JoJo Siwa’s mother Jessalynn weighs in on Candace Cameron Bure drama

JoJo Siwa’s mother Jessalynn Siwa weighed in on the recent controversy surrounding her daughter and actress Candace Cameron Bure.

Siwa, 47, posted a video in which she explained the interaction her daughter allegedly had with Bure when she was 11-years-old. The exchange ultimately led to JoJo, 19, calling the Fuller House actress the ‘rudest celebrity’ she had ever met in a now-viral TikTok video.

‘I talked about this on my podcast a while back,’ she posted to Instagram. ‘The recent story told wasn’t quite right so here is the real version. At the end of the day this story, it’s not about a simple photo it’s about how you treat people.

‘Real, genuine kindness always goes a long way. It’s super easy to quote a Bible verse when everyone is looking at you but morals are what you have when no one is looking,’ she added.

In the video, Jessalyn recounted the exchange between her daughter and Bure. The two briefly interacted at the Fuller House premiere when JoJo asked Bure, who played DJ Tanner on the show, for a photo.

‘JoJo ran into DJ and was like, “Oh, my God, I love you so much. Can we please take a selfie?”‘ Jessalynn said. ‘And she was like, “Not now. Maybe later.” Word for word, “Not now, maybe later.”‘ she explained.

‘Fast forward, we go on the Kelly Clarkson show, who was on the day JoJo… I go, “If she even asks for a picture, please say not now maybe later. Just kidding, don’t say that.” ‘

Asked if there was any interaction that day, she said, ‘No, she just couldn’t be bothered,’ she explained. ‘And you know what, maybe she was having an emergency and her kid was crying and she was trying to get a hold of the babysitter, I do not know what was going on, but it’s funny when you don’t know and somebody treats you like that? Not now, maybe later?

And it’s hard to be a celebrity, I’ll give it to you, but that was so long ago. I can’t even tell you and I still remember it.’

The JoJo-Candace controversy erupted last week after the former Dance Moms star called the Fuller House actress the ‘rudest celebrity’ she had ever met in a now-viral TikTok clip.

Bure revealed in a subsequent Instagram post she ended up calling Siwa over the matter, who explained why exactly she publicly bashed the actress as ‘rude.’

The Full House star said Siwa told her the comment stemmed from an incident when the pair met on a red carpet when the former Dance Moms star was just 11 years old. Siwa claimed she asked Bure for a photo at the timeā€”but that Bure told her ‘not right now,’ and then she never returned for the photo despite moving on to take photos with others.

Bure, who is a devout Christian, admitted that the teenager’s story ‘broke her heart’, and revealed that she offered up an apology to Siwa, telling her: ‘I broke your 11-year-old heart. Please know that as a mom that it breaks my heart that I made you feel that way.’

‘All good on the JoJo front,’ Candace said after summarizing their conversation.

But in video obtained by Page Six, JoJo alleged the actress ‘didn’t share all the details of the meeting’.

‘It’s one of those memories that little 11-year-old me was just stuck with. And it was at the after party that she didn’t want to take a picture with me,’ she explained last week.

‘And I was okay with that, but then I turned around, and when I looked back, she was taking pictures with other kids. And that’s what made me really, really upset.

‘It’s just one of those memories that whenever you’re little, somebody says something to you and you just like never forget it for as long as you live.’

‘We had about a 10 minute conversation and it was sweet. She apologized and we talked and it was cool. It was nice,’ she added.

Jane Fonda, 84, opens up about her face lift admitting she is ‘not proud’ and will not get another

Jane Fonda recently discussed her regret of getting a face lift in the past as she grew older.

The talented 84-year-old actress has been in the Hollywood scene for decades, and recently starred in the hit series, Grace And Frankie.

In an interview with Vogue published on Tuesday, the star openly admitted she had gotten a face lift, but wouldn’t repeat the procedure.

The Book Club actress appeared in a recent H&M Move campaign, which prompted Jane to sit down with Vogue to discuss the new collaboration. The collection of ‘movewear’ items is set to be available on August 4.

Amidst the interview, the award-winning star talked about her face lift when on the topic of aging.

