy, following criticism from Kelis over the sample.

The song Energy – from the latest album Renaissance from Beyonce, 40 – had revised versions on Tidal and Apple as of Tuesday, according to Rolling Stone. At one point, a glitch occurred on Tidal, with just the isolated vocals featured and almost two minutes of silence.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the version of Energy featuring the Kelis sample remained the same on the Spotify version as of Tuesday.

The 2003 hit from Kelis was penned by Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo (formerly known as The Neptunes), who both were credited on the Beyonce track, though Kelis wasn’t. Beyonce’s website indicated that the samples used on the track were interpolated, altering the existing sound for a new song.

Kelis last week accused Beyonce of ‘theft’ for allegedly using a sample of a track off her 2003 album Tasty on her new album without permission.

The performer, 42, didn’t hold back after discovering that the superstar, 40, used a short section from her song, Milkshake, on her forthcoming track, Energy, alongside the rest of the world.

After a fan account for the two-time Grammy nominee posted about the news, Kelis commented that she was shocked by the song credit and angered not to have any advance notice.

‘My mind is blown too much because the level of disrespect and utter ignorance all 3 parties involved is astounding,’ she said. ‘I heard about this the same way everyone else did. Nothing is ever as it seems, some of the people in this business have no soul or integrity and they have everyone fooled.’

In response to one comment that Beyonce clearly admires her work, Kelis replied: ‘Admire is not the word.’

When another expressed excitement about them working together, the mom-of-two, who was writing under her celebrity chef account @bountyandfull, claimed: ‘It’s not a collab it’s theft.’

Kelis later took to Instagram calling the track Milkshake ‘one of the most licensed records of our generation.’

She added: ‘I am a creator, I’m an innovator, I have done more then left my mark on an era of music and style that will go down in history. But there are [bullies] and secrets and gangsters in this industry that smile and get away with it until someone says enough is enough. So I’m saying it today. I’m coming for what’s mine and I want reparations. Peace.’

Previously Kelis fans called out Beyonce for ‘ripping off’ Ring the Alarm from Caught out There.

Beyonce’s upcoming record will be the seventh she has produced over her much-celebrated career.

She also penned a lengthy statement that was shared on her Instagram account, in which she noted that the recording process was thoroughly enjoyable.

‘Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world. It allowed me to feel free and adventurous in a time when little else was moving,’ she stated.

Beyonce added: ‘My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment. A place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking. A place to scream, release, feel freedom. It was a beautiful journey of exploration.’

She concluded by writing: ‘I hope you find joy in this music. I hope it inspires you to release the wiggle. He has! And to feel as unique, strong, and sexy as you are.’

Renaissance’s first single, Break My Soul, was previously released to the public on June 20.

The hitmaker worked with several artists, including Big Freedia and her husband, Jay-Z, to produce the track.

The song has since received widespread critical acclaim from many music critics.

Beyonce initially teased that she was working on new music during an interview with Harper’s Bazaar last August.

During the sit-down with the media outlet, the Drunk In Love singer expressed that her recording process had been particularly arduous.

‘I’ve been in the studio for a year and a half. Sometimes it takes a year for me to personally search through thousands of sounds to find just the right kick or snare,’ she said.

Beyonce then confirmed that she still loved making music and that she was happy to be working on new material.

She expressed: ‘After 31 years, it feels just as exciting as it did when I was nine years old. Yes, the music is coming!’

The highly anticipated record, which was scheduled to be released at midnight on Thursday, can be found online and CDs are already being sold in Europe, according to Variety.

The album was leaked on Wednesday.

Jamie Vardy seen for the first time since Wagatha Christie verdict while behind wheel of £130k Bentley

Jamie Vardy has been pictured for the first time today behind the wheel of his £130,000 Bentley following the sensational Wagatha Christie verdict.

The Leicester City footballer, 35, was pictured looking glum in the front seat of his Bentley Bentayga Azure amid his wife Rebekah’s High Court defeat on Friday – as the couple face an expensive £3million legal bill.

