Intel confirms VPU chip for Meteor Lake CPU, proves leaker right again

Intel is definitely adding a VPU chip to its new 14th Gen Core “Meteor Lake” CPUs that will debut in Q3 2023, a year from now: with the VPU confirmed as the Versatile Processing Unit.

Intel confirms VPU chip for Meteor Lake CPU, proves leaker right again 03 | TweakTown.com

The new Intel UPV was teased close to a year ago by leaker Moore’s Law is Dead, yet another leak of his confirmed… MLID explained back in September 2021: “Meteor Lake will get an integrated VPU Accelerator. It’s similar to the Neural in the Apple M1 for speech recognition, language models, and conceivably tons of apps by the time Meteor Lake launches“.

Intel confirmed the Versatile Processing Unit (VPU) in a new commit to Linux VPU driver. The new VPU driver was baked into the Linux Direct Rendering Manager (DRM) in the same fashion that graphics drivers get integrated.

Intel’s upcoming Versatile Processing Unit inside of the new 14th Gen Core “Meteor Lake” CPUs will be one of the Tiles inside, as Intel is moving into a new Tile-based CPU architecture. The new hybrid architecture that Intel will be using packs Redwood Cove and Crestmont CPU cores into the latest Intel Xe-LPG graphics architecture. Intel might be suffering with its GPU department now, but things will get better over time and Meteor Lake is going to (hopefully) come in like a wrecking ball against AMD in 2023 and beyond.

Intel says that the new VPU is a CPU-integrated inference accelerator for Computer Vision and Deep Learning applications. As for the VPU device itself, it will have the following components:

  • buttress: provides CPU to VPU integration, interrupt, frequency and power management.
  • Memory Management Unit (based on ARM MMU-600): translates VPU to host DMA addresses, isolates user workloads.
  • RISC-based microcontroller: executes firmware that provides job execution API for the kernel-mode driver.
  • Neural Compute Subsystem (NCS): does the actual work, provides Compute and Copy engines.
  • Network on Chip (NoC): network fabric connecting all the components.

MSI Prestige 14 Evo A12M – Featherweight Contender – channelnews

In the world of business notebooks, portability is king – with more people either working remotely or splitting their time between the home and office, consumers want a computer that they can carry around without straining a back muscle, yet still has the power they need for whatever the job can throw at them.

Enter the MSI Prestige 14 Evo: a svelte, lightweight business notebook with 12th-gen Intel processor. Coming in at a hair under 1.3 kilos, it’s certainly not chore to lift – but can it carry its own weight in terms of performance?

Design and Features

Straight away, you can tell that this notebook means business. It’s super stylish, coming in your choice of Carbon Gray or Bluestone, with a lovely matte feel and the MSI logo embossed on the lid; the grille for cooling is tucked away on the bottom.

The keyboard has backlit white illumination with three brightness settings (not counting “off”), and is just nice to type on in general – the keys are satisfyingly clicky and feel good under the fingers, if that sort of thing concerns you. I typed this whole review on it, in fact, and never hated doing it. Good news for the ergonomically-conscious as well – when open, the keyboard sits at a five-degree angle, making it comfortable for typing and reducing strain on your wrists, as well as allowing for better airflow underneath.

Below the keyboard is a touchpad with built-in fingerprint reader in the upper left-hand corner. The touchpad is responsive, and nice and wide as well, so you’ll always be assured of having enough room for all your navigational needs (especially considering that the display is not a touchscreen); speaking of the fingerprint reader, Windows Hello is also enabled if you prefer facial recognition.

The Prestige 14 Evo is definitely a notebook for those on the go: it’s only 15.9mm thick and weighs just 1.29kg, meaning it ranks up there with the very thinnest and lightest laptops I’ve ever come across. That said, this does come with a few sacrifices in terms of ports: while there are two Thunderbolt ports, either of which can be used for charging, there’s no HDMI out; it also has one USB-A port, a microSD reader, and a 3.5mm combo jack, and that’s about it. Be prepared to hook up a hub or an adapter if you want to plug in more than a couple of things at a time. Wireless connectivity is good, though – the 14 Evo comes with Killer ax Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth v5.2 built-in.

One more feature worth mentioning, as this is after all a business notebook: the built-in webcam is another 720p affair. I’m not sure what it actually looks like in use, since the one on our review unit didn’t appear to be working (which I’m willing to chalk up to the specific unit rather than the product in general), but we really should be going beyond 720p in this day and age where remote and hybrid work is so prevalent.