‘I had a facelift and I stopped because I don’t want to look distorted. I’m not proud of the fact that I had one,’ she stated.

The 9 To 5 star also added, ‘Now, I don’t know if I had it to do over if I would do it. But I did it. I admit it, and then I just say, okay, you can get addicted. Don’t keep doing it. A lot of women, I don’t know, they’re addicted to it.’

Jane touched on how aging didn’t have to be scary, and that she wanted to bring awareness that there are ways to age in both positive and healthy ways.

‘I want young people to stop being afraid about getting older. What matters isn’t age, isn’t that chronological number. What matters is your health.’

‘I’m almost 85, but I don’t seem that old,’ she explained. ‘So getting young people to stop being afraid of being old, helping people realize that just because you’re a certain age doesn’t mean you have to give up on life…’

The Oscar-winning talent explained how grateful she was that she is still healthy for her age.

‘I mean, every day when I get out of a car, I thank the goddesses that I have strong thighs, that I’ve worked out to keep strong thighs,’ she said.

Jane has reflected on aging before, and in an interview with Glamor earlier in May, she explained that she wanted to have no regrets as she continued to grow older.

‘One of the things that I knew for sure is that I didn’t want to get to the end with a lot of regrets, so how I lived up until the end was what was going to determine whether or not I had regrets,’ the star stated to the publication.

‘It totally changed the way I thought about myself and about how I wanted to live the last third of my life. And I realized the importance of being intentional about how we go through life.’

The talented actress continues to be active and works out, from simple walks in nature to fitness routines.

‘When you get older, you realize that staying healthy is joyful and critical because age isn’t so much chronology. You can be very old at 84, which is my age, but you can also be very young,’ she told Glamour.

Jane began acting on the Broadway stage, with her Hollywood career kicking off in the 1960s, starring in successful films such as Sunday In New York (1963) and Barbarella (1968).

She won two Academy Awards for Best Actress in the 1970s, garnering various other nominations and awards in the years to follow.

Aside from being passionate to being on the big screen, the star has had a love for dance and fitness for years.

Beyonce REMOVES Kelis sample from her song after Milkshake artist accused singer of ‘theft’

Beyonce has apparently removed a sample of the 2003 Kelis song Milkshake from her song Energy, following criticism from Kelis over the sample.

The song Energy – from the latest album Renaissance from Beyonce, 40 – had revised versions on Tidal and Apple as of Tuesday, according to Rolling Stone. At one point, a glitch occurred on Tidal, with just the isolated vocals featured and almost two minutes of silence.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the version of Energy featuring the Kelis sample remained the same on the Spotify version as of Tuesday.

The latest: Beyonce, 40, has removed a sample of the 2003 Kelis song Milkshake from her song Energy, following criticism from Kelis, 42, over the sample

The 2003 hit from Kelis was penned by Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo (formerly known as The Neptunes), who both were credited on the Beyonce track, though Kelis wasn’t. Beyonce’s website indicated that the samples used on the track were interpolated, altering the existing sound for a new song.

Kelis last week accused Beyonce of ‘theft’ for allegedly using a sample of a track off her 2003 album Tasty on her new album without permission.

The performer, 42, didn’t hold back after discovering that the superstar, 40, used a short section from her song, Milkshake, on her forthcoming track, Energy, alongside the rest of the world.

After a fan account for the two-time Grammy nominee posted about the news, Kelis commented that she was shocked by the song credit and angered not to have any advance notice.

‘My mind is blown too much because the level of disrespect and utter ignorance all 3 parties involved is astounding,’ she said. ‘I heard about this the same way everyone else did. Nothing is ever as it seems, some of the people in this business have no soul or integrity and they have everyone fooled.’

In response to one comment that Beyonce clearly admires her work, Kelis replied: ‘Admire is not the word.’

When another expressed excitement about them working together, the mom-of-two, who was writing under her celebrity chef account @bountyandfull, claimed: ‘It’s not a collab it’s theft.’

Kelis later took to Instagram calling the track Milkshake ‘one of the most licensed records of our generation.’