The bombshell libel trial led to a dramatic showdown between two of English football’s most prolific strikers as Wayne Rooney and Jamie went on the attack in defense of their wives.

Former England teammates Wayne and Jamie were once described as ‘close friends on and off the field’ by former England manager Roy Hodson but all that was kicked into touch as the high-profile trial unfolded.

Wayne, 36 dutifully accompanied his wife Coleen for each day of the trial, dressed in sharp suits that matched her formal outfits and the two were photographed purposefully striding into the High Court as they put on a united front.

Jamie, on the other hand, only accompanied Rebekah once during the trial, ironically on the day when his former international colleague Wayne was giving evidence.

Meanwhile, Mrs Vardy could still appeal against the bombshell ruling as she declared herself ‘devastated’ and branded the decision ‘unjust’ and ‘wrong’.

Sources close to Rebekah said that ‘nothing has been ruled out’ and that lawyers were still ‘combing over’ the 75-page judgment as they searched for possible grounds to take Coleen back to court.

The 40-year-old’s reputation is in tatters after she scored one of the worst own goals in British legal history after a High Court judge dismissed her evidence as ‘evasive or implausible’ and said she had deliberately deleted WhatsApp messages central to the case. Her agent de ella was also told she had intentionally dropped her phone de ella in the North Sea.

Mrs Vardy and her footballer husband have been left with a £3million legal bill after Mrs Justice Steyn ruled in favor of Mrs Rooney in a judgment that said swathes of her evidence given under oath had been ‘manifestly inconsistent’, ‘not credible’ and needed to be treated with ‘very considerable caution’.

Rebekah, who now risks losing a quarter of the £12million fortune she shares with her husband Jamie, said: ‘I am extremely sad and disappointed at the decision that the judge has reached. It is not the result that I had expected, nor believe it was just. I brought this action to vindicate my reputation and am devastated by the judge’s finding.

‘The judge accepted that publication of Coleen’s post was not in the ‘public interest’ and she also rejected her claim that I was the ‘Secret Wag’. But as for the rest of her judgement, she got it wrong and this is something I cannot accept’.

She added: ‘The case is over. I want to thank everyone who has supported me.’

It comes as Mrs Vardy returned to Instagram on Saturday and posted a picture of her walking away from a camera with the caption: ‘Peace out’ and showing a V-sign towards a camera.

The image shows Mrs Vardy wearing a black jacket with graffitied text reading ‘normal is boring’, along with blue denim shorts and black boots.

It comes as Vardy’s efforts to restore her reputation may include a documentary, a biography and two retail campaigns.

Sources close to Vardy hope a bidding war will break out among production companies, five of which are said to be interested, to create a documentary on the infamous case.

Bidders are expected to offer between £50,000 and £250,000 for her involvement, The Times reports.

Streaming giants Netflix, Amazon and Disney are already believed to be battling it out to broadcast Rooney’s side of the legal battle made by Lorton Entertainment – the same company responsible for the feature film on Wayne.

A source close to Coleen said she could be in line for ‘several million pounds’ for her participation.

Vardy’s Instagram post comes amid reports suggesting that Mrs Vardy has not ruled out a possible appeal despite legal experts claiming she has little hope of being successful and would be better off ‘retiring to a Scottish island’.

Vardy had sued over an accusation she had leaked details of her private life to the press. It came after Mrs Rooney had staged an elaborate sting operation to find out who she was passing on stories about her private life from Ella to The Sun.

Coleen Rooney and Rebekah Vardy together in 2016. The WAGs have ended up in court in the libel trial of the year and Mrs Vardy’s reputation is in tatters after bringing the case and losing

The judge, Justice Karen Steyn, said in her ruling that Coleen had successfully proved her allegation was substantially true.

Mrs Vardy will have to pay her rival’s costs as well as her own, which sources in both camps say comes to between £2million and £3million.

The huge legal bill means the Vardys may be forced to sell their beloved Portuguese villa to cover the costs.