Display and Sound

The Prestige 14 Evo comes equipped with a low-power 14-inch 1080p IPS display, and while it was crisp and sharp, I’ll admit I’ve seen smoother: scrolling seemed a little choppy despite the 60Hz refresh rate. There also seemed to be a slight warm cast, at least to my eyes, and colors just didn’t seem to pop like they do on other screens – definitely on the dim side, even at maximum brightness. It’s not the worst laptop display I’ve used, but I’ve certainly used better.

In a similar vein: you’re probably not buying a business notebook for the audio, and that’s good, because the audio is definitely not what you’d want to buy this notebook for. The two bottom-firing 2W speakers are very tinny, and just unpleasant to listen to – I definitely wouldn’t want to get through a whole movie, podcast, or TV show on these. Thankfully the trusty 3.5mm headphone jack, whose continued absence is lamented on mobile phones, is still alive and well on notebooks (at least for now).

Performance

For such a light notebook, the 14 Evo punches solidly above its weight class in terms of silicon, boasting a 12th-generation Intel Core i7 processor with Iris Xe graphics. It comes with up to 32GB RAM; our review unit had 16GB, which seemed more than enough for what it is. You probably won’t be doing intensive 3D modeling, but it will handle Zoom meetings, Photoshop, and other day-to-day activities just fine.

Power is supplied by a three-cell, 53.8-watt-hour battery. While you won’t be running for the charger in a hurry, I will note that over about four hours of relatively light activity – including some time left to sit unattended – the notebook did chew through a little under 30% of the total battery capacity , so you may want to keep an eye on the power if you’re looking to do more intensive work.

Another plus: heat seems to be largely a non-factor. I was able to get through a full afternoon, including video streaming, without the temperature rising appreciably or even hearing the fan kick in once; the airflow from that ergonomic hinge appears to do wonders.

verdict

There’s a lot of good in the MSI Prestige 14 Evo A12M – the low weight, the processing power, the gorgeous design – but its flaws do let it down. With a better display, better audio, better webcam, and maybe some improvement to the battery, this could be a truly great business notebook. As it stands, it’s certainly one worth considering, and you could do a lot worse at the price point if you can look past these little niggles – but it wouldn’t be my first choice.

pros

  • Ultra-lightweight, thin, and easy to carry
  • Beautiful, stylish and business-oriented design
  • Great keyboard with ergonomic hinge
  • Stays cool despite extended use
  • Latest 12th-generation Intel Core i7 processor with Iris Xe graphics
  • Up to 32GB RAM
  • Good wireless connectivity

Cons

  • Disappointing display and audio
  • 720p webcam
  • Limited physical port selection
  • Battery could be beefier

RATING: 7.5/10

Intel Core i7-13700K Raptor Lake CPU Overclocked To 6 GHz Across All Raptor Cove Cores

An alleged video showing the Intel Core i7-13700K Raptor Lake CPU has popped up which shows an impressive 6 GHz overclock across all Raptor Cove cores. We just got the gaming benchmarks of the same chip a few hours ago and now we can look at what sort of capabilities will be on offer when it comes to overclocking.

Intel Raptor Lake Core i7-13700K 16 Core CPU Overclocked To 6 GHz Across All Raptor Cove Cores

The upcoming Intel 13th Gen Raptor Lake lineup is going to be an optimization of 12th Gen Alder Lake CPUs, featuring Raptor Cove cores with enhanced cache structuring, faster clocks, & also an increase to the number of Gracemont E-Cores. The CPUs have also been highlighted to offer some great overclocking capabilities and it looks like we have the first overclocking figures coming to us from Videocardz and Twitter users, @QXE87 & @esperonslaie.

Intel Core i7-13700K 16 Core Raptor Lake CPU Specs

The Intel Core i7-13700K CPU will be the fastest 13th Gen Core i7 chip on offer within the Raptor Lake CPU lineup. The chip features a total of 16 cores and 24 threads. This configuration is made possible with 8 P-Cores based on the Raptor Cove architecture and 8 E-Cores based on the Grace Mont core architecture. The CPU comes with 30 MB of L3 cache and 24 MB of L2 cache for a total combined 54 MB cache. The chip was running at a base clock of 3.4 GHz and a boost clock of 5.40 GHz. The all-core boost is rated at 5.3 GHz for the P-Cores while the E-Cores feature a base clock of 3.4 GHz and a boost clock of 4.3 GHz.