She added: ‘I am a creator, I’m an innovator, I have done more then left my mark on an era of music and style that will go down in history. But there are [bullies] and secrets and gangsters in this industry that smile and get away with it until someone says enough is enough. So I’m saying it today. I’m coming for what’s mine and I want reparations. Peace.’

Previously Kelis fans called out Beyonce for ‘ripping off’ Ring the Alarm from Caught out There.

Beyonce’s upcoming record will be the seventh she has produced over her much-celebrated career.

She also penned a lengthy statement that was shared on her Instagram account, in which she noted that the recording process was thoroughly enjoyable.

‘Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world. It allowed me to feel free and adventurous in a time when little else was moving,’ she stated.

Beyonce added: ‘My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment. A place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking. A place to scream, release, feel freedom. It was a beautiful journey of exploration.’

She concluded by writing: ‘I hope you find joy in this music. I hope it inspires you to release the wiggle. He has! And to feel as unique, strong, and sexy as you are.’

Renaissance’s first single, Break My Soul, was previously released to the public on June 20.

The hitmaker worked with several artists, including Big Freedia and her husband, Jay-Z, to produce the track.

The song has since received widespread critical acclaim from many music critics.

Beyonce initially teased that she was working on new music during an interview with Harper’s Bazaar last August.

During the sit-down with the media outlet, the Drunk In Love singer expressed that her recording process had been particularly arduous.

‘I’ve been in the studio for a year and a half. Sometimes it takes a year for me to personally search through thousands of sounds to find just the right kick or snare,’ she said.

Beyonce then confirmed that she still loved making music and that she was happy to be working on new material.

She expressed: ‘After 31 years, it feels just as exciting as it did when I was nine years old. Yes, the music is coming!’

The highly anticipated record, which was scheduled to be released at midnight on Thursday, can be found online and CDs are already being sold in Europe, according to Variety.

The album was leaked on Wednesday.

Miss Universe Jennifer Hawkins looks almost unrecognizable in resurfaced Ralph magazine cover

An image of Jennifer Hawkins looking barely recognizable at the beginning of her modeling career has left fans scratching their heads.

This week, an image of Jennifer’s 2004 Ralph magazine cover resurfaced on Instagram influencer watchdog account Celeb Spellcheck.

The racy photo was taken months after Jennifer won the prestigious Miss Universe pageant, and showed the blonde posing suggestively in a skimpy red bikini.

Many users commented on just how different Jennifer looked, with one writing: ‘Wow Jen Hawkins is unrecognizable!’

‘It doesn’t even look like her’, another user agreed, while someone else added: ‘There is no way that’s Jennifer Hawkins – really?!’

At the time of her Ralph photo shoot, Jennifer sported pencil-thin eyebrows and had much thinner-looking lips.

She has since adopted a fuller, more natural-looking eyebrow style and now sports a noticeably fuller pout – perhaps thanks to clever makeup techniques.

Jennifer has been the subject of plastic surgery rumors for years, but has never discussed whether she’s gone under the knife.

In 2018, Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Randal Haworth offered his expert opinion on Jennifers’ evolving look, telling Daily Mail Australia at the time: ‘I often see pretty girls like Jennifer wanting to fine-tune their features to enter ‘supermodel’ territory .’

According to Dr. Haworth, who has not treated Jennifer himself, she has invested in some minor improvements to ‘improve facial balance as a whole’.

‘Most people would scratch their heads as to how a former Miss Universe could possibly improve upon her already-idolized face,’ he said.

‘Her new and more glamorous appearance has been helped by a rhinoplasty to refine and elevate her nasal tip while narrowing her asymmetrical nasal bones.’

Despite being a household name for more than 15 years, Jennifer has hardly aged a day and is arguably more beautiful now than she was in her early twenties.

Dr. Haworth believes that the former Myer ambassador has indulged in ‘fillers to her cheeks and other areas of her face’, as well as Botox.

‘I strongly suspect she also underwent lip augmentation for added sensuality and improved facial balance as a whole,’ he added.

In 2010, Jennifer attributed her drastic change in appearance to healthy eating, exercise and makeup.

‘Women get better with age, because they are more confident with themselves. It’s all about makeup and health,’ she said on The Kyle and Jackie O Show.