Mrs Vardy relentlessly pursued the case against her Wag rival Coleen Rooney for nearly three years after being accused of leaking private stories about Coleen and her family to The Sun newspaper.

The bombshell verdict from Court 13 of the High Court was handed down remotely online at noon by Mrs Justice Steyn just over two months after the hearing in May. Vardy’s failed libel suit has been branded the most ill-advised in history.

Mrs Vardy had insisted on a full trial in the glare of the international media – and lost.

Legal expert Mark Stephens dashed cold water on any ideas Mrs Vardy may have had in terms of an appeal and described her decision to go to court as ‘ill-advised’.

He told MailOnline: ‘She has got no hope whatsoever of appeal. The judge has made findings on the fact, in order to appeal she has to demonstrate that the judge has erred in law some way – and she has not.

Mrs Vardy will have to pay her rival's costs as well as her own, which sources in both camps say comes to between £2million and £3million

‘This case was always ill-advised. If you go into a libel courtroom, the lawyers are paid to dissect you. They did it. They damaged both women reputationally.

‘Unfortunately for Vardy the stain will be very long lived. She will be better off retiring to a Scottish island and not saying much ever again.

‘An appeal is going to be throwing good money after bad and this is already an own-goal. What you don’t want is an own hattrick that makes a disaster out of a crisis.’

Media litigator Matthew Dando, a partner at Wiggin LLP, told MailOnline: ‘It is a devastating and damning judgment for Rebekah Vardy that leaves her credibility in tatters. It is hard to imagine a stronger judicial condemnation of her evidence.

‘It will do real damage to Rebekah Vardy’s finances too as she will have to pay Coleen Rooney’s legal costs as well as her own.

‘It is hard to imagine Rebekah Vardy emerging from this with anything less than a fatal wound to her character and credibility’.

The High Court found that Mrs Rooney’s social media post accusing her rival was ‘substantially true’ and that Mrs Vardy ‘knew of, condoned and was actively engaged’ in leaks to the media by her ex-agent Caroline Watt.

Miss Universe Jennifer Hawkins looks almost unrecognizable in resurfaced Ralph magazine cover

An image of Jennifer Hawkins looking barely recognizable at the beginning of her modeling career has left fans scratching their heads.

This week, an image of Jennifer’s 2004 Ralph magazine cover resurfaced on Instagram influencer watchdog account Celeb Spellcheck.

The racy photo was taken months after Jennifer won the prestigious Miss Universe pageant, and showed the blonde posing suggestively in a skimpy red bikini.

Many users commented on just how different Jennifer looked, with one writing: ‘Wow Jen Hawkins is unrecognizable!’

‘It doesn’t even look like her’, another user agreed, while someone else added: ‘There is no way that’s Jennifer Hawkins – really?!’

At the time of her Ralph photo shoot, Jennifer sported pencil-thin eyebrows and had much thinner-looking lips.

She has since adopted a fuller, more natural-looking eyebrow style and now sports a noticeably fuller pout – perhaps thanks to clever makeup techniques.

Jennifer has been the subject of plastic surgery rumors for years, but has never discussed whether she’s gone under the knife.

In 2018, Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Randal Haworth offered his expert opinion on Jennifers’ evolving look, telling Daily Mail Australia at the time: ‘I often see pretty girls like Jennifer wanting to fine-tune their features to enter ‘supermodel’ territory .’

According to Dr. Haworth, who has not treated Jennifer himself, she has invested in some minor improvements to ‘improve facial balance as a whole’.

‘Most people would scratch their heads as to how a former Miss Universe could possibly improve upon her already-idolized face,’ he said.

‘Her new and more glamorous appearance has been helped by a rhinoplasty to refine and elevate her nasal tip while narrowing her asymmetrical nasal bones.’

Despite being a household name for more than 15 years, Jennifer has hardly aged a day and is arguably more beautiful now than she was in her early twenties.

Dr. Haworth believes that the former Myer ambassador has indulged in ‘fillers to her cheeks and other areas of her face’, as well as Botox.

‘I strongly suspect she also underwent lip augmentation for added sensuality and improved facial balance as a whole,’ he added.