  • Core i7-13700K 8+8 (16/24) – 3.4 / 5.3 GHz – 54 MB Cache, 125W (PL1) / 244W (PL2)?
  • Core i7-12700K 8+4 (12/20) – 3.6 / 5.0 GHz, 25MB Cache, 125W (PL1) / 190W (PL2)

Intel Core i7-13700K 16 Core Raptor Lake CPU Overclocking

So there are a total of three benchmarks of the alleged Intel Core i7-13700K Raptor Lake CPU with overclocked frequencies. First and foremost, we have the chip running at 6 GHz on an MSI MEG Z690I Unify motherboard. This overclocking demonstration had just the 8 Raptor Cove P-Cores enabled and clocked at 6.0 GHz with a voltage supply of 1.421V.

Intel Core i7-13700K Raptor Lake CPU allegedly overclocked to 6 GHz on all 8 Raptor Cove cores. (Image Credits: Videocardz)

The CPU temperatures should be disregarded since the PC is in the idle state so we can’t say what the maximum temps or power input was when running the CPU-z benchmark. What we do know is that the chip scored 983.3 points in single-core and 7814.7 points in multi-core tests.

Intel Core i7-13700K Raptor Lake CPU allegedly overclocked to 5.8 GHz on all 8 Raptor Cove cores. (Image Credits: Videocardz)

The second benchmark is with the whole 8 P-Core and 8 E-Cores enabled. We can see that the P-Cores are clocked at 5.8 GHz and the E-Cores are clocked at 3.7 GHz. The voltage was maintained much higher at 1.501V but it should be pointed out that the user wasn’t running this under LN2 and a high-end liquid cooler was being used. With this overclock, the Intel Core i7-13700K Raptor Lake 16-core chip scored 947 points in single-core and 12896 points in multi-core tests.

Core i7-13700K 8P-Core @ 6GHz

What is really interesting here is that even with a lower 3.70 GHz clock speeds, the E-Cores are responsible for 40% of the performance. This is why we have seen such a big performance uplift in multithreaded workloads for the leaked Raptor Lake CPUs.

  • Intel Core i7-13700K 8 P-Cores @ 6.0 GHz / No E-Cores – 7817.4
  • Intel Core i7-13700K 8 P-Cores & 5.8 GHz / 8 E-Cores @ 3.7 GHz – 12896 Points

Lastly, we have the chip running at 5.9 GHz across all P-Cores and here, we can actually see the power and temperatures that the chip produced. With a voltage supply of 1.447V, the CPU was maxing out at 86C with a power consumption of 238W (CPU Package Power). Now I was expecting the temperatures and power figures to be much higher but we should remember that these are just the 8 P-Cores that are active. Enabling the E-Cores should result in even higher power draw & temps for the chip.

The Intel 13th Gen Raptor Lake Desktop CPUs including the flagship Core i9-13900K is expected to launch in October on the Z790 platform. The CPUs will be going up against AMD’s Ryzen 7000 CPU lineup which also launches in Fall 2022.

When will Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is getting eight shiny new courses this August, including a range of returning favourites. Of the tracks included, Waluigi Pinball, is perhaps the most beloved, but there are also some major surprises in Wave 2 as well – including a new-to-the-series track known as Sky-High Sundae.

Sydney, Australia is also making its mainline franchise debut with this wave. Sydney Sprint, a track that takes players around the city’s Luna Park, the Sydney Harbor Bridge, and an idyllic promenade, is being adapted from mario kart tour and will inject the game with a distinctly Aussie flavour.

Read: Please, please let Delfino Square join Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Here’s every new track included in the second wave of the Booster Course Pass:

Turnip Cup

  • New York Minute (tours)
  • Mario Circuit 3 (Super)
  • Kalamari Desert (64)
  • Waluigi Pinball (DS)

Propeller Cup

  • Sydney Sprint (tours)
  • Snow Land (Super Circuit)
  • Mushroom Gorge (Wii)

When will Wave 2 of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe track release?

No exact time has been confirmed for the release of the new Mario Kart 8 Deluxe tracks – although based on precedent, they will likely be available in the early morning of 5 August 2022.