Jennifer has previously danced around the topic of plastic surgery when quizzed on her age-defying looks.

In 2014 she told The Australian Women’s Weekly that it was the nature of the fashion industry to be accused of having cosmetic surgery.

‘When someone says ‘under the knife’ I don’t have a reaction,’ she said.

‘Everyone in the industry gets that. That’s fine. I’m cool with that. I’m cool with people having an opinion, but as I said, I am happy with who I am as a person and really just want to live my life.’

In 2016, the former Australia’s Next Top Model judge claimed it was a personal choice if people wanted to invest in plastic surgery.

Major influencer bust-up between Sophie Cachia and Mia Plecic as they cut business ties

Two of Australia’s most controversial influencers have reportedly cut business ties following a string of public relations gaffes.

Mummy blogger Sophie Cachia and haircare entrepreneur Mia Plecic announced last year they were launching a ‘gender-neutral’ cosmetics brand together called Aisuru.

Cachia, a former footy WAG who famously left her husband and became engaged to a woman in 2020, previously found success with her eponymous pajamas brand and multimedia company Shaw Media.

Controversial influencers Sophie Cachia (left) and Mia Plecic (right) have reportedly cut business ties after a series of PR disasters

Mia is known for her multimillion-dollar hair products company, Slick Hair Co.

But this week, Cachia announced that Aisuru was now ‘a one-woman show’, apparently confirming Plecic had left the business.

Outspoken the Podcast, which documents the misadventures of social media stars, speculated this week that the pair’s friendship had also broken down.

Tellingly, Plecic has removed all references to Aisuru from her social media bio and also unfollowed the brand on Instagram.

The former business partners have also unfollowed each other’s personal accounts.

Plecic has since released a statement to Daily Mail Australia that seemingly contradicts Cachia’s claim about Aisuru being a ‘one-woman show’.

‘I am still a Director of AISURU and an equal shareholder to Sophie. I just took a step back as Slick Hair Company is going through huge international growth and I need to focus on the brand that is growing,’ Plecic said.

Aisuru has been plagued by controversy since its launch earlier this year.

In February, Cachia was called out for practicing poor hygiene while conducting a ‘quality control’ exercise on her new lipstick line.

The hosts of Outspoken, sisters Amy, Sophie and Kate Taeuber, also speculated this week that Plecic’s controversial views on Covid-19 and vaccine mandates possibly drove a wedge between the business partners.

In June, Plecic sparked outrage by comparing Australia’s vaccine mandates to the overturning of Roe v. Wade by the US Supreme Court.

The court’s ruling ends the constitutional right to abortion across America, meaning individual states can now decide whether abortion should be legal.

Reacting to the landmark decision, Plecic wrote on Instagram: ‘Why is it okay to be pro-choice about one human right but not the other?’

However, the use of the term in the context of vaccines is highly controversial, with women’s rights activists saying the two issues cannot be compared.

‘The same people who are against freedom of choice with mandates are the same people who are screaming freedom of choice about abortions,’ added Plecic in her post.

The entrepreneur, who made headlines last year for sharing anti-lockdown and anti-vaccine views on social media, continued: ‘It doesn’t work like that. Freedom of choice regardless of your narrative.’

Plecic soon received backlash online, with major online retailer Showpo reportedly vowing to remove Slick Hair Co. products from its store, according to this alleged Instagram exchange between a customer and a Showpo representative

Aussie Influencer Opinions posted a screenshot purportedly showing an anonymous user messaging Showpo’s official Instagram account asking why the company stocked a product ‘with such a problematic company owner such as Mia Plecic’.

A Showpo customer service representative replied: ‘As a brand we will not be renewing our partnership with Slick Hair Company to stock their products on our website and we’re effectively exiting out of this brand.’

She also used this post to clarify that she is pro-choice when it comes to abortion.

‘The teachers are all very impressed with her and say the sky’s the limit if she wants to take it to the next level, and Shiloh may just do that.’

When asked by ET on Monday if he thinks his kids may go into acting like he or Jolie, he said he just wants them to be happy.

‘I love when they find their own way, find things they are interested in and flourish,’ Pitt said of his children.

