A woman died after she was impaled by a beach umbrella near Myrtle Beach, according to the coroner. Garden City is more 10 miles south of Myrtle Beach. The woman was struck and impaled by the umbrella and taken to the emergency room, Willard said. Willard said Tammy Perreault died from chest trauma at 1:30 pm Willard said Perreault was 63-years-old and from Garden City. Scotty’s Beach Bar posted on Facebook about Perreault’s death of her.