Wave 1 of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe tracks launched around 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. AEST in March, and we can expect similar timing for this lot. Your best bet is to check your Nintendo Switch console during your lunch break or morning tea.

Should the tracks be available, you’ll be able to manually push through a game update, and get racing. Even if you don’t purchase the Booster Course pack, you may be able to hop into the new tracks by racing others online and hoping a new course is picked.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass Wave 2 will be available for players on 5 August. If you haven’t already purchased the new pack, you can grab it from the Nintendo eShop.

Woman finds mold growing inside her car after leaving it covered during the wet season

Cleaning expert is horrified to find the inside of her car COVERED in dangerous mold after leaving it covered during wet weather

  • Sydney cleaning pro Anita Birges was shocked by what she found in her car
  • In a video she said the Mazda hadn’t been touched for months and was covered
  • No air flow and damp conditions made it the perfect mold breeding ground
  • The front seats, steering wheel and floor were all covered in green mold
  • Seeking help online, Anita has no idea how to tackle the situation

An organization expert has been given the shock of her life after finding mold growing inside her husband’s old car.

Anita Birges, who heads Mise en Place Professional Organizing, is on a mission to stop mold from growing in her home, but admitted she had no idea how to remove it from the Mazda.

In a video, Anita can be seen recording herself and her husband standing outside the car then shows the green mold infestation growing on the front seats, steering wheel and carpet.

'This is what happens when you leave a car in hibernation during the wettest year Sydney has ever seen,' Anita wrote online

In a video posted online on Sunday, Anita can be seen recording herself and her husband standing outside the car then shows the green mold infestation growing on the front seats, steering wheel and carpet

‘This is what happens when you leave a car in hibernation during the wettest year Sydney has ever seen,’ Anita wrote online.

The car hadn’t been touched for months and was kept for Anita’s husband’s teenage daughter who is expected to start driving at the end of the year.

‘Little did we know that when we went to move it out of the driveway today that we would get this beautiful surprise,’ Anita continued.

‘To say I was completely shocked is an understatement. I have NEVER seen mold like this in my life‼️’

Since the car was left untouched after months of rain, it became the perfect breeding ground of mold due to a lack of air flow.

Anita is known for sharing how to remove mold from leather jackets, bags, blinds, kids toys and lunchboxes, but was stumped at how to tackle the car.

As mold can significantly impact your health, it’s important to leave the clean to professionals if needed, which is what Anita chose to do.

‘You know me, I’m willing to give anything a red hot go and I love finding a good DIY cleaning solution. But I am not afraid to put my hands up and say that this is way too much for me to handle and I need some expert advice,’ she said.

Seeking help online she asked other social media users for recommendations and if the car is salvageable.

Supercheap Auto’s website warns mold can be a health hazard.

‘If you find mold growing in your vehicle then it is a sign that there is an excess of moisture build up – most often due to a leaky seal around a door or window,’ it says.

‘Not only is mold smelly and unsightly, but it can also be very dangerous. Mold spores can cause severe respiratory issues, especially in children, the elderly and people who suffer from asthma and other existing conditions.

‘For these people, mold can cause nasal stuffiness, throat irritation, coughing or wheezing, eye irritation, or, in some cases, skin irritation.’

How to remove mold from your home:

Anita recommends first cleaning the area with a homemade solution spray followed by a ‘prevention solution’

1. To make the cleaning solution, pour equal parts isopropyl alcohol and warm water into a spray bottle

2. Apply to the area and leave on for 10 minutes

3. Wipe over with microfibre cloth

4. Next make the mold prevention solution using 10 drops clove oil, 10 drops tea tree oil and 100ml white vinegar

5. Spray the solution onto surfaces and area around the home – such as the shower, windowsills, roller blinds, etc.

Ferrari ready to battle Porsche at Bathurst with new V6 racer

An all-new Ferrari 296 racer that taps technology from Formula One will face-off against the new Porsche 911 GT3 RS at Mount Panorama in the Bathurst 12-Hour race.

ferrari has unveiled the road car-based 296 GT3 racer it will pitch into battle against the latest Porsche 911 GT3 R – and a host of other contenders – in global GT3 racing from 2023.

The new 296 GT3 is likely to headline the entry next year’s Bathurst 12-Hour race, the opening event on the Intercontinental GT Challenge series, in the first week of February.