He has three bio kids with Angie: Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivienne. And three that were adopted: Maddox, Pax and Zahara.

This comes after Jolie said Zahara had landed a place at the historically black liberal arts college for women and will be relocating to Atlanta, Georgia, in the coming months.

Angelina shared a photo of her 17-year-old daughter and some of her fellow students, some of whom were in Spelman shirts, and wrote on Instagram:

‘Zahara with her Spelman sisters! Congratulations to all new students starting this year. A very special place and an honor to have a family member as a new Spelman girl. #spelman #spelmancollege #spelmansisters #HBCU.’

The former couple’s eldest son, 20-year-old Maddox studied at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea, though his classes moved online and he returned to the US during the COVID-19 pandemic. Their second son, Pax, now 18, graduated last summer but is not believed to have taken up a place at college.

Meanwhile, the 47-year-old actress previously joked Zahara is a better organize than her.

She said: ‘I want to give them a bit of structure. I try to make schedules at home. My daughter Zahara is better at organizing things than I am.’

She has also opened up about how she adopted some of her children, and how exciting and wonderful their journeys have been.

She previously said: ‘Each is a beautiful way of becoming a family. What is important is to speak with openness about all of it and to share. ‘Adoption’ and ‘orphanage’ are positive words in our home. With my adopted children, I can’t speak of pregnancy, but I speak in great detail and love about the journey to find them and what it was like to look in their eyes for the first time. All adopted children come with a beautiful mystery of a world that is meeting yours.’

Bullet Train will be released in theaters on August 5.

‘Which music video do you prefer? Beauties or Geeks? My song is available on Spotify/etc. EVERYONE has been asking (no one has asked),’ she said.

In August last year, Sophie announced that she was making a comeback to the music scene, releasing her first single in 17 years.

‘It’s taken me years to be ready to release a song and this happened so organically for me, I felt like the time was right,’ she told Daily Mail Australia in a statement.

‘People know me originally as a singer in Australia, so it’s nice to be going back to my number one love,’ she continued.

The jazz-inspired single was written by Monk during her time in Melbourne filming The Masked Singer.

In the sultry song, Sophie’s raspy voice is heard singing the cryptic lyrics.

‘I’ve seen some things, that would make a grown man cry. So many things, that I have to leave behind. So complicated, but I prefer the simple life.’

Sophie says for the first time in her musical career she feels like she is in complete control after deciding to release her new music independently via Ditto Music.

Doing her own thing: 'It's taken me years to be ready to release a song and this happened so organically for me, I felt like the time was right,' she told Daily Mail Australia in a statement

‘I feel like I am in complete control and I’m just excited by the opportunity to be able to do this, I hope everyone enjoys the song it as much as I did recording it,’ she said.

In December last year, Sophie teased a brand new solo single on Instagram – one which sounds very different to her days in noughties girl band, Bardot.

She was last seen on screen in 2005 and now lives in Hollywood.

The actors-turned-pop stars weren’t the only special guests who returned to Ramsay Street on Thursday evening to say goodbye to the soap after 37 years on air.

The characters Harold Bishop (Ian Smith), Shane Ramsay (Peter O’Brien), Izzy Hoyland (Natalie Bassingthwaighte) and Mike Young (Guy Pearce) all featured heavily in the show’s swansong.

They were joined by returning favorites Joel Samuels (Daniel MacPherson), Joe Mangel (Mark Little), Amy Greenwood (Jacinta Stapleton), Nina Tucker (Delta Goodrem) and Des Clarke, memorably played by Paul Keane.

Kylie Minogue, best known for playing Charlene Robinson, and Jason Donovan, who played Scott Robinson, also reprized their roles, as did Melissa Bell, who portrayed Lucy Robinson.

Holly’s younger half-sister Olympia Valance, who portrayed Paige Smith, was also involved in the finale.

They were joined by Jane Harris (played by Annie Jones), Donna Freedman (Margot Robbie) and the ghost of the late Madge Bishop (Anne Charleston).

Neighbors announced in March that production would cease on the long-running soap due to lack of financial backing after losing their ‘key broadcast partner in the UK’, Channel 5.
