Networks revamped their schedules last night following the sad passing of music icon Olivia Newton-John.
While breakfast TV and news bulletins went all out in coverage yesterday there was also room for nostalgia with Nine’s replay of grease (1978) drawing 442,000 meter viewers and winning its timeslot, outranking Seven’s miniseries Olivia Newton-John: Hopelessly Devoted to You (221,000).
earlier The Block led its slot at 775,000 defeating 7:30 (457,000), MKR (450,000), The Masked Singer‘s 449,000 (rising to 504,000 for the reveal of The Thong), Great Southern Landscapes (337,000) and the end Who Do You Think You Are? (232,000).
meanwhile The Cheap Seats was 387,000 then catalyst (276,000) and Insight (184,000).
A Commonwealth Games Closing Ceremony replay pulled 98,000 with Highlights at 59,000 and a Live broadcast at 35,000.
Nine network won Tuesday with 33.6% then Seven 26.0%, 10 17.6%, ABC 14.5% and SBS 8.3%.
Nine News was 880,000 / 863,000 for Nine with A Current Affair winning at 708,000. hotseat was 402,000 / 228,000).
Seven News was #1 at 938,000 / 934,000. Home&Away drew 536,000 then TheChase winning with 529,000 / 323,000.
The Project pulled 373,000 / 252,000 for 10. 10 News First was 313,000 / 213,000. NCIS was 142,000.
ABCNews drew 575,000. thedrum (180,000) and Art Works (115,000) followed.
On SBS it was SBS World News (142,000 / 128,000) and Dateline (93,000).
The Adventures of Paddington topped multichannels at 132,000.