Its first public appearance came straight after Porsche unveiled its latest 911-based car for GT3 racing, the 911 GT3 R, as sports car companies get set for a new round of post-COVID motorsport around the world.

The 296 GT3 is based on the 296 GTB road car, and the biggest change — apart from its giant wings and racing bodywork — is the absence of the electric motor and hybrid system that contributes an extra 123kW and 315Nm.

That leaves the racer with a mid-engined twin-turbo V6 engine that makes 440kW and 710Nm, fed through a six-speed sequential manual gearbox — down from an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic in the road car — to the rear wheels.

Ferrari has not revealed any performance figures but, with its weight stripped to just 1250kg, it will be significantly quicker on a track than the road car, which sells from $551,800 plus on-road costs in Australia.

Even so, the 296 GT3 could take another hit as the rules for Global GT racing include a ‘Balance of Performance’ adjustment intended to even the competition between a wide variety of cars including the Mercedes-AMG GT, Bentley Continental GT and Lamborghini Huracan.

Development of the 296 GT3 has been boosted by a cost cap in Formula One racing, which has forced Ferrari to switch some spending and re-allocate some of its engineering staff to prevent them defecting to other companies – even if the company is not making any admissions.

“This is a new approach in terms of design, car management at all stages of a race weekend, electronics, and even the engine architecture, a 120-degree turbocharged six-cylinder,” said Ferrari.

The most obvious result of the Formula One connection is the car’s steering wheel, which is as loaded with buttons and knobs as the ones in the Grand Prix cars raced by Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz.

Technical tweaks to the 296 racer start with a mid-mounted V6 engine that sits lower in the chassis and has been moved further forward, towards the cabin, to improve the car’s rigidity and overall balance.

The gearbox is also set transversally (left to right) across the car — not in line with the engine (front to back) — to centralize more weight inside the longer wheelbase of the race car.

A paddle shift system is fitted, with the clutch controlled from the steering wheel – not a pedal. Ferrari says many components have been made smaller — using exotic materials including titanium — to cut weight.

The most visible change to the 296 from Ferrari’s previous GT3 racer, based on the 488, is the bodywork and aero package.

It is clearly injected with Formula One thinking, from the many extra ‘winglets’ on the front splitter through large vents over the front wheels to the giant rear wing.

Ferrari says the new car has 20 per cent more downforce than the old 488 GT3, but work has also focused on making the car easier to drive for ‘gentleman’ owners and not just professional racers.

It has also worked to make the car less susceptible to damage and quicker and easier to repair at a track during a race weekend.

To increase reliability and speed, work in the engine — everything from the intake plenum to the oil passages — is focussed on improving fuel economy and increasing the number of kilometers between rebuilds.

The alternator is mounted to the gearbox, not the engine, for easier access by mechanics.

The 296 is built for speed but there are also concessions to comfort, as many classic GT3 races are run for 12 hours — including Bathurst — and for up to 24 hours at the Nurburgring in Germany and Spa in Belgium.

So Ferrari has worked to improve the air conditioning system and improved the cockpit ergonomics over the outgoing 488, with everything from better visibility to an improved Sabelt seat and a large central panel for essential switches.

Valve has finally cleared major Steam Deck production bottlenecks

There’s good news on the horizon for those who’ve managed to preorder the handheld Steam Deck console. According to creator Valve, everyone who currently has a reservation placed will get their consoles by the end of 2022 – a major step forward for the console’s production. Those in the Q3 and Q4 reservation slots now have a guaranteed end-of-year release date, with select orders in later periods also reportedly being pushed up.

‘We’ve cleared up supply chain issues, a bunch of folks got moved up to Q3, and all other reservations are now in Q4,’ Valve clarified on Twitter. ‘For clarity, Q3 is July-September, and Q4 is October-December.’

It appears the supply chain issues – which likely included a coronavirus-induced lack of staff and materials, shipping delays and factory closures – have now been resolved, with Valve re-establishing confidence in its manufacturing capacity and ability to meet existing demand for the console .

‘Many of the supply chain shortfalls that affect Steam Deck are gradually clearing up, and we’re continuing to ramp production, so we’re able to produce more Decks faster than ever before,’ a new blog post reads.

Read: A major Steam Deck rival is now available for preorder in Australia

Sadly, this update doesn’t include information about a wider global release – but regardless, it’s good news for those keen to preorder the Steam Deck around the world. Should Valve’s production schedule continue to remain strong, it’s likely the company will open up preorders in other regions shortly.

