Home and Away’s Cash Newman has secret link to show newcomer

Cash gets a surprise in upcoming Home and Away scenes set to air on Channel 5 when he bumps into an old flame – but the reunion does not come without some controversy.

When Lyrik, the new band made up of four new regular cast members, take to the stage at Salt after Felicity secures them the gig, Cash is caught by surprise and it quickly comes to light that he used to be involved with bass guitarist Eden.

And their connection with each other is not hard to avoid as she jumps from the stage into his arms when she sees him – which raises some eyebrows with other Summer Bay residents.

An awkward Cash, who had tried to escape before she spotted him, finds himself on the receiving end of Felicity’s questioning, and he admits that the pair did hook up in the past.

Felicity soon slips into protective mode and warns Eden against trying to reconcile with him, telling her that he is happy with the now parted Jasmine and that she should not try to interfere with that.

Eden does the sensible thing and takes Felicity’s words to heart, apologizing to Cash for hurting him in the past and offering the hand of friendship – which he is happy to accept.

But a friendly hug between the pair is spotted by Felicity and she warns Cash to watch his step with her, and even Irene gets involved by telling Cash that he should let Jasmine know that Eden is in town.

However, the conversation is overheard by Rose who takes matters into her own hands, enraging Cash in the process.

And things just get worse for Cash from there when he clashes with Tex and begins to think that everyone is trying to get involved in his personal life.

Confiding in Felicity, he admits just how much he is missing Jasmine and feels like his life is starting to crumble without her – will Cash ever be able to move on?

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.45pm on Channel 5 and 6pm on 5STAR. First-look screenings air at 6.30pm on 5STAR and the show also streams on My5.
