Apex Legends leaks reveal Season 14 collection event, epic skins, and next heirloom

New Apex Legends datamines reveal upcoming content details ahead of Season 14’s release, including new collection events, epic skins, and the next heirloom.

With Season 14 of Apex Legends kicking off on August 9, 2022, it seems recent datamines may have revealed the next collection event.

Leakers have allegedly found data that suggests the next collection event, codenamed “HunterPredator,” will feature new Legend and weapon skins.

Additionally, the code hosts placeholder data for the name of the Legend getting the next heirloom, which could hint at two possible candidates.

Apex Legends leaks reveal Season 14 collection event

The leaks in question come from a few sources. The ‘HunterPredator’ collection event leak comes from Breasts Apex on Twitter, who shared screenshots of the code and leaked weapon skins.

These screenshots reveal Fuse, Gibby, and Revenant may get epic rarity skins in the collection event, while the CAR SMG, the Hemlock, and the Wingman will get epic weapon skins.

Additionally, SenosApex provided early images of the Wingman and Hemlock skins, with the Wingman featuring a frosty ice-blue and gold design.

The Hemlock features a more camo-esque design featuring various green colors with red accents.

However, the leaker also revealed they found code for the next heirloom in placeholder text saying “I believe this is the collection event for the xxxx Heirloom.”

Fans speculate the four X’s could represent the Legend’s name, leading many to believe that Loba could finally get her heirloom in Season 14.

This is compounded by another leak from Twitter user Psamathehwho claims prominent Apex Legends leaker Ezra_RC has hinted at a decorative folding fan heirloom.

While the four X placeholder name could hint at an heirloom for Fuse, Loba makes much more sense when factoring in the decorative fan leak and the fact that she’s been around much longer than Fuse.

Of course, these are still unconfirmed leaks so fans should view them with skepticism.

If these leaks prove true, though, Season 14 could finally be the season Loba fans have been waiting for.

Bullet Train review – Brad Pitt goes second class in brainless action movie | Action and adventure films

There are plenty of big, dumb action movies that can deliver thrills without exactly taxing the brain. And then there are films that are so thunderously stupid they bypass guilty-pleasure status and end up as a danger to themselves and all around them. Bullet Train falls into the latter camp. It’s so imbecilic, you wouldn’t trust it to cross the road unsupervised, let alone negotiate Japan’s Shinkansen high-speed rail network.

The premise, adapted from Kōtarō Isaka’s 2010 novel, is simple: Brad Pitt plays a privately contracted operative, codenamed Ladybug, who is hired by unknown clients to execute various shady missions. These could involve assassinations, but since he’s re-entering the murky mercenary waters after a period of soul-searching and therapy, his first gig back from him is theoretically an easy one. He just has to steal a silver briefcase on a bullet train heading to Kyoto. But Ladybug is cursed with appalling luck. And it turns out that the whole train is packed with hired killers, extravagantly armed with guns, swords, grudges and a selection of toxins, all of whom seem intent on knifing each other in the face.

Key among the cast are a British duo with a near-fraternal bond: Tangerine (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Lemon (Brian Tyree Henry). Taylor-Johnson is a sharp-suited geezer who looks, like so much in this brash, hollow film, as though he could have been transplanted from Matthew Vaughn’s obnoxious Kingsman series. Henry, meanwhile, is lumbered with a thankless idiot-savant role. Lemon is obsessed with – I kid you not – the children’s book series Thomas the Tank Engine, and claims that it provides a blueprint by which to read a person’s core traits. Thus a Henry is essentially decent, but a Diesel is nefarious and slippery. Predictably, the cast of Bullet Train skews towards the Diesel end of the spectrum.

Also on board is a schoolgirl who goes by the name of Prince (Joey King), who may be the innocent bystander she claims to be. But as previous Japan-set action movies, notably Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill: Volume 1, have taught us, schoolgirls are rarely to be trusted. She’s the only female character of note – it comes to something when a disposable plastic water bottle gets more of a backstory than the other women in the film.

