A former Woolworths supermarket employee has been criticized over the “unprofessional” act he performed during his final shift with the retail giant.
Sharing on TikTok, the Woolies worker decided to sign off at the end of his last day with a controversial message over the store loudspeaker.

“I did a thing on my last day at Woolworths,” he wrote in the caption of the video.
In the footage, the former employee addresses co-workers and shoppers over the PA system.
“Attention please customers,” he said.
“I’d like to say that this is my last day, and I appreciate everyone working here at the moment.
“But I would also like to say ‘F*** you, Woolworths.’”
The former employee came under fire from some TikTok users over the post.

“Unprofessional as anything, hirability dropped to zero,” said one.
Added another: “The f***? Are you 17 my dude?”
A third wrote: “Won’t be getting a reference I’m guessing.”
Said one more: “Wish I was 14 again.”
Another TikTok user noted: “I’m guessing you already have a job lined up.”
