Phillip Dosen, popularly known as ImperialHal in showbiz, is one of the most successful players in Apex Legends. The 23-year-old American started his journey during the game’s inaugural seasons, as fans saw some breathtaking content from him. Soon, I have also joined the prestigious TSM clan and produced content for the same.

As time passed, Phillip started getting recognition as the Wraith main ranked on the top in the Apex charts. Fans crowned him with the title of “CEO,” as there were hardly any other players at his level. Hal was one of the few players to clock a massive viewership on Twitch as he entertained fans with his content. So, in a recent stream on August 6, I casually spoke about the upcoming season of Apex Legends.

Respawn has worked hard regarding season 14, as we saw some massive changes to guns and legends buffs. Mainly, they changed the ammo for their pocket sniper, Wingman, as it will now use sniper ammo instead of heavy. Apart from this, the devs have introduced a new legend, Vantage, that will drop on the same day as the new season.

This quickly caught the attention of the CEO, as he had some insights about them. he said, “It seems like the next season is turning into like what I kind of wanted in Apex — where everything is kind of broken. They’re putting so many guns on the ground that are kind of OP. It’s not just what’s being returned to ground loot. It’s what Respawn are putting away too: “they’re putting the dog sh*t ones in the package…who the f**ck is going to craft a RE-45?”

Despite having differing opinions about the update, Hal felt that this season would bring out the best of Apex Legends. After all, it is going back to the olden times, when it introduced multiple broken weapons and everyone had to do their best to survive.

2 MultiVersus Fighters Banned from Evo 2022

Multi Versus players looking to get a better look at what which characters pro fighting game players prefer and how they use them can get that this weekend during the Evo 2022 Multi Versus tournament, but two characters won’t be featured in the fights. Both the Iron Giant and LeBron James – the latter being the first character released after the start of the open beta – are not playable during Evo 2022. A map has similarly been struck from the rotation for the duration of the tournament.

The two fighters weren’t restricted from the tournament because they were overpowered or unfair or anything like that, though depending on which Multi Versus players you ask, some might hold those opinions about the pair. Instead, they were banned from the tournament because these two characters are the only ones labeled as “experimental” when you’re viewing them in the roster. The same goes for the Cromulons stage that comes from Rick and Morty and was added not long ago.

In the official rules for this Multi Versus tournament, the guidelines specified from the start that both of these characters (and any other new ones should Warner Bros. release a surprise drop ahead of schedule) were restricted from the event.

“Iron Giant, LeBron James, or any other characters released after the start of Open Beta will not be allowed in the Evo 2022 MultiVersus Open Beta Tournament,” the rules said. “This is subject to change at the sole discretion of Warner Bros. and Player First Games.”

Aside from those restrictions, the tournament seems to be operating off of pretty standard rules and is being played in a 2v2 format. It started just yesterday and is underway once more again now on Saturday, so it’ll be interesting to see once things have wrapped up which characters proved to be the most possible throughout the competition. A quick look at the MultiVersus Twitter account for the game’s competitive scene shows that there’s at least a range of characters being played instead of just a few being spammed over and over again, though some like Batman and Bugs Bunny are certainly seen frequently enough.

Papers, Please was created by indie game developer Lucas Pope and published through his production company 3909 LLC. The game was released in August 2013 for Microsoft Windows and OS X, for Linux in February 2014, for iOS on iPad in December 2014 and the PlayStation Vita in December 2017.

The game was received positively on its release and is seen as a demonstration of video games as an art form. Papers, Please has received BAFTA game awards for the Strategy and Simulation categories, and most recently won the Peabody Award for Digital Storytelling.

Finally, DerSilver83 says they’ve been working on this mod for about six years, and this latest 1.0 release marks the end of the project. They explained in a post on July 31 that they did everything they could in what they called a “reasonable time frame” and are happy with the end results.

“I want to remember this project as something fun before it turned into some kind of burden,” DerSilver83 said. on the project website. “So that’s it. The latest version of my Cutscenes Remaster project and I hope everyone who uses it will enjoy it as much as I do. I’ve always wanted to create a great mod for a game that I love and can finally say I’ve achieved (or at least tried) it.”

Creative Zen Hybrid Review: Possibly among the best headphones in the price range

The first time I felt the charm of earphones came from Creative about 15 years ago… I was still in high school back then. Recently, I received a pair of new headphones from Creative and was offered an opportunity to experience the Zen Hybrid. I can tell you right now that my journey with the headphones has been very smooth and filled with surprises. Hopefully, this review will help you find out whether these could be the next headphones for you.

I kept scratching my head trying to figure out what it was in the parcel when it arrived a few weeks ago. I could not believe that they managed to pack the headphones and other accessories in such a small-sized package.

The foldable design is widely used in headphones due to the space advantage it provides and the great convenience for people to carry when going out. Creative Zen Hybrid weighed 271 grams which should be considered relatively standard for wireless headphones; the storage pouch that comes with the headphone contributes little to the overall weight. This makes the Zen Hybrid easy to store and carry around.

The headphones have an excellent battery life with up to 27 hours of playtime when the Active Noise Cancellation is enabled (and 37 hours when the feature is off). This result far exceeds that of many other brands of competing products. Interestingly, it feels that almost 60% of the noise is reduced by the cushions around the ears, and the ANC will take care of another 30% of the noise. You do not really get ‘crazy good’ performance when it tries to actively reduce the noise, however, I did not experience an ‘airplane ear’ problem that I usually have when using other ANC-enabled headphones like WH-1000XM3.