Monumentally dull-witted as it is, it’s not only the cloddish plotting that sends this picture to the dunce’s corner. Other equally lunkish movies are redeemed by their action sequences. And director David Leitch, the man behind high-octane stabathons such as Atomic Blonde, certainly knows his way around a fight sequence. But the film’s gimmick – the train setting – is also a problem. An inventive close-quarters battle on public transport can be a thing of real beauty – just look at the bus sequences in Nobody and Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings for two recent examples. But if there the combat choreography is contained within the metal tube of a train carriage, it soon starts to get a little repetitive, no matter how many samurai swords and venomous snakes you throw into the mix.

But there’s a further issue: the tone. Bullet Train is infuriatingly pleased with itself. And ground zero for this implosion of self-satisfaction is Pitt. There’s a school of thought that argues that Pitt is the film’s saving grace. Certainly, he’s one of the most likeable elements. He plays his character of him like an affable golden retriever that has swallowed a self-help manual, sporadically coughing up a semi-masticated personal growth tip. But he’s also, in many ways, guilty for this month. The Pitt celebrity is the freight that gave the project its momentum in the first place; his involvement of him is presumably the reason that nobody demanded a rewrite, or at the very least a tighter edit, to slam on the emergency brakes and avert the inevitable disaster.

Erik ten Hag admits he has ‘hell of a job’ after Manchester United defeat | Man Utd

Erik ten Hag admitted Manchester United lost belief in their 2-1 home defeat against Brighton on Sunday and described his challenge at Old Trafford as a “hell of a job”.

The visitors dominated throughout in Ten Hag’s first Premier League match, winning after two goals from Pascal Gross in the space of nine first-half minutes, United pulling a goal back through Alexis Mac Allister’s second-half own goal.

“It is a hell of a job [before us] – we have to work really hard, analyze and then move forward,” he said. “Today was a good start and then after that we dropped down to a level in belief and we made mistakes that the opponent punished. But it was a good opponent, we [tried to] work well together but when you make mistakes you get punished for that.”

After United had impressed in pre-season, the Dutchman was asked whether he was surprised that his players had lost belief in the first league game of the season.

“I knew it could happen but I think we should have done better – that is clear,” the manager said. “But I also know it [improvement] will not eat overnight. At times we played better in pre-season. Today we had a really bad period in the first half and we have to learn from that.”

He has admitted he sensed in pre-season that the squad’s confidence was fragile because of last term’s dire campaign. “I think so. That is also normal. I didn’t expect that we are already a team that has had a lot of time together,” he said. “And I think that was the difference with our opponent: they have been a long time together with a certain plan and coach and we have not. But still it was unnecessary to lose this game.”

Cristiano Ronaldo against Brighton
Cristiano Ronaldo was not fit enough to start, said Erik ten Hag Photograph: Peter Powell/EPA

Ten Hag was asked why his team did not press as he would like. “Brighton is a team who normally wants to play from the back. They didn’t today, they played long balls. Then it becomes about winning the second ball and in those situations we did not always do what we planned to before the game and we have to learn from those lessons.”

In Anthony Martial’s absence Ten Hag deployed a false No 9 in Christian Eriksen, leaving Cristiano Ronaldo on the bench and cited a lack of match fitness as the reason why. “Ronaldo is now maybe 10 days in training and that is too short for 90 minutes so that is why we didn’t start him,” he said.

At centre-back there was a Premier League debut for new signing Lisandro Martínez alongside Harry Maguire and the England international admitted it would take time to gel. “Me and Licha have not played much together and were not on the same wavelength at times,” he said. “I am sure we will get better and keep clean sheets.”

While Ten Hag followed Louis van Gaal as only the second of the eight managers to succeed Sir Alex Ferguson to lose an opening game, this was Brighton’s first win at Old Trafford in 14 visits. “I have got a fantastic group of players that have got ambition. They give everything every day,” said their manager, Graham Potter.