Demand for handheld PC gaming is at an all-time high, with several competitors – including the Aya Neo consoles – now entering the global market.

In late 2021, Valve indicated it was working to provide Steam Deck preorder capacity for Australia and Japan specifically, but this has yet to materialize. Should the production update be a good indication of Valve’s progress, we could hear more about global preorders by the end of 2022.

At that stage, the console will be a full year into its life cycle, but there are certainly those who are willing to wait to hear more about the device. While Valve’s update is a minor one, it’s a good sign for everyone hanging out for preorders.

Intel Raptor Lake Core i5 and Core i7 samples appear in new benchmarks

A reviewer in China has been building up a small collection of early Raptor Lake processor samples. We’ve already seen the 13900K tested in benchmarks and now, the same reviewer has returned with early performance numbers for Intel’s upcoming Core i5-13600K and Core i7-13700K processors.

Chinese reviewer Extreme Player (via VideoCardz) tested the two chips on two ASRock Steel Legend Z690 motherboards, one using DDR5-5200 memory and the other DDR4-3600. According to the reviewer, the Core i5-13600K is a 14C/20T chip that can boost up to 5.2GHz on the P-cores and 3.9GHz on the E-cores. As for the Core i7-13700K, it comes with 16 cores and 24 threads, with the P-cores clocking up to 5.4GHz and the E-cores up to 4.3GHz. Besides the higher clock speeds compared to their predecessors, another noticeable difference is the L2 cache, which doubled from one generation to the other.

Extreme Player benchmark suite included a wide variety of tests, including Blender, Cinebench R23, CPU-Z, AIDA64 and Geekbench. Overall, the Core i5 chip was 5% faster in single-core loads than its predecessor, while the Core i7 was 9%. In multi-core workloads, the i5-13600K scored about 40% higher than the i5-12600K, and the i7-13700K was around 30% faster than the i7-12700KF.

Although the performance improvements are decent, they brought a considerable power consumption bump. For example, the 13th Gen Core i5 chip was pulling 178W, up from the 148W of the 12th Gen Core chip. In the i7’s case, it’s even worse, with the 13700K consuming 244W, while the i7-12700KF was “only” at 188W.

KitGuru says: Raptor Lake is shaping up to be Alder Lake with higher clock speeds and additional cores. With that in mind, we’ll see some decent multi-core gains, but less impressive growth in single-core performance and of course, increased power consumption.

Pokémon UNITE weekly Aeos Coins and Energy limits

Since its launch in July 2021, Pokemon UNITE has straddled the line of the free-to-play and free-to-start models, offering players multiple ways to unlock content in the game based on if they want to spend money to speed up the process.

On the F2P side of things, UNITE follows most other titles in having multiple different in-game currencies that players need to collect to upgrade items, unlock Pokémon, and more. Unfortunately, the developers also artificially limited how much of certain currency types players can earn in one sitting in a microtransaction-laden marketplace.

This doesn’t affect the harder-to-come-by currency like Aeos, Fashion, and Holowear Tickets, though. Instead, it impacts the more widely available Aeos Coins and Energy earned through playing the game.

Aeos Coins are the most common and heavily used currency in UNITE and can be earned by completing challenges, battle pass missions, and by participating in any of the game’s main modes. In turn, they can also be used to unlock a majority of UNITE’s content, like Unite Licenses that are used to add Pokémon to your usable rotation. But you’re limited to earning 2,100 coins per week.

This only applies to the Aeos Coins you’d earn by playing matches, not the additional coins you can earn by completing challenges or as rewards. But most players are more concerned that UNITE offers an item to boost coin yield that essentially just maxes that weekly limit out earlier—and it can be purchased using microtransactions.

The other hard limit applies to Aeos Energy, which is awarded to a player after every completed match.

Energy is used to roll for items in the Energy Rewards section, with a weekly limit of 1,400 Energy that can be earned. Before July 2022, this likely would have been fine since all of the Energy Rewards were cosmetic. But now, stat boosting Emblems are included in a separate pool and they actually have repercussions for gameplay.

And, just like with the Aeos Coins, UNITE has a method to earn more by purchasing consumable items in the shop.

TiMi might eventually mess with the amount of each currency that’s limited, but for now, be sure that you’re aware of each limit and use your allotted coins and energy wisely once you have them.