In 2010, Jennifer attributed her drastic change in appearance to healthy eating, exercise and makeup.

‘Women get better with age, because they are more confident with themselves. It’s all about makeup and health,’ she said on The Kyle and Jackie O Show.

Jennifer has previously danced around the topic of plastic surgery when quizzed on her age-defying looks.

In 2014 she told The Australian Women’s Weekly that it was the nature of the fashion industry to be accused of having cosmetic surgery.

‘When someone says ‘under the knife’ I don’t have a reaction,’ she said.

‘Everyone in the industry gets that. That’s fine. I’m cool with that. I’m cool with people having an opinion, but as I said, I am happy with who I am as a person and really just want to live my life.’

In 2016, the former Australia’s Next Top Model judge claimed it was a personal choice if people wanted to invest in plastic surgery.

Major influencer bust-up between Sophie Cachia and Mia Plecic as they cut business ties

Two of Australia’s most controversial influencers have reportedly cut business ties following a string of public relations gaffes.

Mummy blogger Sophie Cachia and haircare entrepreneur Mia Plecic announced last year they were launching a ‘gender-neutral’ cosmetics brand together called Aisuru.

Cachia, a former footy WAG who famously left her husband and became engaged to a woman in 2020, previously found success with her eponymous pajamas brand and multimedia company Shaw Media.

Mia is known for her multimillion-dollar hair products company, Slick Hair Co.

But this week, Cachia announced that Aisuru was now ‘a one-woman show’, apparently confirming Plecic had left the business.

Outspoken the Podcast, which documents the misadventures of social media stars, speculated this week that the pair’s friendship had also broken down.

Tellingly, Plecic has removed all references to Aisuru from her social media bio and also unfollowed the brand on Instagram.

The former business partners have also unfollowed each other’s personal accounts.

Plecic has since released a statement to Daily Mail Australia that seemingly contradicts Cachia’s claim about Aisuru being a ‘one-woman show’.

‘I am still a Director of AISURU and an equal shareholder to Sophie. I just took a step back as Slick Hair Company is going through huge international growth and I need to focus on the brand that is growing,’ Plecic said.

Aisuru has been plagued by controversy since its launch earlier this year.

In February, Cachia was called out for practicing poor hygiene while conducting a ‘quality control’ exercise on her new lipstick line.

The hosts of Outspoken, sisters Amy, Sophie and Kate Taeuber, also speculated this week that Plecic’s controversial views on Covid-19 and vaccine mandates possibly drove a wedge between the business partners.

The court’s ruling ends the constitutional right to abortion across America, meaning individual states can now decide whether abortion should be legal.

However, the use of the term in the context of vaccines is highly controversial, with women’s rights activists saying the two issues cannot be compared.

‘The same people who are against freedom of choice with mandates are the same people who are screaming freedom of choice about abortions,’ added Plecic in her post.

The entrepreneur, who made headlines last year for sharing anti-lockdown and anti-vaccine views on social media, continued: ‘It doesn’t work like that. Freedom of choice regardless of your narrative.’

Aussie Influencer Opinions posted a screenshot purportedly showing an anonymous user messaging Showpo’s official Instagram account asking why the company stocked a product ‘with such a problematic company owner such as Mia Plecic’.

A Showpo customer service representative replied: ‘As a brand we will not be renewing our partnership with Slick Hair Company to stock their products on our website and we’re effectively exiting out of this brand.’

Reacting to Ms Plecic's Instagram post, one fan exposed the logical fallacy at the heart of her argument with: 'Covid is contagious and pregnancy is not. Simple really'

Another agreed: ‘Wow… to compare those VERY DIFFERENT things is just next level. How embarrassing.’

She also used this post to clarify that she is pro-choice when it comes to abortion.

Shiloh has been seen recently on social media performing dance moves with her pals.

‘I don’t know where she got it from. I’m Mr. Two-Left-Feet here,’ he added with a laugh.