Danny Welbeck impressed up front for Brighton despite having been a doubt for the game because of a stomach problem. But Potter said there was no way he was going to sit out the game at one of his former clubs. “No, he would have strapped the toilet on to his backside to play, it would have slowed him down though,” he said. “He was amazing.”

AI asked to create an image of what death looks like

An artificial intelligence has been asked to create an image of what death looks like, and the results are simply stunning.

The artificial intelligence (AI) that was asked to create the images seen in the above video is called MidJourney, which was created by David Holtz, co-founder of Leap Motion, and is currently run by a small self-funded team that has several well-known advisors such as Jim Keller, known for his work at AMD, Apple, Tesla, and Intel, Nat Friedman, the CEO of Github, and Bill Warner, the founder of Avid Technology and inventor of nonlinear video editing.

MidJourney is an incredible piece of technology, and it recently went into open beta, which means anyone can try it by simply heading over to its dedicated Discord server. Users can enter “/imagine“, followed by a text prompt of what they want the AI to produce. Users have been testing the AI’s capabilities by entering descriptive words such as HD, hyper-realistic, 4K, wallpaper, and more. All of which work perfectly.

As for the predictive capability of MidJourney, none of the images seen in this article or any other source should be taken as a prediction. MidJourney was created to expand the human species’ imaginative power, not predictions.

Using MidJourney’s image generation algorithms, users are able to create ultra-realistic images of whatever they wish. The possibilities are truly endless, and with accurate text inputs, you can create wallpaper-worthy images. I tested the AI and created several images that are now being used as wallpapers, but what was more impressive was what the other users in the Discord were making. Below are some examples of what I found and what the user inputted into the AI to get the result.

The First Masked Singer Australia Celeb Has Been Unveiled

Knight has just unveiled himself on The Masked Singer Australia and it was Ryan Moloney. Toadfish Rebecca is BACK, baby.

The performance was rogue, it was bold and in all honesty I have no idea how it reeked of Toadie. my neighbors lore is not up to scratch, evidently.

The judges were equally as bamboozled. chrissie swan was convinced it was Nick Cummins while Dave Hughes hedged his bets on David Hasselhoff. Maybe he just felt a connection because they share the same first name, per chance.

Mel B thought it was Brendan Fevola and Abbie Chatfield wanted it to be Shannon Noll so bad.

But no, it was Mr. Toadfish. The Masked Singer Australiayou truly had me on the edge of my seat.

In case you were playing along at home, the clues that would’ve given it away include:

clue 1: I am the Knight, the closest that Australia has to true royalty.

clue 2: I am a Knight but I prefer the evening.

clue 3: To get where I am I had to fight my way through, travel to true respect.

clue 4: This is my trusty steed, far happier to see me now than in the past. I like it more than horseless carriages.

clue 5: Easy there lightning, I have other plans.

Clues 6: I wouldn’t say I was unforgettable but I am more often forgotten than not.

Clues 7: Still, the good people of Switzerland almost sent me flowers, golden ones, but I prefer deep purple.

Intriguing, to say the least.

You can catch up on The Masked Singer Australia at 10Play.

Australia win cricket gold as McGrath allowed to bat and bowl with COVID-19

Needing 11 runs off the final over with two wickets in the bank, Meghna Singh ran herself out before Jonassen trapped Yastika Bhatia in front on the fourth last ball of the match.

It was a remarkably similar celebration to when the men’s team retained the Ashes on English soil in 2019.

“That was absolutely crazy. One of the best games I’ve been a part of by far,” Schutt said. “We scrapped at the end there. That wasn’t our best game.

“It was a battle of attrition out there. It ebbed and flowed.”

After Australia won the toss and elected to bat, Beth Mooney (61 off 41 balls) – “it was nice to get a few more out of the middle” – and Meg Lanning (36 off 26) put on 74 runs for the second wicket before a bizarre scenario played out.

Moments before Lanning was run-out at the bowler’s end, a statement from Commonwealth Games Australia was issued confirming McGrath’s COVID result.

