It looks like many “prefetch” files were added to the game, which are music tracks from old Mario Kart games. These were found by YouTube user record reader and sent to YouTube by BL.
These ‘prefetch’ files include the opening few seconds of a music piece. Their purpose is to provide a simple way to start music while the entire song downloads in the background.

While the full audio tracks that match with the prefetch files must appear to be there in the latest announcement, the prefetch files have offered enough of each song to help Mario Kart fans work out which circuits they link to.
What Courses Were Included In Mario Kart 8 Wave 2?
The Booster Course Pass for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe got eight new tracks on Thursday, August 4. They were made up of:
- Tour of New York Minutes
- Mario Circuit 3 (SNES).

- Desert (N64)
- Waluigi’s Pinball (DS)
- Tour of Sydney Sprint
- Snowland (GBA)
- Mushroom Gorge (Wii)
- Sky-High Sundae (New original course)

Based on the prefetch files, it looks like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will get the following tracks as DLC in the future:
- London Loop (Mario Kart Tour)
- Peach Gardens (DS)
- Boo Lake/Broken Pier (GBA)
- 3DS Rock Rock Mountain
- Byways in Berlin (Mario Kart Tour)
- Waluigi Stadium/Wario Colosseum (Game Cube)

- Rainbow Road (3DS).
- Amsterdam Drift (Mario Kart Tour)
- Singapore Speedway (Mario Kart Tour).
- Laps in Los Angeles (Mario Kart Tour)
- Sunset Wilds (GBA)

The release date is not confirmed yet.
But a previous data mine found the retro prefixes for prospective circuits (SNES, GBA, 3DS, etc.), and predicated on these, the most probable result is that the first eight tracks listed in the previous section will be in Wave 3, since the prefixes match.
Yesterday, the second batch of tracks came out. They include GBA Snow Land, Wii Mushroom Gorge, DS Waluigi Pinball, and more.

The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass costs $24.99 or £24.99 and gives you access to 48 DLC tracks over six waves.
Some of the courses are new versions of tracks from older games in the series, like Super Mario Kart, Mario Kart 64, Mario Kart Double Dash, Mario Kart Wii, and even handheld games like the Mario Kart Tour mobile game.
When a player signs up for the Expansion Pack for Nintendo Switch Online, they also get access to the DLC.