In June Shiloh was seen in a black Beatles T-shirt when dancing to Doja Cat’s song Vegas in a video posted on YouTube by Los Angeles-based choreographer Hamilton Evans.

Shiloh loves dancing. She’s seriously talented and she has been going to these classes for a few years now, ‘an insider told Us Weekly.

‘She’s made some good friends through the dancing community too, and they’re all in chat groups and share their favorite playlists and that type of stuff.

‘The teachers are all very impressed with her and say the sky’s the limit if she wants to take it to the next level, and Shiloh may just do that.’

When asked by ET on Monday if he thinks his kids may go into acting like he or Jolie, he said he just wants them to be happy.

‘I love when they find their own way, find things they are interested in and flourish,’ Pitt said of his children.

He has three bio kids with Angie: Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivienne. And three that were adopted: Maddox, Pax and Zahara.

This comes after Jolie said Zahara had landed a place at the historically black liberal arts college for women and will be relocating to Atlanta, Georgia, in the coming months.

Angelina shared a photo of her 17-year-old daughter and some of her fellow students, some of whom were in Spelman shirts, and wrote on Instagram:

‘Zahara with her Spelman sisters! Congratulations to all new students starting this year. A very special place and an honor to have a family member as a new Spelman girl. #spelman #spelmancollege #spelmansisters #HBCU.’

The former couple’s eldest son, 20-year-old Maddox studied at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea, though his classes moved online and he returned to the US during the COVID-19 pandemic. Their second son, Pax, now 18, graduated last summer but is not believed to have taken up a place at college.

Meanwhile, the 47-year-old actress previously joked Zahara is a better organize than her.

She said: ‘I want to give them a bit of structure. I try to make schedules at home. My daughter Zahara is better at organizing things than I am.’

She has also opened up about how she adopted some of her children, and how exciting and wonderful their journeys have been.

She previously said: ‘Each is a beautiful way of becoming a family. What is important is to speak with openness about all of it and to share. ‘Adoption’ and ‘orphanage’ are positive words in our home. With my adopted children, I can’t speak of pregnancy, but I speak in great detail and love about the journey to find them and what it was like to look in their eyes for the first time. All adopted children come with a beautiful mystery of a world that is meeting yours.’

Bullet Train will be released in theaters on August 5.

How to quickly say an onion without tears: Melbourne foodie Melanie Lionello shares her simple hack

This is the RIGHT way to chop an onion: Why this simple yet ‘life-saving’ trick for saying the veggie super fine has taken the internet by storm

  • A Melbourne nutritionist has shared a handy hack for finely saying an onion
  • Melanie Lionello demonstrated the trick in a video that amassed 11million views

  • Melanie makes slices from the root to the stem all the way around the onion

A foodie has shared her simple, fuss-free hack for saying an onion in under 30 seconds.

Cookbook author and nutritionist Melanie Lionello demonstrated the ‘literally life-changing’ trick she said will ‘save so many tears’ in a now-viral clip.

The Melbourne cook, who heads From My Little Kitchen, chopped the stem off a whole onion and placed in on a chopping board with the root facing upwards.

After taking the onion skin off, she makes multiple slices the whole way around the onion from the root to the stem with each cut meeting in the centre.

Melanie then turns the onion on its side and makes a series of thin vertical cuts starting at the stem and making her way up to the root.

She was left with finely diced pieces of onion perfect for cooking and dry eyes.

‘I was today years-old when I learned that I could say an onion like this. Please tell me that I’m not the only one,’ she said in an Instagram video.

The video has racked up more than 11.4 million views on the platform as well as hundreds of thankful comments.

‘THIS IS A GAME CHANGER,’ one viewer exclaimed.

‘Wow I’m trying this, never cut an onion like this but it looks so easy!’ wrote another.

‘I like chopping onions like this. It saves my eyes from tearing up,’ said a third.

‘Cut it in half first so you have it firmly on a flat surface will make it safer to do, you may cut yourself doing it whole,’ a fourth recommended.

Why do onions make you cry?

Onions contain a chemical compound and an enzyme that mix to release an irritating gas when the onion is cut.