“McGrath is taking part in today’s final against India,” the statement said. “McGrath presented to team management with mild symptoms on Sunday and subsequently returned the positive test. She was named in the starting XI at the toss and the International Cricket Council (ICC) approved her participation in the final.”

A positive COVID-19 result at these Games does not automatically mean a player is rubbed out of competition. It is assessed on a case-by-case basis and on this occasion McGrath, who wasn’t present for the pre-match national anthem, was told she could play.

Exactly 18 minutes after the statement, McGrath took her mask off and made her way to the middle.

She greeted Beth Mooney for eight seconds before beginning the task of getting her team to a totally competitive.

How far the world has changed since December when Australian captain Pat Cummins was ruled out of an Ashes Test – and sent into isolation for a week – because he spent just a few seconds chatting to a mate of a mate who came over to say hello at dinner.

McGrath had limited impact on the match, making just two runs and taking 0-24 from two overs.

She snaffled a high catch but quickly warned teammates to keep their distance in celebrations.

The decision to let her play left Indian some fans flummoxed.

“It’s a real shame that in elite sport you get publicly shamed for having COVID when over here probably 90 per cent in this room have it right now,” Mooney told reporters. “No one is testing, no one is doing anything. It’s a shame she couldn’t really celebrate with us. At the same time, I think the right decision was made in terms of letting her play given her we’ve spoken about protocols and making sure we were trying to keep everyone safe throughout the game. Hopefully people aren’t too upset about it.

India’s captain Harmanpreet Kaur was asked about it after the match.

loading

“That is something that was not in our control,” she said. “Whatever decision [was made] we had to follow that.”

Australia’s total of 8-161 was healthy and looked to be more than enough when Darcie Brown knocked over Smriti Mandhana (6) and Ash Gardner removed Shafali Verma (11) to have India reeling at 2-22.

But a wonderful partnership had Indian fans waving their flags and daring to dream of a reversal of the 2020 T20 World Cup final result as Jemimah Rodrigues (33) and Harmanpreet Kaur got their team to 2-118 and requiring 43 runs from just over five overs .

Australia’s class shone through as the panic set in. It was as good as over.

Jonassen knew her final delivery was always hitting the stumps. It’s fitting that another left-arm orthodox spinner, Darren Lehmann, bowled the final ball of Australia’s last Commonwealth Games campaign in 1998.

“Always out, yeah,” Jonassen said. “I’ve bowled enough deliveries to know if one is going to hit the stumps and I don’t often turn the ball overly far. I knew it was going straight on. It’s all about the theater at the end.

At the medal presentation, McGrath stood with his teammates but wore a mask, singing the anthem proudly.

Florida prosecutor Andrew Warren vows to fight Gov. DeSantis suspension

ST. PETERSURG, Fla. — A Florida prosecutor vowed Sunday to fight his suspension from office by Gov. Ron DeSantis over his promise of him not to enforce the state’s 15-week abortion ban and support for gender transition treatments for minors.

Andrew Warren, a Democrat suspended last week from his twice-elected post as state attorney in Hillsborough County, which includes Tampa, said in a Facebook video message and news release Sunday he plans a “vigorous defense” by his legal team but did not give specifics.

“I’m not going down without a fight,” Warren said on the video. “I refuse to let this man trample on your freedoms to speak your mind, to make your own health care decisions, and to have your vote count.”

Warren was suspended Thursday by DeSantis, a Republican seeking re-election in November and potential 2024 presidential candidate, who cited neglect of duty and other alleged violations. The governor contended that’s because Warren signed statements with dozens of other prosecutors nationwide vowing not to pursue criminal cases against people who seek or provide abortions or gender transition treatments.

Warren contended Sunday the governor was essentially seeking to nullify the will of voters in the Tampa area who elected him in 2016 and 2020.

Pure Rock 2 FX Test

The newly announced FX series from be quiet! also includes a new air cooler. with the Pure Rock 2 fx, be quiet! now brings an RGB variant of the very popular Pure Rock 2 CPU cooler on the market. I was already allowed to test it and now share my experience in this Pure Rock 2 FX review.