When wearing the Zen Hybrid, its button layout and operation logic won my heart. Probably it’s just me, but I found it annoying to learn new methods when using headphones manufactured by different brands. Well, maybe we don’t need all brands to have one unified way of music control, but I would rather not spend time on this matter when using a new product. As we can see in the photo, Creative put four physical buttons on the right-hand side of the headphones for Vol Up/Down, Power and ANC.

I am so glad that I don’t have to learn any new methods to change volume or go to the next/previous song when wearing Zen Hybrid. The feeling of being able to get the results you want with your intuition is just amazing. Below is a partial screenshot from the user manual for ‘how to control’. In short, most features can be achieved through a single or long press on the physical button.

If we take a close look at it, there is a little ‘bump’ on Vol+ and Power buttons designed to help the user locate buttons easily without visual attention. A small change can make a big difference. Kudos to Creative!

In terms of wireless connectivity, Zen Hybrid has a Bluetooth 5.0 chip built inside which in theory supports a range of communication up to 240 meters / 800 feet. I did not encounter any problems with connectivity on daily use, except for one time when I left the phone in the bedroom and I walked to the study. Considering that this is a 60-year-old house with double-brick walls, it was totally acceptable to have occasionally interrupted communication in this case.

Creative Zen Hybrid is a pair of headphones certified to be used with Super X-Fi profile. This technology recreates the soundstage of a set of speakers for headphones and enhances the experience through the use of computational audio and complex algorithms for better immersion. Using the headphones alone works just fine, but if you want to get the most out of these headphones, I would highly recommend trying the SXFI app; it makes a huge difference in the sound to your ears.

When launching the app for the first time, it will prompt you to start a head and ear-mapping process. This is to personalize sound and create a most tailored audio holography just for you. However, keep in mind that the SXFI app only plays music from your local storage, meaning this personalized audio experience will be inactive when using any other 3rd party media players such as Spotify and Youtube.

Super X-Fi includes presets for five equalizers and an option for custom EQ. When choosing the certified device, make sure Zen Hybrid is selected, not any other devices. If the wrong device is selected, it will likely result in an unsatisfactory sound experience. Don’t ask me how I know 🙂

I have been using the recommended SXFI music app throughout the review just to experience the best sound quality of the headphones. The Zen Hybrid is powered by two 40mm Neodymium drivers, ensuring the delivery of a thick bass punch. Dynamic drivers are battery-friendly and I personally believe this is one of the reasons why Zen Hybrid can offer a long battery usage for a single charge. The powerful bass and crispy treble are best performed by turning on the SXFI effects in the app. Interestingly, the algorithm seems to tweak the vowels in an unexpected way. It overdoes when enhancing the clarity and I personally prefer to switch off the algorithm for certain genres. As a result, I am very satisfied with what Zen Hybrid brings to my ears, especially for music with more mids and bass.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s Treasure Hunt Could Have Multiple Meanings

Thanks to its latest trailer, fans have had a more in-depth look into the upcoming pokemon scarlet and violet, providing a great deal of new information including new Pokemon, new characters, new mechanics, and its upcoming story. This comes alongside previous fan theories of Scarlet and violet exploring the past and future, but the idea of ​​hunting for treasure could be the missing link behind these concepts that will help factor them into the upcoming games.

A Pokemon Treasure Hunt

Presented as an “independent study project” by the trailer, pokemon scarlet and Violet’s treasure hunt will factor into the game as one of its three main storylines. The connection between the two implies that whatever it is the player is hunting for is something they will need to research as they progress through the region. One potential explanation is that this is how Scarlet and Violet’s new pokedex will be introduced, following Pokemon Legends: Arceus’ own pokedex with how players couldn’t just catch Pokemon to fill their entry and instead needed to perform additional certain tasks and actions. Though possible, it might not be sufficient for a full storyline, meaning the study project might be something else.


The Hunt For The Terastal Phenomenon

A likelier explanation though is that this treasure hunt will instead focus on Scarlet and Violet’s new gameplay mechanic Terastallization. Not only would this fit with the mechanic’s gemstone aesthetic under the theme of a treasure hunt, but tasking players to research and learn more about Terastallization would be an intuitive means of teaching them about the new mechanic. Additionally, allowing players to organically discover and learn about the Pokemon world through exploration as they hunt out new “treasure” will deliver a more rewarding experience, similarly encouraging players to engage with new Tera raids to discover new Tera types and Pokemon, all while completing their pokedex and completing their study project.


Past and Future Treasures

With a third storyline left unconfirmed, the remaining narrative that Scarlet and violet might explore would relate back to the fan theory of past and future factoring into the game. While many new details were revealed in this trailer, it’s likely that Game Freak saw the showcase of Terastallization to be the trailer’s focus for players to discuss afterward. Because of this, as confirmed at the start of the trailer with “voiceovers not being present in-game,” it was edited in a way that emphasized the theme of treasure.

However, even if the use of treasure was just a creative choice for the trailer, the recurrence of the theme across all other trailers and details demonstrates that Game Freak is keen to encourage players to explore, learn, research, and determine their own gameplay experiences . Papers, Please was created by indie game developer Lucas Pope and published through his production company 3909 LLC. The game was released in August 2013 for Microsoft Windows and OS X, for Linux in February 2014, for iOS on iPad in December 2014 and the PlayStation Vita in December 2017.

The game was received positively on its release and is seen as a demonstration of video games as an art form. Papers, Please has received BAFTA game awards for the Strategy and Simulation categories, and most recently won the Peabody Award for Digital Storytelling.

Pope tweeted that the smartphone version of the game includes an updated user interface and minor tweaks designed to make the game playable on mobile. If you already own the iPad app, you’ll access to the iPhone app for free, he says.