This helps keep the bulb from getting eaten by animals as it grows in the ground.

Onions make your eyes burn for the same reason they make you cry: thanks to the combination of that chemical compound and the enzyme that synthesize when an onion is cut.

This creates syn-propanethial-S-oxide, a volatile gas that makes your eyes burn and fill with tears.

Here’s how the process works:

  1. The onion contains both the chemical precursor to the gas and an activating enzyme that floats in onion cells in little walled-off areas (vacuoles).
  2. An onion gets sliced, diced or bitten into.
  3. The precursor and enzyme mix, creating an unstable chemical irritant.
  4. At room temperature, this irritant quickly becomes a gas that spreads through the air.
  5. The gas triggers pain receptors in the eyes and nose designed to protect you from chemicals, smoke and other dangers.
  6. The tear glands (lacrimal glands) in the eyes then make tears to wash away the irritant.

Sophie got an overwhelming response to the song with her letting fans know it is available on Spotify soon after it aired.

‘Which music video do you prefer? Beauties or Geeks? My song is available on Spotify/etc. EVERYONE has been asking (no one has asked),’ she said.

In August last year, Sophie announced that she was making a comeback to the music scene, releasing her first single in 17 years.

‘It’s taken me years to be ready to release a song and this happened so organically for me, I felt like the time was right,’ she told Daily Mail Australia in a statement.

‘People know me originally as a singer in Australia, so it’s nice to be going back to my number one love,’ she continued.

The jazz-inspired single was written by Monk during her time in Melbourne filming The Masked Singer.

In the sultry song, Sophie’s raspy voice is heard singing the cryptic lyrics.

‘I’ve seen some things, that would make a grown man cry. So many things, that I have to leave behind. So complicated, but I prefer the simple life.’

Sophie says for the first time in her musical career she feels like she is in complete control after deciding to release her new music independently via Ditto Music.

Doing her own thing: 'It's taken me years to be ready to release a song and this happened so organically for me, I felt like the time was right,' she told Daily Mail Australia in a statement

‘I feel like I am in complete control and I’m just excited by the opportunity to be able to do this, I hope everyone enjoys the song it as much as I did recording it,’ she said.

In December last year, Sophie teased a brand new solo single on Instagram – one which sounds very different to her days in noughties girl band, Bardot.

Holly posed with Natalie Imbruglia, 47, who also pursued a pop music career after her exit from the show, and they wore matching pink Neighbors hats.

Natalie shared the selfie on Instagram alongside several other snaps, including pictures of her playing Beth Brennan in the ’90s.

Meanwhile, Holly, who is married to billionaire property developer Nick Candy, starred as Felicity ‘Flick’ Scully from 1999 to 2002.

She was last seen on screen in 2005 and now lives in Hollywood.

The actors-turned-pop stars weren’t the only special guests who returned to Ramsay Street on Thursday evening to say goodbye to the soap after 37 years on air.

The characters Harold Bishop (Ian Smith), Shane Ramsay (Peter O’Brien), Izzy Hoyland (Natalie Bassingthwaighte) and Mike Young (Guy Pearce) all featured heavily in the show’s swansong.

They were joined by returning favorites Joel Samuels (Daniel MacPherson), Joe Mangel (Mark Little), Amy Greenwood (Jacinta Stapleton), Nina Tucker (Delta Goodrem) and Des Clarke, memorably played by Paul Keane.

Kylie Minogue, best known for playing Charlene Robinson, and Jason Donovan, who played Scott Robinson, also reprized their roles, as did Melissa Bell, who portrayed Lucy Robinson.

Holly’s younger half-sister Olympia Valance, who portrayed Paige Smith, was also involved in the finale.

They were joined by Jane Harris (played by Annie Jones), Donna Freedman (Margot Robbie) and the ghost of the late Madge Bishop (Anne Charleston).

Neighbors announced in March that production would cease on the long-running soap due to lack of financial backing after losing their ‘key broadcast partner in the UK’, Channel 5.