Design & Workmanship

Both the heatpipes and the cooling fins are made of aluminum and the cover plate of the Pure Rock 2 FX are coated in the plain be quiet!black. However, a 120 mm Light Wing PWM high-speed fan is found in the box here as the fan for the CPU cooler. This gives the otherwise monochromatic CPU cooler some colorful flair and can be coupled with the other components of the PC through ARGB in color.

Included with the Pure Rock 2 FX are the Light Wings high-speed fan and heatsink, for one, as well as brackets for mounting the fan and socket adapters for AMD and Intel sockets.

The Pure Rock 2 FX combines four heatpipes in a contact surface made of copper. This is also already factory coated with a white thermal paste, and covered with a plastic protector. The copper contact surface ensures good heat transfer from the processor to the cooler. The heatpipes then transport this heat to the thin metal fins, where it is absorbed by the air and dissipated. In this regard, heat pipes are among the most efficient methods of heat transfer due to the evaporation and condensation of a medium inside the tube.

Therefore, good airflow across the heat sink is important, as it is the only way to exchange warm air and direct fresh air to the cooling fins. The new Light Wings high-speed fan is well suited for this while remaining extremely quiet.

Installation

The Pure Rock 2 FX is compatible with AM4, AM5, as well as Intel 1700, 1200, 2066, 1150, 1151, 1155 and 2011 sockets. The installation of the Pure Rock 2 FX is done quickly. First, the included socket adapter from be quiet! needs to be installed. This is the most fiddly and time-consuming step of the build. After that, the cooler can already be placed on the processor and screwed tight to the adapter. The actual fan is then only clamped to the fins of the cooler via two metal clips. Due to the slightly slanted cooler design, be quiet! prevents complications with the RAM and also without dismantling the CPU cooler, the sticks can be changed.

Pure Rock 2 FX with processor and motherboard
The installed Pure Rock 2 FX

Performance

For the Pure Rock 2 FX test, I used the Cinebench R23 benchmark. The test system used consisted of a Ryzen 7 5800X, Nvidia RTX 3080 FE, 16 GB Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO DDR4 3200 MHz memory and MSI B550-A Pro motherboard. During the benchmark, the slightly overclocked processor reached 90.3 °C under full load. That is a bit too warm for my demands, but the 5800X did not get into thermal throttling anyway, but increased temperatures can lead to premature failure of the processor. Be quiet! specifies the maximum power of the cooler at 150 watts – the maximum speed at 2000 rpm. However, I would recommend a slightly larger air cooler or an AIO for a hot head like the 5800X or CPUs with a comparable or higher TDP.

Temperature curve during Pure Rock 2 FX test
Comparison of the Cinebench R23 benchmark between the be quiet! Pure Loop 2 FX AIO and the Pure Rock 2 FX air cooler with an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X. On the x-axis is the time. The y-axis shows the temperature of the processor. The data of the AIO is shown in red, that of the air cooler in green. The room temperature during the measurements was about 26 °C. MX-4 from Arctic was used as the thermal compound.

Other than that, the performance is extremely respectable, especially for the size of the cooler and the single fan. The temperature difference to the AIO is only 5.7 °C. Especially for mid-range processors, the cooling performance is well suited.

Loudness

What surprised me especially positively during the Pure Rock 2 FX test is the volume. When I ran the benchmark above, I first thought something wasn’t working right – I could perceive virtually no difference in volume. Then when I leaned down to check, I saw that the fan was running at full speed. So in terms of volume, there is absolutely nothing to worry about with the Pure Rock 2 FX. So even for a silent PC build, it is a very good choice.

be quiet! Pure Rock 2 FX review: conclusion

Regularly, the Pure Rock 2 FX is available from be quiet! for €52.90. In the offer already for €39.90, which makes it one of the cheapest CPU coolers on the market. Therefore, it is worth considering especially for cheaper PCs.

As the successor to the Pure Rock 2the Pure Rock 2 FX establishes itself as an inexpensive choice that nevertheless makes no compromises in terms of volume and design. Especially when the budget does not leave much room, but you also do not want to do without RGB, the Pure Rock 2 FX is a great choice.

Wordle today: Here’s the August 8 Wordle answer and hints

It’s a Monday, and hopefully not a manic one — but if you need a few minutes to yourself, there’s a fresh wordle just for you (And the thousands of other daily players.) If you get stuck, that’s where our daily wordle help can come in handy.

The answer to the August 8 wordle, puzzle #415, can be found at the end of this article. Before you get there, though, there are a couple of subtle clues to help you narrow it down, and as you scroll down, you’ll see we’ve gathered a selection of the best tips and strategies from our previous reporting to help you. Cada dia.

where did wordle eat from?

Former Reddit engineer Josh Wardle came up with the game in 2021 as a private exercise for him and his word game-loving partner. It eventually became a staple of their family WhatsApp messaging, and that’s when Wardle started to suspect he might have something special enough to merit a wider release.

Thousands of people around the globe now play this game each day, and fans have even created alternatives to wordle inspired by the original format. This includes music identification game hearleHollywood nerd faves actorle and Framedand variations like sleep and Quordle that make you guess multiple words at eleven.

Not the day you’re after? You’ll find the wordle answer for August 7 here.

What’s the best wordle starting word?

We have some ideas to help you pick the perfect first move. Such tips include choosing a word with at least two different vowels to rule those building blocks in or out, plus a few common consonants such as S, T, R, or N.

Also, even if you’re attached to your mathematically sound starter, once it’s been the answer on any given day it won’t be the answer again for a few years — so if you happen to get the elusive 1/6 result, celebrate by swapping out your starting five.

What happened to the wordle file?

While you could once play the entire archive of past puzzles, the archive was taken down at the request of the New York Timesaccording to the site’s creator.

Es wordle getting harder?

If you’ve been finding wordle too easy, there is a Hard Mode you can enable to give yourself more of a challenge. But unless you activate this mode, we can assure you that wordle isn’t getting harder.

Why are there two different wordle answers some days?

The whole point of wordle is that everyone’s solving the same puzzle, with the same answer, no matter where you are in the world. However, occasionally the puzzle game will accept two different correct solutions on the same day. This aberration is due to changes the New York Times began making after it acquired wordle earlier this year, excising words form Wardle’s original list that the team considers obscure or potentially offensive.

To make sure you’re always getting the same puzzle as everyone else, refresh your browser before you play — don’t worry, the site will keep your streak.

Beach Volleyball gold for Canada’s Sarah Pavan and Melissa Humana-Paredes

The final was a replay of the one played at Gold Coast 2018.

Canada’s Sarah Pavan and Melissa Humana-Paredes successfully defended their Commonwealth women’s Beach Volleyball title with a 2-1 comeback victory over Australia.

The final, which was a replay of the one played at Gold Coast 2018, saw the Canadian duo get the better of rivals Mariafe Artacho del Solar and Taliqua Clancy for their second-successive Commonwealth final.

The Australians took a first-set lead after dominating to edge a 24-22 scoreline, but 2019 world champions Pavan and Humana-Paredes struck back to take the next two 21-17 and 15-12 respectively to seal victory at Smithfield.

Vanuatu beat New Zealand to seal the final place on the podium as Gold Coast bronze medalists Miller Pata and Sherysyn Toko saw off Alice Zeimann and Shaunna Polley 2-1.

On winning her second-consecutive Commonwealth bronze medal, Vanuatu’s Pata was filled with pride and dedicated it to her children.

She said: “I am really proud to win my second medal. I am very happy, I don’t even know how to explain it.

“I dedicate it to my two kids back home. I have a boy and a girl, they are probably sleeping now, but I spoke to them before the match and they said: ‘good luck, mom’.

I am really proud to win my second medal. I am very happy

Miller Paw

“I know they are proud of me and I miss them, I have been away for three months, but now I get to go home and see them.

“We came up strong and fought for every point.

“I need to thank my partner, she was a hero today and this is her first medal, so I am very proud of her.”
